1786 the Limestone Inn

My husband and mother had never been to a B&B before so they were a bit skeptical when I suggested one. After this visit they are no longer skeptical .The owners were gracious and accommodating. They gave us wonderful suggestions on where to visit and things to do. The inn was beautiful and comfortable. The fireplaces were warm and inviting and so were the deep clawfoot tubs! Beautiful quilts adorned the beds and the breakfast was AMAZING! I throughly enjoyed our time there and can’t wait to return.

My daughter and I stayed at the Limestone Inn during a getaway in Lancaster Co. Not just a place to stay, the Inn could be a destination all on its own. Every room was furnished comfortably and in period. The beds were particularly comfortable. Fireplace in every room. Lovely gathering rooms. The hosts were warm and could provide a good bit of history of not only the house, but of Strasburg as well. The breakfast was Outstanding! I would go back just for the breakfast! I will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Limestone Inn. The owners are wonderful people and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend this place! The rooms were comfortable and inviting and you won't find a better breakfast anywhere!

This was by far the best B&B that my wife and I have ever stayed! Rick and Denise went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfasts were something like out of a culinary show (both good looking and tasted wonderful), the house was cozy and inviting, the bedrooms were comfortable, etc. I could go on and on! We will definitely be going there again and will also recommend it to our friends.

One of the best…accommodations, breakfast and hospitality. Doesn’t get any better than this for a b and b! Denise and Rick are amazing! Great location near Sight and Sound Theatre, restaurants and shopping. Just perfect!

My husband, a good friend and I traveled to Lancaster to attend Sight and Sound in Sept. 2022. Rather than stay at a motel, we decided to try a B&B. That is when we first discovered the Limestone Inn. Fast forward to this Sept. (2023), we once again traveled to Lancaster and made sure we booked our rooms at the Limestone Inn. You need to call ahead several weeks/months to be sure they have a room available for when you are planning your visit to the area. The hosts, Rick and Denise, are very warm, friendly folks and go out of their way to assure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Their breakfasts are awesome and no one leaves the table hungry. They will accommodate any food allergies you may have and everything is homemade. Their home is extremely clean and the rooms are all nicely decorated with homemade Amish quilts on each bed. There were snacks and soft drinks always available. The inn is quite notable, being a National Historical Landmark. Several of the restaurants in small downtown Strasburg are within walking distance. Parking on the property is tight but manageable. There are plenty of things to do in the Lancaster area including the Amish, art museums, and several railroad museums within 4 minutes.

This was our first B&B experience and it did not disappoint! I have not one negative thing to say about the accommodations, hospitality and food. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend to anyone visiting the Lancaster area. Every detail of your stay has been considered and we really enjoyed meeting and interacting with the other guests. The location is central to many of the popular tourist attractions and restaurants. I certainly would return in the future!
