We had an amazing stay at Wild Rose houseboat! Ibrahim, Faizan and Amin took such good care of us, from the time we arrived until our last day. We were made to feel at home as soon as we stepped onto the boat and nothing was too much trouble for them, including picking us up and dropping us at the airport. The bedroom was lovely and big, with a large bathroom. We were lucky enough to have the whole boat to ourselves and enjoyed spending our time on the comfy balcony. They offered us Kashmir tea whenever we wanted it, water, biscuits, anything we wanted. And the food was amazing! This is my first time trying North Indian food and it didn’t disappoint. We were offered day trips, boat trips on the lake, and long treks, which were all organised for us so we didn’t have to think about anything. We did a day trek with Faizan which was amazing, with the best views and they even prepared us a packed lunch. The boat is in the most peaceful area of the lake. I would 100% recommend staying here and would like to bring my family in the future.

The house boat was nice and the location is great,the staff was super nice and food was amazing.the rooms was very clean and comfortable.i love this place'and i highly recommend this place . Definitely i will come back again this place.

I stayed at Wild Rose for 8 days as it was recommended to me in Delhi and I had a wonderful time. I expected a place to stay but got a whole family who showed me the utmost hospitality. There was plenty of delicious home cooked food, plenty of kahwa and a steadily burning stove in the living room of the houseboat, which kept me warm during winter time. The houseboat itself provides a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom plus a spacious terrace which I would have certainly more enjoyed during summer time. Additionally I was helped to plan my trip during those days. I was shown the city srinagar and a wonderfull trip to naranag in the mountains for about three days was organized as well for a price I would consider fair. The trip to the mountains did not disappoint and also there I was considered more a part of the family than a guest. In the end I found a wholesome experience with wonderful people I would consider more as new friends than my hosts and learned lots about the land, its culture and its people. Be prepared to be the center of attention though.

I have just concluded a three-week stay on the houseboat Wild Rose! Spending time here has been an amazing experience, as I was shown what Kashmir has to offer. Planning my trip with Ibrahim was easy, and he catered to what I wanted to do within my price range. During this time, I’ve been on day trips, fishing, glacier spotting, indulging in street food, and more—all with a guide or family member explaining the customs and ins and outs of Srinagar living. The Wild Rose staff also organised a homestay in a beautiful village a few hours away. There, I hiked through beautiful terrain, experienced Gypsy culture, and ate amazing food! Not to mention making friends with the homestay family. I cannot recommend staying at Houseboat Wild Rose enough! I hope to return in the future.

Arriving from the hectic Dheli to the peacefull Dal lake was just amazing. The stove was burning hot when whe arrived at the wild rose boathous when the tempretures outside where almost minus, Amin took good care of us the whole time, lots of Kashmir thee and the best foods! Biggest surprise where the heated blankets in bed at nighttime. We went hiking in Naranag for 3 days near the himalayas, the most beautifull & challenging walks we ever did! (Machoi -trek) Our guide Fesnaan was very thoughtful and nice! Staying with a traditional family, having dinner with them was just the most unique experience!! Loved all of it!

Beautiful time spent at the houseboat and in Naranag over 2.5 weeks. Found the atmosphere to be warm and inclusive as mediated by guide Faizan and Ibrahim. The family had ***y strong ties to the mountain village, which made the stay even more special. On top of this, doing day treks to see the local mountainside was spectacular. Food was outstanding throughout, and be prepared to consume your body weight in tea! Lovely experience and have plans to return in the future.

The time we spent on the houseboat wildrose in Srinagar was absolutely great! It's such a beautiful and special place, where you have an incredible view over the Dal Lake and the Himalaya mountains behind you. Ibrahim's family and his staff is so caring, funny and welcoming! They are making great food and let you feel like home. They organized a seven-day trekking tour in the Himalayas for us, which was such a great experience! We went there with a nice and funny crew and had even some horses with us. We were camping in the beautiful nature between the mountains and learned a lot about the local life of a little mountain village. Thank you for that great time, we will never forget that!

Abraham and the team at the Wild Rose are brilliant! The houseboat is a cool experience in a great setting on Lake Dal. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience about Kashmir and trekking and helped me do an eight day trek in the mountains - a truly incredible experience.
