Hotel Keihan Kyoto Grande

Hygiene: Can you believe I slept with an unknown yellow stain on my bed for three days? The hotel has an eco-friendly linen change service, which means they only make the bed, not change the sheets. Facilities: It's an old hotel. The carpets are black, the plastic is brittle, and there are scratches and oxidation everywhere, but it's still functional. Soundproofing is almost non-existent; it's like the rooms are separated by two hollow wooden boards. I could hear everything clearly: my neighbors *******, scraping against the wall, banging, and laughing. Environment: The hotel boasts an excellent location. Service: Once again, I was assigned a room right next to the elevator, which I wasn't happy about.

Traveling with the kids, we booked this hotel and it was great overall. The three separate beds meant we didn't disturb each other, and the soundproofing was good too. It's super convenient for getting around, right across from JR, and there's a 7-Eleven and Lawson downstairs. The building next door is a mall with food and drinks and a drug store on B1, Don Quijote on the second floor, and even a Manga Valley store on the fourth floor. Plus, they provide Sekkisei skincare products daily, which is a nice touch. It's fantastic, we'll definitely stay here again next time.

My 18-year-old son booked this trip himself and he was very happy with it. The location is excellent and it's great value for money.

The hotel is conveniently located directly across from JR Kyoto Station, making it super easy to find. The room size was decent, especially for the king-size bed I booked, which I really liked. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, particularly for JR lines – no need to rush at all. The absolute highlight was the breakfast! There was such a wide variety, including sushi 🍣, various alcoholic beverages, cheese, salads, and grilled meats. The restaurant faces the station, so I highly recommend opting for breakfast – it's excellent value, and the sushi was delicious. The service was great too, and the lobby offers complimentary water and even Sekkisei cosmetics, which was an amazing bonus!

It's hard to put into words. The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station, which is convenient for getting around. However, the facilities are quite old. The staff's attitude was pretty standard, neither warm nor cold. But the Trip.com concierge and complaints department were excellent, really great!

The hotel's location is great, right near Kyoto Station, but following Google Maps can be a bit confusing as you have to go through B2. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The breakfast, in particular, was fantastic with a wide variety of choices and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

This hotel is really great! The location is excellent, with the airport shuttle to Kansai Airport right outside the door, and you can even buy tickets at a self-service machine. The duty-free shop on the third floor is super convenient. The self-service breakfast is also fantastic and reasonably priced, with a huge variety of options. There are a lot of Korean staff members too. Sometimes you have to queue for breakfast, but I was surprised to find sashimi available!
