Marie Kelly Apartments

Villa Marie Kelly apar**ents have a lot of positives but some negatives too. Positives: The apar**ents are very spacious with all the things you need for self catering. The toastie maker was an added bonus! I've never seen an apar**ent with multiple balconies before, each with a different view. The bathroom is one of the best greek bathrooms I've ever seen. Huge walk in shower, big basin, shower that doesn't go cold then hot then cold. The apar**ents are cleaned every day with towels being changed twice a week (sometimes more). Both the ladies that clean are a credit to the apar**ents. They are so friendly and go out of their way to speak to you inside and outside the apar**ents. They did a perfect job cleaning, spotless every day! The pool is a huge pool with plenty of space to swim around even with multiple people in. Always a sunbed free, no one gets up at stupid o'clock to put their towels down and when not in use everyone removes their towels. We never had food at the pool bar but the drinks were cheap and well needed on a warm day. Both ladies behind the bar in the morning are lovely, always made you feel welcome. Both men behind the bar on the night time always greeted you and asked how your day was. The area the apar**ents are in is the quiet part of Gouves and only a 2 minute walk from great restaurants and the beach. The main shopping centre is about 40 minutes walk away so keep that in mind. Negatives: The apar**ents say they have soundproofing but I don't think they do as you can hear everything your neighbour is doing, even going to the toilet. The balconies don't have any privacy so it feels like you're sitting with your neighbours, staring at each other. The apar**ents are very noisy - you can hear the music from central bar but it does stop at an early ish time (11pm). The apar**ents are set up in a square almost so when someone closes a door it echos around the complex making it sound like they have slammed the doors. You can hear every conversation being had also. An important note: Reading the reviews made us book these apar**ents because 90% of them are positive. These reviews are from regulars that have been going to these apar**ents for years. This accommodation is VERY cliquey. It's extremely obvious who is regular and who isn't. You feel very pushed out if you're not with the in crowd. You will get treated differently so don't expect to have the same experience as majority of these reviews. ! The cleaners and bar staff don't make you feel like this ! - just the owners and other regulars.

Hotel reception area was modern with plenty of books to borrow. The complex itself was nicely layed out with plenty of space, plants and trees dotted around. Could do with being maintained a bit better.The Courtesy room and toilets next to pool were modern and clean. We were in a 1 bed upper floor. Bath room must have been recently refurbished as it was modern. The bed headboard on the wall stopped the wardrobe drawer from opening so was unable to use. The close rail in wardrobe was so high up I had to stand on tiptoes to hang clothes ( I am 5ft 4ins) The kitchen could do with a refurb, especially the fridge which was old. In the 2 weeks we were there the pool area small tables,sunbeds and floor area were never washed. Some of the sunbeds had loose screws and caps missing off the legs (a man did cut his leg and had to have stitches )while we were there. Good hotel for plane watching, even though they go in to land over hotel they do not disturb you to much and hardly noticeable once inside room with doors closed.

Me and my friend Anne have just come back from Villa Marie Kelly apar**ents had a wonderful 12 night stay. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The area was lovely with so many taverna’s and bars very close by. The owners and the staff were amazing, they go out of their way to help you in any way. We met some lovely people there who are now our friends. Billy, Adele and Dave, Jaci and Ruth, Lisa and Wayne to mention just a few! Lovely breakfasts from Natalie and superb service from George the bar man who worked very hard and such long hours he kept the bar open to accommodate the guests until they went to bed even if it was 3 o’clock in the morning! Always happy! Thank you all xx

This is a very family friendly villa, the staff are very cheery, the beach is about a 2 minute walk and the sea is very clear, the transfer to the hotel was about 35 minutes, we really recommend this villa.

We've just returned home on 17th Oct after another amazing 2 weeks in the Marie Kelly. A wonderful reception from Dimitri on arrival, which set the tone for the remainder of our holiday. This is our 5th visit to the MK, and as always, it was faultless. Olga and Dimitri were so friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more special. We met up with many old friends and made some new, during our 2 weeks. The first week, we were joined by our daughter, partner, and grandson, who all had a ball and were made especially welcome. The apar**ents were spotlessly clean thanks to the magnificent girls who worked so hard every day. Natalie was so bubbly, funny, and friendly as always whilst still managing to cook and serve up the delicious food during the day. A special mention to Giórgios behind the bar. A lovely young man who was so pleasant, friendly and hard working. (I hope you catch some fish). Already looking forward to our next visit in 2024. Thanks to all for everything. What can I say that I haven’t said before after a sixth visit to these apar**ents. Well situated for the beach and a selection of bars and tavernas, close enough to the main part of Gouves. Immaculately clean, well maintained. The best compliment that can be paid is the high number of repeat visitors. Thank you Dimitri, Olga, Natalie, Nata and Dafi. Just home from another fantastic holiday at Villa Marie Kelly. Great to see Olga and Dimitri again. They always make you feel so welcome. Everyone working at the apar**ents are so friendly and helpful - you couldn't get better. The apar**ents are spotlessly clean and comfortable. You can spend your day by the pool or take the two minute stroll down to the beach, Perfect place for a relaxing get-away.
