"The amenities were basic and the room was quite small. The only pleasant surprise was the fantastic location right on the Spree River, offering lovely river views from the window. However, I was charged €5 for a €3.91 tax fee because my credit card wouldn't process it and they claimed they had no change, which I found completely unacceptable. (On a positive note, the female staff and a male staff member who appeared to be Latin or Italian provided excellent service and were very professional.)"

"Cons - 1. Too much of an „The Office“ vibe. The lobby and the building are very modern. However, the corridors and rooms look like they are from the early 2000s. The bathroom looks especially sad. Pros + 1. Great location. You can buy groceries and eat at the train station (This works even on Sunday in Germany). 2. Also, it is very easy to get to any part of Berlin. 3. Delicious breakfast. The food is very varied and tasty. Wonderful staff. Special thanks to the hotel staff and managers. They were very understanding of our special situation. Thank you."

"Excellent location, very close to the city center, just one metro stop from the central station, making it very convenient for airport access. The surrounding area is pleasant, safe, and quiet. The room is large, a rare spaciousness for Europe. The staff are Chinese-friendly, the front desk service is good, the facilities are new, and the hygiene conditions are excellent."

The space is impressively large, impeccably clean, and comes fully equipped with everything you could possibly need — from a well-stocked kitchen to comfortable, thoughtfully arranged living areas. Centrally situated yet tucked away in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood, you get the best of both worlds: easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport, without any of the noise or chaos you’d expect from a central address. We traveled with our young children and it was an ideal setup for a family. The apartment offers plenty of room for kids to move around safely, and the calm surroundings meant peaceful evenings and restful nights — something every parent traveling with little ones will truly appreciate. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, a group of friends, or a family with small children, this apartment ticks every single box. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious, well-located, and comfortable stay. A true 5-star experience from start to finish."

"Friendly staff along with a varied breakfast choice. Great location close the U2 metro station, which will take you from one side of Berlin to the other. Excellent restaurants very close for some tasty meals if you’re tried and need something convenient. I recommend Weingrun and Bellisima."

"The hotel is located in a very good place near Alexanderplatz and has good connections. The staff were polite and kind. My room had a nice city view. But the hotel has some weird rules such as we have to reserve for room clean every day and they won't clean the room regularly that I could not figure out why Hotel management made that rule. Also they just provide water for the first day as welcome gift and after that we have to buy."

"Heart of Gold Hostel Berlin was extremely easy to find upon my arrival to Berlin Station. Immediately upon entering I could tell that this hostel had a certain kind of relaxed vibe to it. Not bad. If you arrive early and want to lock your bags but don't own a lock, you can rent one for a 10€ deposit. Check-in also requires a 10€ deposit. Both can be paid woth cash or card but when they return it upon departure, they will only give it back as cash. I was assigned a capsule on the first level and first thing I encountered was a guy walking in hit Itty bitty skivvies. Um, ok I guess. Again, relaxed vibe. The capsule was okay only with the door open. Close it ans it's like you're in a coffin. Hot, hot, hot, and very little air circulation. I brought that to the attention of thr front desk staff and later a guy told me that ”the motor is running” so the fan is working. I took video... the motor may be heard but it def was not working. Felt like I was sweating buckets on night 2. Glad I didn't stay an extra night. Bathroom were relatively clean, byr toilet paper was not always installed. Also, ask for a towel if needed b'c it's not automatically offered. Breakfast is 10€ and was mainly vegan. Was not worth the cost imo. Anyhow... most staff were chill. Just don't like the low effort that was put in for checking about the fan in my capsule. There is no point in booking a capsule if you need to keep the door to it open to breathe. Anyhow... of that issue was fixed, I would stay again."

"The stuff working there was really nice - that's for sure, besides that we we're quite disappointed, our one and only big expectation was for the room to be clean - unfortunately we found hair on the floors in the bathroom which didn't even look like it was properly vacuumed, hair in the bed, dirty walls, and disgusting stains on the carpet flooring, also the telephone was covered in dust and the pillow was stained with something green."

"The price is very convenient, especially considering the central location and if you are traveling solo. The structure is well organized and functional. I appreciated the bathroom concept - even though it’s shared, you have your own individual space, which gives you privacy and comfort. I stayed for 6 nights and always found the bathrooms to be very clean. It was also surprisingly quiet. I was able to sleep well every night. For more sensitive sleepers, they even provide earplugs. Overall, a good option if you’re looking for an affordable, clean, and well structured place to stay in Berlin."

"Ideal location very close to train station, wifi wouldn’t reach the bedroom though and only worked in the bathroom and we had a member of staff walk into our room without knocking. Buuuut the front desk staff were beyond amazing and helped us immensely. Sauna access is also incredible for tired exploring feet!"
