Hotels near Barcola, Trieste

"Nice light airy apartment in great location. Close to the Flix bus stop, train station, cruise terminal and bars/restaurants/shops. Apartment is fairly basic but comfortable enough. Bed was a little firm, bathroom and kitchen basic. Would consider staying again at the right price."

"We had a twin room with 2 single beds. It was great that the bathroom was in the bedroom and we had a small balcony. The hostel has an elevator and free luggage storage. The reception isn't open 24 hours, but the staff are friendly. The bar in the hostel is also good. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar was closed or only open for private events. The hostel doesn't have its own parking. Nearby are Molo IV car park and Saba Silos multi-storey car park at the station, both not far away (chargeable and possibly requiring prior reservation). There's also a free car park for cars a bit further out (Park Bovedo), which is easily reached by bus line 6. Unfortunately, the bus is always quite full. There are some bars nearby and almost everything is within walking distance. :( The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The doors close quite loudly, which makes it difficult to sleep in during your holiday. Generally, the hostel is quite noisy. I would have liked to have found a wardrobe or hangers in the room."

"The hotel is close to the train and bus stations, making it convenient for those who need to get around by public transport. The room is simple but clean, and breakfast is available for an additional fee. The receptionist is friendly and helpful. You can leave your backpacks at the hotel. The city center is really close and can be reached on foot. There's a pub next to the hotel where you can eat throughout the day. I recommend it."

"A very friendly reception with personal note. The hotel is centrally located and has beautiful rooms. When staying with bicycles, the hotel is able to stay in the area. The parking lot is only 5 minutes walk from the train station when you arrive by car."

"We had pre-checked in, so even though we arrived at the hotel after 8 pm, it was very convenient to get the key at the door by following the instructions! There are many restaurants near the hotel, so even if breakfast wasn't included, it was easy to find something nearby! The hotel's facilities were very thoughtful and user-friendly, which was excellent! If you're going to board a cruise ship at the Pier Trieste, this hotel is a great choice, as it's only a 5-minute walk from the cruise terminal!"

"The hotel was as described, good location not far from the train station but not too close. Close to the shops and bars and city center. They offer free minibar, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here. The only downside is the lack of day light and lights in the room are also not bright."

"Overall, it's not bad, but for an NH hotel, there are some issues: we were put in a room for people with disabilities (maybe they don't have any regular rooms left?), there's no drinking water—they told us to drink tap water, there's no coffee machine in the room or at reception, no toothbrushes in the room, and the view from the window is onto the courtyard (photo attached). The breakfast is decent, but worse than at other NH hotels in other locations. So, compared to other NH hotels, this one is worse in every way, more like a budget Ibis. The location is convenient: between the train station and the cruise port."

"The room was very clean, but the smell in the building was not very good. How to say the old smell... The room is on the third floor, the elevator is very small, the location is good, 5 minutes walk to the beach, no service, from the beginning to the end I saw the boss alone. After check-in, you need to carry your luggage on the first floor, which is not convenient. The experience is very general and the price is not cheap."

"The hotel’s location is excellent, very close to the city center and the grand canal. The rooms are very clean and the hotel staff is quite welcoming and helpful. Breakfast variety was not the best, and it would have been nice to have an indoor pool in the hotel, given that we visited in December, so it would have been hard to visit the beach (there are no public beaches in the main Trieste city anyway, we’d have to go to Barcola for that)."

"Very good hotel. We took the cruise at Trieste, and the Gesida Cruise Terminal was just a five-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel facilities are first-class and the breakfast is rich and the service is warm. It is recommended to stay with friends who take the cruise."
