Days Inn by Wyndham Kill Devil Hills Oceanfront - Wilbur

The price/performance ratio is very high, and it feels like a small house with all the necessary features. It is a few steps from the seaside, suitable for watching the sunrise in the morning, and it is not far from the Wrights brother memorial hall.

Our getaway was amazing From the time arrived until we left everyone here was exceptional! The hotel is right on the beach and the views are priceless. I highly recommend this location. The view and the staff are so wonderful. The room is actually a suite and has a separate living and bedroom and a full size fridge. With gas prices it is nice to have a big fridge to store snacks and drinks and even microwaveable foods to keep you from eating out every meal. Definitely my new go to place on the Outer Banke.

Stayed here for 1 night until the house we were renting for week vacation was available the next day. The front desk staff could not have been more accommadating in booking us adjoining rooms and bring a crib right to the room. Beach access was a very pleasant surprise with a nice boardwalk and tiki lounge outdoors. Very family focused.

Right on the beach. Nice pool area with a child's pool connected to the main. We had some rain and wind for 2 days so the pool temp dropped and was quite cold so we went and wade in the ocean instead of swimming. There is an open grassy area with picnic tables but no bbq but you can bring a small hibachi to use. Our room was small but we didn't use but just to sleep at night. The breakfast was good but they never change up the selection. When it is busy, they run out of the omelets and sausage. They don't do much to keep the area clean and stocked during the breakfast. The person working it also cleans rooms so they do not have a dedicated employee that just does breakfast and the one there seems annoyed that they are there. I was impressed overall by this hotel. The rooms were newly remodeled and very clean. We had new linens on the bed and new towels in the bath. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are on a budget. Great location. The concerns I previously spoke of are minor and should not stop you from staying here. There is no elevator. I have included some outside shots and a beautiful sunrise I took our last morning on the beach right at the hotel.

My visit was average. Front desk person (AA male evening shift) was very pleasant. My room was okay however my sister's room was unpleasantly odorous with an unexpected portable humidifier in the room. We enjoyed our breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the waitress was very nice. The wedding food was just okay. The hotel needs to definitely upgrade overall.
