During our coach tour of ireland, we spent 2 nights in Killarney. On one of the nights, one of our tour dinners was a special evening at the 19th Green. I think we all had high expectations and walked away a little disappointed. It was somewhat of a buffet style, where the hosts served us a little bit of everything. The Guinness stew was good, the trout was okay, and I was not a fan of the black pudding boxty. The sides were all okay, as were the desserts. There is no A/C in the dining area, and with almost 40 of us crammed in there, we got quite warm on an unusually warm, sunny Ireland evening. Before we went in to eat, the Chef came in and gave a short (actually, a long) speech about the over-processing of food, and basically how everything we eat is bad for us. I was somewhat indifferent to it, although it was a bit "preachy". However, there were a lot of people in our group who didn't care for it, and talked about it for days.

Security issue - Apparently keys to rooms are not exclusive as another guest couple unlocked and entered our assigned room at 1:15am only to see it occupied and quickly leave. Having now been awakened, it was quite noticeable that the “smoke free” room we’re in was receiving cigarette smoke from elsewhere as chatter from other residents rang through the area. Obviously, security is a major concern at this guesthouse. If keys are being assigned to other guests that can unlock other doors within the guesthouse, there is a serious issue here. Needless to say, this experience was completely unacceptable and a real disappointment.

Stayed at the ninth green guest house for wedding in Killarney. Extremely comfortable ,laid-back and helpful all round. Highly recommend. Left charger in the rooms and they kindly sent it on. Very helpful with transport to and from venue. Would recommend to stay here.

The room was small for 4 people and their luggage. The water pressure is an absolute joke and barely got to warm. You basically can plan on a towel bath and not plan on washing any long hair. The towels were stained as well, with hair in the sink upon our arrival. All luggage must be carried up a flight narrow pair of stairs, so beware if you have a lot of luggage or heavy luggage. Due to all this we would not recommend staying there unless your budget dictates otherwise.

Nice guesthouse, friendly staff. Its not a modern sleek guesthouse, but you'd probably struggle tonfind that in Killarney anyway. My room actually looked better and more modern than in the photo's. I did struggle with the key lock to get in at night, although im going to put that down to me having a few pints. I didnt have breakfast so cant comnebt on that, but as with most places at th moment needs to be pre booked up until 9pm the night before. Had all the toiletries you'd normally get, parking is fine as they have a big drive. It was convenient location for me as I had to go to a nearby hotel for a party, but uts close to town, would be a decent walk, but its also close to lovely walks nearby.

Stayed for three nights. Located outside Killarney in Fossa but nice area and close to all travel routes. Had a lovely bedroom with balcony at front of property. Very clean and all covid regulations in place , masks in communal areas etc. room was very clean and beds comfortable. Tea/coffee kettle, hairdryer and a smart TV in our room. The breakfasts were the highlight , piping hot and so tasty and plenty of tea and toast. The Vegetarian option was just wonderful. Breakfast 8am or 9am. Hostess was friendly and gave directions, advice and maps to everyone. Might have a bit of road traffic noise if windows open and the odd creaky floors but I like the character of a guesthouse over a hotel any day.

Our stay at 19th Green Guesthouse was lovely! Freda was super nice and hospitable; she gave us a few useful tips about the area. Everything was handled with care and professionalism. The accommodation respects social distancing, use of masks and other sanitary measures. Our room was clean and very comfortable, the shower was good. Access to some common areas was restricted because of the current situation, but there was a very spacious (and warmly decorated) sitting room where we were able to sit and have a bite to eat. Breakfast was also handled with care; we had to book a specific time as to respect distance. We both had the Real Irish Breakfast; which we thought was very nice and filling. Recommended. The guesthouse counts with generous parking space, which is needed if you are in this area of Ireland. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and we felt very welcome. We will be coming back and we definitely recommend it.

Hôtesse très agréable et compétente. Les chambres sont belles et confortables. Nous avons aussi une bouilloire avec thé, café. La salle de bain est très propre. Le seul petit bémol est le système de douche pas très moderne. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et adapté au prix. Je recommande cet établissement et je recommande de prendre le petit déjeuner. De plus le lieu est beau (extérieur et intérieur).
