"The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came every day. The transportation was also very convenient. The double room was quite spacious, and the facilities were relatively new. My only complaint is that the breakfast was very basic and repetitive; I ate the same things for three days straight and got tired of it."

"We asked friends for a referral to an excellent hotel in London and the Limehouse Library Hotel was recommended by several. We were pleasantly surprised at what a jewel this establishment is!!! We loved the eclectic collections and the unusually cheery decor and have decided that your team has absolutely excelled in making a 4 STAR hotel into a 4 STAR PLUS place to stay. We had dinner in your restaurant and it was superb. The waiter was very attentive and was professional in his manner. The breakfast was again a delightful surprise, mixing local British fare with Turkish items and we were absolutely overjoyed with it. We will definitely recommend your Hotel to others and report back to the goup that recommended it that we were SO pleased and out little night away ended too soon! We'll be back Thanks again, Kind regards, Bob and Carole Marsland (Carole Grant)"

"My friend and I were not satisfied with our experience at this hotel. We were shocked to learn that the hotel operates on a “first come, first served” policy, which was never communicated to us in advance. Due to a delayed flight, we informed the hotel that we would be checking in late, after midnight, and the staff assured us that it would not be a problem. However, upon arrival, we were told that our room had been given to someone else. This was unacceptable, especially since we had notified them ahead of time and it's nearly 6am we were extremely knackered. The hotel then offered to relocate us to another property – Point A Hotel in Westminster – and as compensation, promised complimentary breakfast and a late check-out. We were told that the stay at this alternative hotel would be for one or two nights. A driver was assigned to take us there, but upon arrival, we discovered that breakfast was not included at this location as promised cause point A Wesminster doesn't provide it at all . The room we were given was tiny, plus along a busy main road, and had poor insulation – the window could not be fully closed and was not double-glazed. As a result, we were disturbed by traffic noise and sirens throughout the day and night. Moreover the room with “”city view” over London eye was coverd by scaffold outside our window, and we can even hear joiners workers walking and chatting outside on the scaffold. But we had to admit that this alternative hotel is situated at a much better location close to Westminster. Although the staff at the Westminster branch were friendly and tried to make us feel welcome by offering us four cups of coffee in total during our stay, it did not compensate for the inconvenience and discomfort we experienced. Moreover, we were never relocated back to the original hotel we had booked."

"Location was amazing, just a short ferry ride to Canary Wharf, great little pub the Blacksmith 20 metres down the road and l think that was its best bits. The staff were miserable we never saw a single smile from any of them. The breakfast was terrible everything was cold and not much to choose from. The room was okay but very basic no amenities hair dryer etc…. Booked this place thinking it was a hotel (Double Tree by Hilton) not a hostel bad decision. It’s a real shame because it could be an amazing place, just a shame the staff weren’t up to it."

"The surroundings are a bit dirty and chaotic, with a lot of Indian and Middle Eastern people. However, this 23-square-meter hotel is indeed very new and clean in all aspects. If you don't mind the location, this hotel offers great value for money. I happened to stay during a marathon weekend and it was only 1100 including breakfast. It's also close to the subway; you can get off at Shawell and walk for about 5 minutes."

"Friday. Check in was so easy so good didn't need to speak to staff other than to ask where the lifts were. Room on tenth floor with great view of the Thames and part of Tower Bridge. A very busy hotel al all times. Enjoyable stay. However, the rooms ac very noisy and at gone midnight had to go down to reception to complain (phone not working). Concierge said will arrange to turn off centrally which was done and should be fixed next day. Saturday. On going to bed found that I could now control the ac but it was still very noisy so turned off. Not very good with the hot weather."

"Fantastic stay from start to finish! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well organised. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It was the perfect base for our London trip. The only minor things were a loud noise when turning on the water and no cups in the bathroom for brushing teeth, but these were very small details. Amazing breakfast too ! Overall, we loved our stay and would happily come back again!"

"Good location. DLR less than 5 min walk away and 4 stops away from Canary Wharf (10 mins) or 20min ish walk. Facilities are great, really nice pool cinema room etc. view from 15th floor was really good. Apartment unfortunately let it down - there is no A/C (we knew this before booking but did regret it a bit as it ended up being 24c) would be nice if the rooms had fans. There is also nothing provided in the kitchen, just a kettle and mugs you have to ask for everything, I understand why they do this it just put us off cooking anything as we would’ve had to gone downstairs to ask. Another thing to note is it’s tinyyyy (again we could see that before booking) but hadn’t quite realised how small- it’s definitely more suited for one person and gives more student accommodation vibes than hotel, our apartment was run down in a few places. There isn’t really any photos online of the bathrooms but the shower again is very small- can just about fit one small person. We were given one toilet roll and had to ask reception for more, to which they had to send someone to our apartment for. Also to note- No matter what size apartment you get the beds are all the same size (small double) so just bare that in mind if you’re tall or like to spread out. Overall the stay was good, the price I think was fair for the quality of apartment. I’d stay here again in the winter if the price was right. It could just make some improvements."

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer. The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience. We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside. The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything. The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient. We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside. On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out. All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults. We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.

EEhime OmokhodionI recently stayed at Novotel London Canary Wharf and it was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve had in London. From the moment I checked in, the atmosphere felt modern, welcoming, and effortlessly comfortable. The highlight of the stay was definitely the view from my room. Waking up to the Canary Wharf skyline and watching the city lights come alive at night was incredible. The floor-to-ceiling windows made the entire room feel bright and spacious, and the panoramic cityscape gave the stay a real luxury feel. Another standout experience was visiting Bōkan, the hotel’s restaurant and rooftop bar. The views from up there are absolutely breathtaking , you get a stunning panoramic perspective of the whole of London, from Canary Wharf to landmarks across the city skyline. Whether during sunset or later in the evening, the atmosphere is unforgettable. The combination of great food, drinks, and those sweeping views made it one of the best parts of the trip. The hotel amenities were also excellent. The pool was clean and relaxing, perfect after a long day exploring or working in the city. The gym was well-equipped with everything needed for a proper workout, and the sauna added an extra touch of relaxation that really elevated the overall experience. Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf delivers the perfect mix of comfort, modern luxury, amazing facilities, and spectacular London views. I’d happily stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Canary Wharf.

GGuest UserAmazing location, amazing service. It was my birthday and the room was decorated beautifully with complimentary drink and chocolate. Could not have asked for more. The only negative was the room was extremely hot which made is very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second night spoke to front desk and they advised to turn all air con/heating off and brought us a fan up so the second night slept like a baby in very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautiful but u fortunately we ran out of time but when we have another stay at the beautiful hotel we will certainly visit it.

GGuest UserI booked the room for 1 night as I was attending a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I was very happy with the cost of £73 for the night for a Superior Single room. The staff were friendly & welcoming. My room was on the 4th floor. The lift was very noisy which was a bit of a worry but it worked ok. The room was small with nowhere for me to put my small suitcase. When I first opened my room door I was met with a very noisy portable air con unit. Thankfully the heatwave earlier in the week had eased so I turned off the air con unit. The furnishings & bedding in the room were a little bit tired for a 4* hotel but ok. There were complimentary toiletries, bathroom robe & tea, coffee & a small packet of biscuits. I’d asked for a quiet room if possible & that’s what I got. I had a shower the next morning but it took a while to heat up. Also a non-adjustable monsoon shower head which could be an issue for some. Also part of the shower drain edge was broken. I didn’t pay for a breakfast upon booking as wanted to keep my options open. Both the Trip website & the signs in the hotel stated the cost of the buffet breakfast was £14 but the staff said it was £15. I decided on the breakfast in the end. There was plenty of choice even if the bacon & sausages were a bit dried out but that’s to be expected with a hot buffet breakfast. Caffeine free coffee was also available. I was happy with my short stay at The Rockwell & would definitely book again.

JJo WarawutIf you're staying here, you'll find the price reasonable, under 10,000 baht per night, especially since it's in Zone 2. Most places further in are over 10,000 baht. The hotel is clean and the service is standard. We requested two connecting suites for our daughters, and they had a sofa that converted into a bed. The furniture might look a bit dated because the hotel is old, but many things are clean and new. I liked the new Nespresso capsule coffee machine with complimentary large capsules. The tea here is also good. The bathroom has a bathtub with good water pressure, and the shampoo and conditioner smell nice. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's a bit old and the mattress isn't very soft. But overall, it was a comfortable stay.

LLiyaniuThe room was incredibly small! I couldn't believe how tiny 10 square meters felt. I was genuinely shocked when I opened the door. It was even difficult to open my luggage. The table was pathetically small, and there wasn't even a chair. Storage space was extremely limited. The bathroom was even tinier, comparable to an airplane lavatory. Overall, my stay was very uncomfortable. The only positives were the comfortable bed and the breakfast, which at least offered some variety. After a difficult two nights, I decisively moved to the Hilton across the street, and the experience was significantly better. What baffles me is that this place was even more expensive than the Hilton. On the whole, dining and getting around were very convenient, with various UCL colleges in the vicinity. There's a Nero Cafe right next door, so if you don't want the hotel breakfast, you can grab something there. Heading south down the street, you'll find quite a few Chinese restaurants, which is very handy.

BBoYanboThis is a 'decent' hotel. Yes, that's the word. The facilities aren't brand new, but the mattress in the room is still comfortable, the towels are still soft, the toilet paper is still thick, and the hygiene standards are consistently good. The breakfast is a classic English breakfast, meeting the expected standards for a four-star hotel. The location is excellent, situated in a wealthy area of London with very convenient transportation; the subway station is right next door. And the price, especially during the off-season, offers fantastic value for money. Backed by the Millennium Hotels Group and Singaporean capital, it's surprisingly good – the hotel's own restaurant serves authentic wonton noodles and Hainanese chicken rice! Plus, guests get discount coupons! If I had to summarize in one sentence, I'd say this is a well-managed, old-fashioned but not outdated hotel.

SSvetlana….The location is great, walking distance to Oxford street, very close to the metro and Hide park. We booked a standard double room but we were upgraded and got a renovated room on the 4th floor. It was very warm and we didn’t use AC. Wi Fi was good The bed is a bit small, but for 2 nights ok. We had coffee and tea bags. It was clean The staff was very friendly The only thing we didn’t like is the lift. It’s very old and it was stuck several times, so I had to take steps

GGuest UserFrom the outside, the hotel looks good, but as soon as you're in the hallway, you realize it's a super old hotel. The rooms were scrawled on, extremely small, and had deteriorated over the years – but they were clean, as they were tidied daily. Additionally, there were hardly any power outlets, but the Wi-Fi reception was very good. The staff was very friendly, and the location was super central, making it very easy to get from A to B (the train station is 5 minutes away).
