"We had a great time staying here! We had a traditional Korean room with just the futons and no bed. The floor was nicely heated and with the window open for the cool breeze, it really made it comfortable. We were so close to everything and could get anywhere we needed to easily. The staff were very friendly! I’ll definitely stay here again if given the chance!"
"Stayed with friends on a 3D2N trip.
Location was generally good, close by to main shopping area, easy to get on buses and/or to call for uber.
We really loved the breakfast that was included as well as free noodles being provided (cooked in a bowl). Water, coffee and teas was provided throughout the day (pantry and a separate cafe that was right beside the main entrance). There was even washer/dryer, laundry pods to purchase from them also available however we can’t comment much because we didn’t use them.
Service was a hit/miss. Was greeted enthusiastically by an older gentleman, explained everything well and was very willing to share nearby eats and things to do. However, while I tried to use delivery app (that they advertised in the room, even for international travellers), the young man was not very proactive to solve our problem (unable to input Singapore number). However overall their service I will say is still very polite.
Room is generally clean. However as my legs are more sensitive to bedding’s fabrics, I could feel “things” on my legs that was in contact with the beddings. That being said, we didn’t experience any skin reaction or bites.
To add on, they had self service luggage locker outside of their entrance where we stored our luggage after checking out. However, to note that there is limited number of locker so would advise to store earlier in case it’s fully used.
Would definitely come back here next time!"
"Gyeongju Silla Boutique Hotel
The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Gyeongju.
And the breakfast is delicious too! I had it all three days of my stay and never got tired of it; I really enjoyed every meal.
The amenities are fantastic. I made good use of the massage chair. My child enjoyed the play facilities, spending time in the kids' cafe and playing board games. It felt like a really wholesome family time, which was lovely.
The landscaping is beautiful. Plus, there's a Daiso and an SPAO right next to the hotel, which was super convenient for grabbing anything we needed or even buying clothes when I ran out of outfits.
It's truly an optimal location! Oh, and there's a convenience store and a coffee shop too – they really have everything.
I'd love to stay here again next time!"
"The room facilities are new, clean, and there's no unpleasant smell; the toilet is very comfortable. It's just a few minutes' walk to the intercity bus station, express bus terminal, and regular bus stops. You can walk to the commercial area and city attractions in about 20 minutes. There are many restaurants nearby, and the Central Market is also close, which is very convenient. The breakfast is also fantastic, with a wide variety of dishes and great taste, like Korean stir-fried pork, sweet rice punch, and rice that's fresher and more delicious than what you'd find in outside restaurants. The only minor downsides are that there's no shower curtain for the bathtub, so water tends to splash onto the floor, and rooms facing the main road on the opposite side of the entrance can be noisy. It's not very quiet if you open the window for ventilation."
"This hotel has essential facilities like a convenience store and a cafe, making it great for relaxing after a trip. Its location is also excellent, with Hwanglidan-gil and Cheonmachong Tomb within walking distance. Most surprisingly, the hotel was incredibly clean. From now on, whenever I visit Gyeongju, Shilla Legacy will be my go-to accommodation without a second thought."
"The location is great! It's very convenient to get here from Busan Haeundae by intercity bus, taking just over an hour, and then it's a short walk to the hotel after getting off. The hotel is located near the intercity bus terminal, with many bus routes available. You can take a direct bus to Daereungwon Tomb Complex and Hwanglidan-gil Road, or walk there in about twenty minutes.
My favorite part is having a McDonald's and a Twosome Place coffee shop right next door, which is super convenient for breakfast.
The hotel room is very spacious, and the bathroom is incredibly huge. The shower has great water pressure. The soundproofing in the room could be a bit better, and the ventilation isn't perfect, so you might need to open a window. Other than that, everything else is good, it's clean, and offers excellent value for money."
"The hotel was incredible. We thought the room was perfect, the breakfast was lovely and the location was great. We had no issues finding the place, there are some small stairs in the beginning but we luckily got a room on the first floor. The room was so nice, the bed was so comfortable and the room was so nice and cozy.
The staff was so polite and helpful, they also were nice enough to claim our baggage on the day of our check out."
"Good experience of staying in a hanok, location was a 20 minute walk to the walking street (public transport not as convenient, maybe more suitable for groups who rented a car)
Breakfast provided was self service, e.g. make your own eggs/instant ramen. Apples were provided though not the freshest. First come first serve - no more milk if you arrive late (though could be limited communication skills too)
We were told off for staying in the common area after checking out even though it was raining."
"Excellent hotel! They offer luggage storage before check-in, bathrobes, and an air conditioner that you can adjust to your liking (those who have stayed in rooms with centralized heating will understand). Consumables are also provided; everything was great! I would definitely stay again."
"The view is very nice and good because it is easy to reach because it is Hwangridan-gil! Breakfast is also provided, allowing me to spend a leisurely morning :) Like the whole Huangni Tuan Road, the space is a bit small, there is no mirror, no toothbrush and toothpaste, but because of environmental problems, there is no disposable toothbrush, so it is best to refer to them! I will come again next time I have a chance to come to Gyeongju!"

Outstanding
GGuest UserI had such a wonderful stay at this hanok-style hotel that I’m already dreaming of coming back. From the moment I arrived, everything felt calm, welcoming and thoughtfully prepared. The traditional architecture, the soft lights in the courtyard at night and the view over the tiled rooftops created a very special atmosphere that you just don’t get in a “normal” hotel.
My room was cozy, bright and spotlessly clean. I especially loved the little wooden platform by the window with the cushions – it became my favorite spot to sit with a book, drink a coffee and look out over the rooftops and mountains. Waking up to that view in the morning and seeing the same roofs softly lit at night made my stay feel almost magical.
The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. You can feel that they really care about their guests and about sharing Korean culture. The small details, like the beautiful traditional bookmark as a gift, made me feel genuinely appreciated and added a personal touch I will not forget.
Overall, this stay was one of the highlights of my trip. If you are looking for a place that combines comfort, authenticity and a peaceful atmosphere in the middle of a hanok neighborhood, I can only highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely love to stay here again.
VvaughnhuiBeautiful hanok and a simple 3-mins walk from main road where the taxi will drop you off to the actual hotel. Host was very helpful, allowed us to check in earlier at 1pm and helped us to check timing and called a restaurant to book for our dinner. Also, free breakfast was provided although timing is fixed at 8.30am. Overall, a very pleasant stay and definitely recommended for anyone who wants an authentic experience!
GGuest UserWe had the most incredible experience staying at this beautiful hanok in Gyeongju!! It exceeded every expectation and then some. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and truly special. First of all, the location is unbeatable! It’s perfectly situated right by the market street, making it so easy to explore local food and culture, while also being within walking distance (or a short ride) to all the main attractions. Even better, it’s incredibly convenient for transport, just a short distance from both the express bus terminal (from Seoul) and the intercity bus terminal (onward to Busan), which made our travel stress-free.
The hanok itself was simply stunning! Our room was surprisingly spacious, with gorgeous traditional design details and beautiful views from the windows that really made the stay feel serene and authentic. It struck the perfect balance between traditional charm and comfort.
Speaking of comfort, the bed was fantastic, which was especially important to us since I’m 6 months pregnant. We were a bit nervous about sleeping arrangements beforehand, but it turned out to be incredibly comfortable, and we slept so well every night. The host was also incredibly thoughtful and gave extra yo (bedding) and an additional pillow, which was so sweet.
What truly made this stay unforgettable, though, was the host’s kindness!! She was so warm and attentive throughout our visit. She kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated after travel, and each morning she brought us a delicious homemade breakfast, such a lovely and personal touch that made us feel completely taken care of.
Everything about this stay felt genuine, peaceful, and full of heart. We left feeling rested, happy, and so grateful we chose this place. We genuinely couldn’t recommend it more highly. If you’re visiting Gyeongju, this is the place to stay!
GGemmatravelLoved it here! Would highly recommend. The rooms and beds are clean, dark and quiet. Great to be able to do laundry here too. The shared areas are kept very clean throughout the day. A decent breakfast of eggs / toast and juice. However the true gem is the owner - she is delightful, kind and welcoming.
Note - on arrival you need to call a Korean number for access which is tricky if have a foreign phone (perhaps message ahead with arrival time)
TtoeiiyoiiThe accommodation was great. It was clean and looked new. The lobby was decorated very cutely; I loved it.
Inside the room, the bed was a mattress type, but it was comfortable. However, the floor heater seemed a bit too hot.
The bathroom had separate wet and dry zones, which was very good.
BBen®Super clean and spacious new villa in Hanok style.
It's a bit out of town, but main attractions easily accessible with a car.
Check-in was a bit difficult as we had no Korean number and communication was only possible in Korean. In the end a friendly worker helped us by calling the owner. Thanks again for his help.
MMikEroWaveLocation was good. Close to central bus station, the tombs, 7 eleven next door. Stored luggage there before and after our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful..
No elevator but has a dumb waiter for luggage. 10,000 for laundry.
Breakfast was just toast butter and jam. One morning there wasn't any toast and I couldn’t find staff to refill.
For me the location was the most important thing. So I was happy.
GGuest UserTraveling with kids, this place is much cleaner after the renovation compared to when it was Sonobel. The swimming facilities were good, but there wasn't much for kids to do, so it was a bit hard to spend the whole day there (no slides or play structures). It seems good for toddlers, couples, or families who just want to play for a short time. The artificial rock was incredibly slippery; I saw two people fall hard. The tiled floor was also very slippery even with aqua shoes on. Barefoot was actually less slippery. They really need to pay attention to safety. The water was shallow but wide and varied, so it was fine for a day of fun. The accommodations are more luxurious than before. Breakfast was just okay. The staff were friendly.
GGuest UserBeautiful chalet-style place for staying! The bed is very comfortable. The room is clean and organised. A few chairs and a table to do work or eat. Very spacious area for watching tv. There’s a bbq pit outside each unit. The host brought fresh towels for my second night, thank you! I love the beautiful decoration and swimming pool downstairs, even though it’s cold at night. It has a charming atmosphere, with an outdoor screen, swings and nice music. Sound insulation is ok, although you can hear the frogs croak outside from the bathroom.
The place is about 20 mins’ walk from the bus stop with restaurants, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Theres a emart24 about 10 minutes away. There’s a restaurant next door that sells fried chicken till 11pm. It’s a must-try! Host and his wife are extremely helpful people. Thank you for your warm hospitality!
Highly recommended for people who want privacy and lots of space to hang out.
GGuest UserExcellent Stay – Highly Recommended!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I truly appreciated the warm hospitality.
The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities one could ask for. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job keeping everything clean and fresh throughout my stay. The view from my room was breathtaking, adding to the overall experience.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s facilities. The pool area was well-maintained and perfect for relaxation, while the fitness center had everything needed for a good workout. The on-site restaurant served delicious food with a great variety of options, and the breakfast buffet was simply outstanding – fresh, diverse, and of high quality.
The location of the hotel was also a huge plus. It was conveniently situated near major attractions, shops, and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being in a central location, the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful, providing a perfect balance between accessibility and relaxation.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure guests had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made my stay truly memorable.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit! Thank you to the entire team for making my trip so special.
