Hotel Alte Post

Small family hotel, older style. The rooms are not large but very comfortable. The breakfasts are included and adequate. The staff are wonderful and always available to help. Transport links are great also with the trams stopping just out front. The room rate is very reasonable. The hotel is not far from Castle Linn, the original centre for this area. The are many restaurants available close by.

Just passing through, I chose this somewhat old fashioned hotel. I chose this since everything in my price range seemed fully booked in Düsseldorf and the cheaper hotels in the area seemed quite bad. I was very pleased with "Alte Post". All staff I was in contact with were friendly and the price was good, both the rate itself and in the small self-serve bar. Room was a little dated but clean and fulfilled all needs. Maybe a little too thin walls, but no big deal. Free parking and decent, typically German, breakfast included. I'd be happy to stay here again if I ever pass through Krefeld again.
