Relaxing week-end break not too far from home, with cycling and walking featuring. Beautiful autumn colour throughout the extensive grounds and the weather obliged too. Hotel comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner was disappointing the first evening, but very good on 2nd evening. Pleasant music in bar on Sat night also. Breakfast was good, however, more obvious choice of hot food would be good - eg omelettes, scrambled eggs etc.

We had a lovely stay from start to finish. We had Confirmation Lunch in the restaurant stayed in the Postmans Lodge and returned for breakfast in the morning. The boys (aged 12) loved the quirky bunk bed design and they could hook up their play station easily. The bar was warm and cosy with the open fire kept alight for the old mothers cold bones. The staff were so friendly and very professional. The price was reasonable enough. very suitable for families/ couples. I would stay again.
