"Review: Remm Roppongi (レム六本木) Our stay at Remm Roppongi was very enjoyable and a great base for exploring Tokyo. The hotel’s location is absolutely one of its biggest strengths — it’s just steps from Roppongi Station, surrounded by restaurants, shops, and nightlife, and in a vibrant part of the city that’s easy to explore on foot or by subway. The rooms are clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with free Wi-Fi and comfort in mind. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, as is common in Tokyo, clever layout and features like a massage chair made the space very comfortable for relaxing after long days of sightseeing. One of the memorable parts of our stay was the night view — higher-floor rooms offer beautiful city and Tokyo Tower views, which was a highlight of the experience. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help with requests, and check-in/out was smooth. Guest reviews consistently praise how attentive and polite the team is. Breakfast (optional buffet) has a nice variety and was delicious — a great way to start the day before heading out. On the flip side, there’s no bathtub in most rooms, so if you really want a bath it might not be ideal, and the hotel doesn’t have extensive facilities like a spa or gym — but for a city stay where the focus is exploring Tokyo, it’s perfect. Overall, Remm Roppongi offers excellent comfort, great convenience, and a high-quality experience for a business or leisure trip in Tokyo, especially if you value location and a modern, comfortable room to return to each evening."

"Best choice I would say if you're gonna stay near Rippongi area , then this hotel would be perfect choice among others near the area. hotel has multiple building , staffs are , as usual you can expect from Japanese people, very kind and responsive .. breakfast menu is ok but too be honest , the space is too small comparing to the size of the hotel .. guess they need to expand or make one more space for breakfast .. room is not spacious but good enough to sleep unless you are over 190 cm tall .. so I have enjoyed my stays over there"

"Location: Situated in the upscale Azabu-juban neighborhood, it's a pleasant five to six-minute walk from the subway station. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and you can even take a stroll to Roppongi and Tokyo Tower, passing many embassies along the way. Room: The room isn't huge but features a balcony, bathtub, shower, washing machine, refrigerator, microwave oven, and all the necessary cookware and dishes. It's incredibly convenient to wash clothes before heading out and return to them dry and wrinkle-free. This was a huge plus. The bedside charging outlets are plentiful, and the Bluetooth speaker even offers wireless charging. The TV has options like YouTube and Netflix. Service: The front desk staff speak excellent English and are very efficient. Registered members receive a complimentary breakfast set, which tastes great. If you opt out of daily housekeeping, you can get a 500 JPY voucher to use at the convenience store. However, you can still request fresh towels, trash bag replacement, and water refills. Cons: While most rooms offer a view of Tokyo Tower, the fresh air vent is located right above the bed, making it extremely noisy. Light sleepers will find this very disruptive."

"I had a very comfortable stay at APA Hotel Roppongi-Ekimae. The brand always feels like a safe bet, and this visit lived up to expectations. The room was small, which is typical in Tokyo, but it was spotless and well designed to make good use of the space. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were well stocked, and everything felt cared for. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the station, which makes getting around the city easy. There are plenty of food options and convenience stores nearby, so you never feel stuck for choices. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant stay, exactly what you’d hope for from an APA Hotel."

"This was my second stay here, and this time I booked a king-sized bed room. It seems to be an unrenovated room, quite small, but very clean and tidy. I could barely fit my 28-inch suitcase open in the middle of the room. They cleaned the trash and refilled the mineral water daily, which was a plus! Also, you can now get free Kose Sekkisei skincare samples in the lobby, including cleansing oil, face wash, toner, and lotion, which were pretty good. I'd definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip."

"I had a really satisfying stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo Roppongi, and honestly, the location alone makes it a winner. It’s just a short walk from the station, which made getting around Tokyo super easy and stress-free. What I loved most is how convenient everything is. You’re right in the heart of Roppongi, so nightlife is literally at your doorstep. Popular spots like Mezzo Tokyo, V2 Tokyo, and R3 Club Lounge are all nearby—perfect if you want to go out without worrying about long commutes back. There’s also a convenience store just about 3 minutes away, which came in handy for quick snacks, drinks, or anything I forgot to bring. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. It’s not overly fancy, but it definitely delivers where it matters—comfort, cleanliness, and unbeatable location. Overall, I was really satisfied and would absolutely stay here again, especially if I want a place that’s convenient, accessible, and right in the middle of the action."

"I had a comfortable and safe stay all week! I'd definitely want to stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Tokyo for an extended period. It's also conveniently located near a subway station, making it easy to get to Ginza with just a short walk. It was a bit small for opening two large suitcases, but it was still great!"

"This hotel is a five-minute walk from Aoyama-itchome Station. The front desk staff are very friendly and offer Chinese language service. They even gave us complimentary breakfast, which was delicious! I highly recommend trying the mackerel and natto. The room size was decent; I could easily open my 28-inch suitcase. Toiletries like toothbrushes and toothpaste are available for self-service on the first floor. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time."

"When I booked this hotel, I mainly saw that the rooms were spacious. Although a bit old, they were clean and had everything I needed. The location is great, near Tokyo Tower, Shiba Park, and right next to Zojoji Temple. The hotel also offers an airport shuttle service, which is very convenient. There's Oedo Station right outside the hotel, and Daimon Station is just two blocks away, both very accessible. On the basement level, there's a Lawson convenience store, making it easy to withdraw cash, exchange money, or top up. It's an American-style hotel with excellent service, definitely worth recommending. I stayed at the Tokyo Prince Hotel for 3 nights this time and had a great experience. I'll definitely come back in the future."

SshzhkazhI was very satisfied and stayed here again on my trip to Tokyo. The breakfast was delicious, the transportation was very convenient, the staff service was excellent, and I slept comfortably. Suidobashi Station is right outside, and Tokyo Dome is behind it, which is great for shopping. It's really convenient to go anywhere from here. I highly recommend staying here when you come to Tokyo.

GGuest User• located at the furthest exit from the Ikebukuro train station. have to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the Yamanote line. the surrounding is also filled with a lot of sus shops, with girls standing around at night holding papers and shouting at men. if you’re a female they won’t bother you but if you’re a guy stay safe.  • at night can hear some shouting from the street as well.  • good; have Refa hair dryer, hair wash etc. there’s also a laundry machine, microwave, etc. which was really nice. • space wise, I think that it is very spacious especially for a solo traveller with only one luggage but if you have two, there might not be enough space for you to open your luggage.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful 4-night stay here during my trip to Japan. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. For the price, it offers excellent value. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, making it a great way to start each day. The room size is what you would typically expect in Japan—compact but well-designed and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the hotel provided all the essential amenities. Fresh towels were replaced daily, along with two complimentary bottles of water. One thoughtful touch I really appreciated was the housekeeping service. Even when we put up the ”Do Not Disturb” sign, they fully respected our privacy and never entered the room. Instead, they hung fresh towels and bottled water on our door every day. The hotel also displayed the daily weather forecast at the reception, which was very helpful when planning our itinerary. On the day we checked out, it was raining. The receptionist patiently showed us how to get to the Skyliner through the underground station so we could avoid walking in the rain. Their kindness and excellent service truly left a lasting impression. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, service, and value for money. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Japan. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThough small, this hotel has everything you need. Its Ginza location is incredibly convenient, perfect for shopping or quickly getting to Narita Airport via the expressway. What truly impressed me is how many features are packed into such a compact space. They have a coin-operated laundry and a large public bath. The room, which I'd estimate at about 20 square meters, even managed to fit bunk beds (1.2m/1.5m), making it very family-friendly. A minor point is that since the hotel is directly above the subway, you occasionally feel vibrations as trains pass. This led to a funny moment when an actual earthquake hit at night, and I initially thought it was just another train going by!

GGuest UserI always have a soft spot for hotels with hot springs, especially when they have an outdoor section. It's perfect for when you want a quick dip without feeling cooped up if you stay longer. The room size was pretty standard, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a separate hallway leading into the room, which is a nice touch compared to other business hotels. To be honest, the location is just okay. It's a bit of a walk from the station (about 7-8 minutes, mainly because you have to cross the street right outside the subway entrance), so it's not exactly right by the station. It is, however, right in front of an elevated road, but the windows do a decent job with soundproofing. The biggest drawback with this type of hotel is that there's only one elevator, which means you can end up waiting for quite a while.

GGuest Useremployees and amazing breakfast. They had many vegetables + yogurt + all kind of meats (I really liked the beef) - really worth it for 2100 yen per person. My only complaint is that breakfast ends quite early at 9:30. It is very close to 2 metro lines (green and orange) so you can easily reach any place in Tokyo. There is a non-stop 7/11 at the -1 floor (you can take the elevator and exit through the shop). It has a very easy to use and good exchange rate ATM. The gym is like the typical hotel gym. Very small and with few dumbbells.

AAnonymous UserComfortable one-night stay at Shinjuku Granbell Hotel — great location and clean, modern rooms. One useful tip for anyone driving: there’s parking available nearby that you can either reserve in advance for around ¥2,000 per night, or just drive in without a reservation and pay by the hour (rates around ¥1,700 for 8 hours at the lot near the hotel). Made it really convenient for our road trip stop before heading north. Would recommend for travelers exploring Shinjuku by car.

CCarey LoyCenturion Hotel Ueno was a complete disappointment, falling short of basic hospitality standards. The deception started right at check-in: the room was explicitly advertised and booked as a ”Casual Double Bed,” but what we actually received was a cramped single bed. This blatant misrepresentation immediately compromised the comfort of our stay. The lack of care extended into the bathroom, which was a major letdown. The sink and shower area were marred by very bad, visible marks that made the entire space feel neglected and unhygienic. For a hotel that positions itself in a convenient location like Ueno, the absolute disregard for accurate room descriptions and rigorous housekeeping is unacceptable.

GGuest UserI liked this place. A pretty standard classic capsule hotel: sizeable capsule with a console, daily turnover service, large shower and onsen room with an attached steam room. Service was good: they have an army of twinks working there after hours, it was like being checked in by BTS. All issues I had with my capsule (broken lightbulb) were addressed quickly and cheerfully. Sometimes it kinda seemed like they were laughing at a few of the foreign guests, but you know what, fair. This place is kinda rules heavy, with lots of notices posted around the property. There is no eating or drinking in the capsules, and instead you have to go to this common area that feels a bit like a hospice for abandoned uncles. Vending machines, manga library, smoking cubicles, that sorta thing. Clean and tidy though, equal numbers of dudes using it for remote working and day drinking (I have a feeling that some ppl live in this place). They have the usual elaborate system of lockers and keys, but they will store your luggage for you while you are out. No need to check out in the day. Overall a chill experience. While I was staying there though some dude did have a mini breakdown about what he saw as it's shortcomings, so I just wanted to comment on that. According to him the place was disgusting. He was especially perturbed by the housekeeping service and the showers. His claim was the the toilets were dirty and that it was unacceptable to fold bedsheets on the floor. Mind you, he was having this rant at 10:30 - checkout is at 10:00, meaning that a whole stampede of airport-bound weebs had just taken spicy ramen fuelled power dumps so they could get out of there on time. Most of the day the facilities were pretty spotless in my opinion. In regards to folding the bedsheets on the floor, I dunno what in the Disney princess he was expecting, but there really isn't anywhere else to do it. I think it's unreasonable to expect little doves to come fly your linens into your capsule tbh. The capsules are literally on... the floor! What do you want? His overall complaint that the space was generally messy was a lot more valid. At this point I had a suspicion that they kind of segregated foreigners from Japanese customers. It's true, that the foreign floor was a bit of a tip - luggage thrown around, empty bottles everywhere, garbage. I went up to the Japanese floors to snoop around a bit. Spotless. (Pictures of both included for comparison) In this case I think the call is coming from inside the capsule, not really fair to hold the staff accountable to your own messy manners. His final gripe was about the showers - specifically the lack of private cubicles. Private cubicles were not advertised anywhere and Japanese onsens are pretty standardly communal spaces, so again I dunno what he wanted. Maybe a shower, with a curtain? Maybe a shower with a door? Maybe a shower with a psychic forcefield that would make his ex girlfriends forget his underwhelming junk and prevent his father from behind disappointed in him? I'm not sure. But I guess the dozen shower stations with soap, shampoo, and face wash weren't cutting it. In fact a lot of the Western guests seemed pretty pranged out by the shower situation, waiting until like two am to wash up and then scurrying around the baths with a hand towel infront of their package like a little purse. If you regret going bald, that's on you. Kinda silly, but if you are bashful maybe this also isn't the hotel for you. Unreasonable though to blame the establishment for you own shame. Anyway, that's all to say the worst part of my stay was for sure the ranting and raving from an unshowered backpacker while I was trying to have a lie in. Otherwise a pretty decent stay.

I was also very pleased that they assigned me a good bed upon check-in. The only minor drawback was that the lockers weren't on the same floor, unlike at the Ningyocho branch, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything else was satisfactory.
