CHC Galini Palace

Stayed here until 5/7/23. If costs a factor this hotel offers good value in comparison to other 5* prices nearby. Swimming in sharing pool rooms fantastic , perfect for getting lengths in , not too cold and can be used for actual swimming as not closed off as individual pools for each room, no restrictions on hotel pool rules. Popular room choice. Hardly anyone used SHARING pool when we were there but us and unfortunately some awkward neighbours made unnecessary conflict and complaints about swimming lengths in pool when they didn’t even use it. Other amicable neighbours were ok with it as was I when people swam past my room. Hotel manager was understanding and did agree to move us away from them though, but should have made them move as trouble makers. Requests at reception were dealt with effectively for extra dressing gown and sunbed , and had good shade at room too . Amazing views of sea and bay from sharing pool rooms. Much needed good air con in rooms . VIP Rooms had individual pools if you want to pay for that experience and next to main pool . Main pool has swim up bar , with daily snacks , made daily just not made fresh to order, and shame it shuts early by 6 pm if you want to watch sunset as fantastic views over bay. Great location on the beach, breeze by the sharing pool as elevated and weather was getting intense around midday. but does have a road to cross to get to beach . Local buses available to other resorts. A relaxed casual resort , mainly used by couples . Sea warm and pebbly at start but sand once you’re in. Resort wasn’t busy either but meant they didn’t open restaurant as promised and didn’t offer alternative option like show cooking night. Buffet food good quality selection just very repetitive , mainly cold items or on hot plates, not a broad selection of fresh cooked items , no reported illnesses though. There are several Greek restaurants at nearby small marina 15 min walk away. All inclusive did let you have extra drinks more than one at a time and essential FREE water machine near rooms, useful to take a refill bottle . Nice thoughtful touch for customers. Good selection of drinks on basic all inclusive and lots of cocktails & you can upgrade all inclusive to next level. Sadly I did experience unnecessary misogynistic behaviour towards me individually as a single parent with my adult family by controlling times when and what you can drink, for both soft or alcoholic drinks which is not ok. Remedy by using Large supermarket nearby & short walk to cheap local tavernas. Golf cart on site to take you and luggage to rooms , very helpful and collected anyone with mobility issues at night to take to restaurants which was super nice. Friendly Maid service booked on door system electronically at your choice , no early unnecessary wake ups , very modern and extra clean done when needed . Nightlife in busier platanias resort 15 mins away by taxi, lots of selection of restaurants and bars . Mainly couples and families. Privat

Having arrived at the hotel at 11.25 we were offered no welcome drink despite being all inclusive and had to pay for a drink at the bar. We paid for an upgraded room which has all the usual facilities and some slightly strange additions including a pillar in the middle of the room which completely obscures the views of the beautiful grounds and the TV if you want to lie on the bed to watch it. The shower was also broken. The walls are paper thin with an adjoining door between rooms which is unnecessary for a couple travelling alone without children. Unfortunately our neighbours may as well be sleeping in the same room based on the level of their snoring through the door and alarm going off at 7am. For the past 2 nights I have been awake since 3am. This is not a relaxing 5 star experience. Guests are limited to two free coffee pods in the room during the stay which given my 3am wake up time is a tad tight. Having spoken to reception we were advised the hotel was full (clearly untrue based on the level of guests) and no alternative rooms were available until 2 days before we are due to leave. Avoid room 2018! This is a 3 star hotel, in a 5 star location charging 5 star prices that it doesn’t deserve

Ive been in greece 7 times and this is by far the best hotell i have ever stayed in. The staff is amazingly helpfull the rooms is undoubtfully awsome. Stunning wiev from the room. The list goes on awsome food etc. Strogly recomend a visit to visit to this place.

The first thing that caught my eye the first day there was the beautiful design and reception of the hotel. The whole staff is very polite and friendly. It was amazing how every Friday in galini palace there were shows and programs for the tourists. We really enjoyed them! The food was delicious the cooks definitely did a great job! I can say I enjoyed my stay a lot. Next year i will be back in galini palace! If you need a place to stay during a family vacation this is your place! Highly recommend!

we stayed two weeks in August 2023 and we had a very good time. It is certainly not one of the cheapest locations but in my opinion it has a good value for money (average €250/night in a B&B). The room we chose was with direct access to the pool, spacious and well maintained. Excellent breakfast both for choices and for quality and quantity proposed. The common areas are also well maintained where, however, trees and plants have yet to grow.
