MMarawan ShalabyThe hotel’s location is excellent, very close to the city center and the grand canal. The rooms are very clean and the hotel staff is quite welcoming and helpful. Breakfast variety was not the best, and it would have been nice to have an indoor pool in the hotel, given that we visited in December, so it would have been hard to visit the beach (there are no public beaches in the main Trieste city anyway, we’d have to go to Barcola for that).

GGuest UserAs I arrived early in the morning, I went to the counter to leave my luggage first, and they served me a complimentary plate of coffee and croissants. It was wonderful hospitality.
However, although the booking page on Trip.com said ”1 queen bed”, the actual room had ”1 single bed” (I'm not sure if this is Trip.com's fault or the hotel's).

TTimeTravellerIf you want to truly experience Trieste in the right location and with style then this is the place. A small perfectly built Palace run by staff who care about their guests. There is absolutely everything you need here. I arrived late at night and when I walked out onto the breakfast room the following room found myself saying wow at the view on the stunning Piazza. I choose this hotel because I had always wanted to stay there in Trieste, I did return for a second stay and I would stay there again. You are close to the sea, the historical centre, numerous bars and restaurants, shopping and tourist hotspots. The rooms are lovely, majestically clean. Breakfast are a relaxing experience you do not want to hurry because why would you with that view around you. The bar is the place to be throughout the day and also acts as an informal restaurant throughout the day. Formal is also available but that was not my choice. Rooms were large comfortable and very clean with the best amenities provided. Book your stay, you know you want to!

EElva Hsu👍 It is very convenient to take a bus from the train station to the accommodation, but there is no cash on the car, and you need to buy a ticket or swipe a credit card in advance.
👍 The bus stop is really not far from the accommodation, but it will not be able to go around if you go the wrong way.
❓ is a self-service check-in, but I was not told and didn't know what to register online in advance? So I couldn't get the room card, and I tossed at the door for a long time before getting the assistance of other passengers and calling customer service to get a solution.
🍄 The room is on the top floor - it is a loft - the beam is a bit short~~ We are very afraid of hitting our heads when we are old, otherwise it is a special accommodation experience.
🍄 The space is spacious, but the kitchen + dining table in this room is very narrow, very different from the reservation photo! The equipment is quite complete! There are tableware and electric kettles.
🍄 There is room for rest + reading on the first floor.
In the bathroom next to it, there is a small self-service washing machine.. I can't understand the operation instructions and stop!
🍄 It is very close to the cruise terminal, and you can walk with your luggage.

GGuest UserI have only positive things to say about the Victoria Letterario, even after the shock during the check in. Upon arrival for check in, the reception staff told me that my booking was cancelled! I showed them the communication of trip.com 3 days earlier confirming my booking, which their system has not registered. Jorge, the concierge, was very apologetic and offered me the only room available that day which I accepted, while he will get in touch with the intermediary to find out what went wrong. It appears that trip.com and similar platforms purchase the beds in great numbers from a company hotelbeds.com- I went to my room and I came down with my iPad and I and Jorge got in touch with Trip.com via my account. Trip.com replied immediately, confirming my booking and promising that they will get in touch with hotelbeds.com. As it was already 7pm, Trip.com did no manage to get through the staff at hotelbeds. Trip.com advice that if hotelbeds.com did no reply or confirm the booking then I'll have to pay and Trip.com will refund me right away. I was happy with that. I stayed the 2 nights in the hotel, and only the morning of the day I checked out the hotel Victoria Letterario received finally the confirmation of the booking from hotelbeds. Trip.com was every effective in dealing with the issue and I'll use them again and Jorge, at the Victoria Letteriario dealt with the issue very professionally all they way through, so did the manager of the hotel too.
Trieste is a small city, and you can walk from the hotel to the major landmarks in 20 minutes. I loved the decoration of the rooms, the bathroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The TV channels were all in Italian but I don't care much about the telly when I travel. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast, it has everything that a good hotel breakfast should have and more, namely its attentive staff. A five stars stay!!!

GGuest UserWe got to the hotel at 10 pm and we got our room like at 11. The air conditioner wasn't working. We asked the hotel people to turn it on, but they said we don't need it.
We went to the room and it was hot, they turned the ac but it wasn't working. A male receptionist was really nice and helped us. He brought us a fun.
I would like fron TRIP more than 5 coins. We just can sleep from 1 to 8 and we paid 168 plus taxes.

GGuest UserFrequent weekend awayer's we loved everything at this boutique style hotel. The staff and front desk were aware of our needs before we were. The vehicle valet parking truly convenient as parking in Trieste can be daunting if you don't know your way around. We loved breakfast and it was beautifully presented and cooked to order. We could have sat eating all day! The room was fitted with an amazingly comfy bed and pillows and the decor delights the senses. We will certainly return to this gem.

GGuest UserIt's a nice place, very good location, and the staff is very kind and helpful. But this place is not a hostel. It doesn't have a kitchen and there's no common room where normally it's possible to meet and socialize with other travellers. You can stay in the bar that's downstairs, but definitely you don't feel like being in a hostel. The dorm is okay and the beds are comfortable, so it was not bad overall.

LLori C.A safe, 3-star hotel in a great location that's excellent for solo travelers. It's located near the cruise ship terminal (18 minute walk) and train station. There are restaurants, shopping, a 24-hour laundromat, post office, and grocery store nearby. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I was able to check in early; they also offer a luggage storage room. I received excellent travel advice...I was able to plan and execute a day trip on a water taxi to Muggia, Italy on my arrival day then went to Slovenia the following day. They also booked an early morning (0430 am) airport taxi for me as well. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and was constantly replenished but not a big area, again great for solos. My room on the 5th floor was a little outdated but clean and comfortable. The front desk is not open 24-hours. I would definitely stay here again.
