This hotel is quite simply fantastic! Even though it is somewhat off the beaten track, it’s worth the walk to get places. The rooms are clean and tidy, ours was modern with a flat screen tv (not that we watched it!), shower, plenty of storage space, charging points at both sides of the bed for mobile phones, fridge and air conditioning. The bed was king size with an extremely comfortable mattress. The gardens around the hotel were pretty and well kept, we saw the gardeners working hard most days. The pool area was lovely and clean with plenty of sun beds. My only negative about this area was there were too many parasols and covered areas - I found myself chasing the sun. The bar was lovely and the staff were friendly and attentive, no details were missed. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet which included bacon, eggs etc, cold meats, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, cheeses, lovely variety of breads, cereals, fresh fruit and sweet pastries. There was orange and grapefruit juice, coffee, fruit teas and water. The maitre d, Nikos, was amazing! He was so friendly and attentive, we had many laughs with him! All the staff were wonderful apart from the two receptionists - they were not particularly friendly or helpful. Overall this is an amazing hotel and we would definitely stay here again if we go back to Kos!

The Palladium is probably considered a medium size hotel. It has 1 main pool, ample free sun beds, an indoor and outdoor seating area around the bar and an upstairs dinning area again with indoor air-conditioned and outside eating area with view of the pool and mountains. The main 2 story blocks of accommodation circles the pool on 3 sides. There is also 4 separate blocks of 2 story, adults only accommodations further back, each having their own large communal pools directory outside. The ground floor apartments are called swim up rooms, you literally swim up and climb out onto your patio with private sun loungers and table and chairs for 2. These are the new refurbished rooms. Some of the rooms in the older part have also been refurbished. I however stayed in one of the older decor rooms. Apart from being a bit dated, it was fine. Mattress comfortable, air con quiet. Mosquito nets on windows. Bathroom in good repair. The shower is in the bath so have to climb into the bath. Fridge with freezer shelf. Cupboard with hangers and extra pillows. Patio with table and chairs. There is a safe in the room but have to pay extra to use it. I didn't so don't know how much. The fridge and air-con come standard no extra cost. The hotel has beautiful gardens, fruit trees, rose bushes, flowers, so even the "cheap" rooms have lovely views of greenery and flowers. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. They speak German and English. The location of the hotel, Marmari, is popular with German visitors. I think the hotel is relatively new on Jet2 for UK visitors. I only stayed B&B so can't comment on the all inclusive drinks etc. The breakfast was OK. It was buffet style, self service. Cereals, fruits, yogurts, cold meats, feta and other cheese, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, various bread rolls and bread sticks, toast, preserves, eggs scrambled fried or boiled, omelette, sausage, bacon, mini pastries like pan o chocolate etc. Because there's a lot of Germans, there's some German foods and don't expect the bacon or sausage to be english. Maybe German. You can buy lunch there relatively well priced, i had €4.50 for cheese ham wrap, fresh and nice. Cocktails are OK, €9. Draught beer including german Weissbeir Erdinger €5.50 a pint. Don't think they did bitter except Guinness. There was only 1 night of entertainment I experienced in 10 days, which was a greek live music and dance performance. There was music playing of an evening but seemed to be background music. There are tip jars around for everyone, the gardeners, waiters, kitchen staff, reception to leave tips at end of your stay. I left cleaners tip in my room. Another thing, don't leave your room without your room key or you'll lock yourself out. Don't leave any food even wrappers or sweet drinks out in your room or you'll get ants. The flower beds are beautiful but attract bees if you are frightened of them. Location wise, there's not much in Marmari. The hotel is very close to the bus stop t

awesome hotel..just so peaceful and relaxing. we did have the swim up pool rooms, and they are great.modern room..good air con and safe.hotel also provides beach towels which is handy. the rest of the rooms look a bit small to me tbh. all the staff are excellent and the grounds are imaculate. great breakfast and we had one evening meal which was very good. the hotel is more geared up for all inclusive and mainly german guests.but dont let that put you off its lovely.not a lot close by but just enough.the aegean restaurant close by is excellent..and summer villiage bar is great for cocktails. small shop close by for essentials too..but u can get some basic supplys in reception. short bus trip to tigaki is good..lot busier and more food choice,1.80 euro each way..(15 mins) or kos town on bus 2.10 euro each way (30/40 mins) really good bus service. beach is a relatively short walk away..so all good... enjoy :)

This hotel was amazing - the staff were fantastic and made the hotel. All of the staff were friendly and said good morning and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the adult only pool and the food at the pool side bar was really good - we were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was a buffet style and there was a choice of fruit - salad - muesli - cereal and cooked produce. The hotel is a good 15 minutes from the beach but there is a short cut. Mamari beach is lovely and there are plenty of sunbeds for hire. We walked from Mamari into Tingaki - along the beach and it took about an hour but it was very hot. Mamari has not got many restaurants and it is very quiet so we often went into Tingaki on the bus and got a taxi back which cost about 12 euros - Tingaki has a great range of restaurants and the beach is lovely - there are plenty of water sport activities available. Kos town is great and the bus leaves 5 mins away from the hotel - the bus does tend to get busy though. One evening we got a taxi back and it cost 20 euros. We hired a car a couple of days t explore the beautiful Island. Lase year we stayed in Tingaki and did the trips - the three Island tour and the Volcano trip is well worth a visit - Zia is also incredible - don't miss the beautiful sunset from here. All in all we had a great holiday here

We have just had 11 relaxing days at the Palladium Hotel. The hotel is very well maintained & very clean. ALL the staff work exceptionally hard. The food is lovely, always something to have. The desserts!! Wow!! The beach is a short walk away. And the pool area is lovely and quiet, we could always get a sun lounger. We hired a car for 3 days which was so worth it. Take a trip to Zia to see the sunset! go to the Happy Flamingo Beach & go see the peacocks in Plaka. Such a beautiful island! ☀️ efcharistó 💗

A wonderful hotel complex. The three star accommodation rating by most holiday providers doesn't do the place justice. Lovely food on our 11 night stay. Drinks are sensibly priced, and all the staff are so friendly and a credit to the establishment. The grounds are impeccably maintained by the staff. Rooms are pleasant and spacious. The aircon kept up nicely with the heatwave. Nicely laid out place. Two swimming pools. One for adults only. Wifi is free and although appears quite advanced in its protocols, it seems leggy at times and drops / reconnects often. There is a nearby vehicle hire company if you want to go off and explore the sleepy island. The location is a walk to the beach if you're up for it. It's probably a little far with children on tow. The location is good for busses and a taxi further afield. We didn't venture to Kos Town. It's quite a way and a hefty taxi fair. Lots of buses seem to go in that direction. Marmari and Tigaki are both nothing places. A few bars and a handful of souvier shops. All a bit underwhelming. A wonderful hotel if you want a week by the pool to unwind.

A brilliant hidden gem hotel is Kos. We booked this hotel on a bit of whim as there aren’t many reviews on the Jet2 website but we were pleasantly surprised. If you are after a relaxing, peaceful holiday this is the place for you. Located in the quiet village of Marmari this hotel meets all your needs. The staff are EXCELLENT and go above and beyond for you no matter what. Special mention to Alexis behind reception. We stayed in the deluxe rooms and they are beautiful and well maintained. They are located right in front of the adults only pool which is lovely, nobody reserves sunbeds and there are plenty of sunbeds to go around. There is also another pool that is child friendly and more shaded. Wide variety of food served at the buffet breakfast and dinner albeit a little repetitive but you can’t complain. Great bar, with an extensive drinks menu and in the day it doubles as a snack bar where you can get burgers, pizzas, toasties and more. Bare in mind this is an extra charge. It is also just a short walk from the bus stop to Kos town which €2.10 each way. The beach is a 15 minute walk and there are a handful of restaurants and cocktail bars on the front. Amazing hotel and will definitely be returning !

I'll try and explain the set up here as its complicated. The original Palladium is still going strong and it was probably built 20 or 30 years ago. Maybe even longer. The reception area and restaurant have a Spanish kind of feel about them as lots of dark wood furniture. All areas, including pool area are kept spotlessly clean and well maintained. The garden areas are beautifully cared for. The hotel has then expanded by buying the land next door and building 4 blocks of 12 rooms. Each block has its own large swimming pool. The ground floor rooms in these blocks are swim-up rooms. These rooms are brand new as the 4th block has only just been finished. There is lots of room between the old and the new. Because of the age of the two contrasting areas , there is a price difference between the old and the new rooms, which is completely understandable. In the older block, there looked to be rooms on the first floor which had private balconies, but there were rooms on the ground floor that only had a table and chairs outside the door to the room. Not sure if you get a choice of where your room is if you book the cheaper option. We booked a first floor room in one of the new blocks. It cost more but was worth it . The room was excellent and included pool towels and safe which were extras in the old blocks. The new rooms have been well designed and have lots of storage space in wardrobes and drawers, which seem to be disappearing in hotel rooms everywhere these days. Comfortable beds and a rainforest shower. Also the sliding door to the balcony had a sliding mesh screen to keep the mosquitoes at bay, as did the bathroom window. Because of the newness of the building, the efficient ducted aircon was virtually silent so could be left on all night if needed. No problems with sunbeds , we had the pool to ourselves a lot of the time. So its kind of two hotels in one, but what really stands out over the whole complex is the quality of the staff who were without fail friendly and helpful. The whole place is very quiet and there is no entertainment or animation team, but that is exactly why a lot of people would want to come here. We only had breakfast, which was fine so can't comment on the evening meal. The clientele is mainly German and I think that Jet2 have been been coming here for just a couple of years so the ratio may start to change. Its a bit out of the way so be prepared to walk. Can recommend the Aegean restaurant just down the road, lovely people but seem to be suffering from the All Inclusive places that stifle local businesses, but that is happening everywhere. Would not hesitate to return, but would hire transport if we went again to make it easier to get around. Would also again go for the first floor in the new blocks. Well worth the extra cost.

The standard of service offered by this family run hotel was far above the three star rating it currently holds. Staying in an exceptional well presented Swim up room with private sun loungers and patio furniture adjacent to an adults only pool, it offered a very peaceful area to relax. A short walk to the main complex for bar and restaurant facilities did include a few steps to negotiate, although alternative disabled access is available. The restaurant provides a wide selection of local and continental cuisine buffet style, constantly being refreshed, with table service for drinks by extremely friendly and helpful staff. Hotel cleanliness and overall presentation was outstanding. There is a children's pool, but the complex is really aimed at older people. Local bus services run regularly from a bus stop just 100m from the front of the hotel, which will take you into historic Kos town for 2.10 euros each way. Although Marmari has the closest beaches (1.5km) there are more facilities at Tigaki. You can take a pleasant walk along small roads past the Salt Sea ( with flamingos in the summer) to Tigaki (4.5km). If you fancy exploring the island by car there are several car hire vendors close to the hotel offering deals. Although there are tea and coffee provisions in the room, additional provisions such as bottled water, etc. can be purchased in the lobby of the hotel or at one of the mini supermarkets adjacent to the hotel. Until recently this hotel catered for mainly German clients, but it is now expanding its popularity with English customers, taking on Jet2.com holidays. Our overall holiday experience was far beyond our expectations and the Palladium hotel and their staff were certainly five star.
