"Gave it 10/10, no sponsorship involved. I've stayed at many places in the Khao Lak area, but this one is by far the best. It's an excellent hotel, very private, lush, and peaceful – perfect for a relaxing getaway. The food is delicious. The room was great, the AC was cold, the water pressure was strong, and it was fully equipped with amenities like a kettle and a capsule coffee machine. The breakfast was good, tasty, and made with quality ingredients. Dinner was also good, with fresh seafood and live music on some evenings. The beach is good for swimming. On the day we went diving at Surin Island, the hotel prepared a snack box for our breakfast. There's a golf cart service for transport within the hotel. The hotel is not too small and not too large. It's conveniently located right on the main road, not tucked away down a deep soi like many other places. There are several restaurants nearby."

"Not sure how hotels get their rating but I would say Outrigger is more 4 star than 5. The bathroom really lets the room down with the blind required on the shower, the positioning of the toilet and the quality of the actual shower. This hotel is mainly families so just be aware if you are not particularly wanting to be surrounded by children and there are a few running round at 3am in their rooms (which if you are below them may wake you up.) A very nice hotel but not a lot of facilities or choice, nowhere to really walk to and cabs needed to Khao Lak and Bang Niam…."

"The room is very spacious! The bed and pillows are soft, and the blankets and towels are clean. The morning ambiance is fantastic, the air conditioning is cold, and the water pressure is strong. I'll definitely be staying here again in the future!"

"Really nice stay thank you. It's a perfect place for families with lots of activities but there's also a quieter adult zone which is ensures a calmer and more luxurious stay. Close to the beach , lots of pools and restaurants on site and as usual the staff are very good. The family part of the hotel is showing its age a bit, but I think that's reflected in the price. The food at the sky bar is excellent by the way."

"This is our third year in a row choosing this hotel. It has a large, green area, plenty of activities for both kids and adults, and the sea and beach are perfect. Our family room was spacious, with comfortable beds and pillows. The toiletries were good. Robes, an iron, beach slippers, and regular slippers were all provided. There's also a spa at the hotel. The price is quite reasonable for a hotel. Near the hotel, there's a beachside cafe and a massage parlor that's not expensive, similar to prices elsewhere. Despite the hotel being fully booked, there were always sun loungers available both by the sea and the pool, and plenty of space for breakfast in the dining area. This is our family's favorite hotel, and we'll definitely be back!"

"I felt a sense of tranquility the moment I stepped in. The hotel is beautiful, with private villas that offer a lot of privacy. The rooms are spacious with plenty of usable area and are well-proportioned and fragrant. The bed is soft, and the pillows are incredibly comfortable – I slept soundly. As for breakfast, there's a wide variety of choices, and most guests are foreigners. There are several swimming pools right by the beach. In the evening, you absolutely must not miss the sunset – it's truly stunning! The sky turns orange, and the photos turn out beautiful. The staff are helpful and always smiling. Highly recommended!"

"🌿 Mai Holiday by Mai Khao Lak (adult zone) This zone is suitable for those who really want peace and quiet. The feeling of lying down quietly, reading a book, and relaxing your mind. 📍Suitable for those with a private car, must have, no problem. 📍General service, the staff are like new employees. 📍The room is spacious, condo feel, with a bedroom, bathroom, living room, outdoor balcony, can lie down and relax. 📍Breakfast for us is quite varied, there are many to choose from, but it's a basic menu, not that wow. 📍The swimming pool is spacious, the front zone is a family zone, there is a slide, opens at 11.00 am, the back zone is not very clean, there is slippery algae, but overall it is quite wide. 📍The hotel area is quite large, every time we go somewhere, we have to call a car all the time. At night, it is quite dark, scary for us. 😱 ⛔️ The room we got had no phone signal at all. Those who bring work to do will have a hard time. The phone signal is only 1 bar, the hotel's wifi is not excellent at all, there is almost no TV signal, the screen is like a water droplet like in the past, saving electricity. The TV is almost never turned on because it can't be watched. Overall, it is an indifferent hotel, not uninspired. But there was nothing impressive 555 🥰🥰🥰"

"We (wife, myself and 8 year old son) stayed end of March 2026. The hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful and placed us in a nice room with King size bed and knew us by name. The bedroom had an ocean view + balcony and comfortable bed that fit all 3 of us. We arrived on a Tuesday when they do a weekly firedance. We really enjoyed the infinity pool at sunset where the pool met the ocean and sky. The staff was willing to drive us by golf cart between the 2 sides of the resort to be able to access the whole resort easily. The restaurant food was tasty as well but only complaint was that it was Italian food and we were in Thailand and wanted to eat Thai food. The included buffet breakfast was wonderful with an array of options for everyone and it changed a bit every day we were there (5 nights). For us, the location was not ideal, as you have to take a taxi to get to the town or restaurants and we ended up finding a couple spots we could walk to near the resort (Memories Beach next door) and a small restaurant walking distance. We were delighted to find that there is an Elephant Sanctuary next door to Aspara, walking distance and visiting the elephants was an amazing experience (1000 THB for 3 people and food/milk to feed the elephants). We did a day snorkel trip to Surin National Park and the location was accessible for the pickup to the port. I was unable to use Grab for food or ride service and when we did use taxi, we used the hotel taxi service, which was a bit more expensive than I wanted. The ride to the airport was 2,500 THB for the 3 of us and our bags arranged by hotel. It was nice knowing that the taxi would be there and it was a private ride with AC and plenty of room. There is a river that divides the two sides of the resort and it passes in front of the hotel into the ocean. We were advised not to swim in the river, so we were a bit concerned when crossing it or to swim in the water that is poured into, but we did swim in the water in front of the Memories Beach just adjacent to Aspara. I would recommend Aspara particularly to folks looking for quiet, and prefer to be away from hustle and bustle of city and who don't mind taking a Tuk Tuk to places they want to visit. Great place to go to if you don't want to leave the resort. I would have preferred to be closer to more restaurants (walking distance) but otherwise, the staff, the grounds, the breakfast, everyone was amazing. Enjoy the photos. MN"

"I couldn't prise them enough. All staffs are Professional and willing to work/help. Restaurant chef and crews cook very tasty food. Lettuce decoration on the plate are old but i ignore that Compare to other good things they done. Every staffs seems happy there.Swimming pool is clean and got slider. Massage shop next to hotel is a bad place, not go there."

"The hotel is stunning and the location is perfect, nice and quiet… The Only bad think is the sun beds on the beach they are kept occupied with towels early in the morning and they are like that for over 3 hours If you coming early at 8:30 all the sun beds are occupied with towels ( by the Russians) but nobody sits on them and you have to chose the back seats….very frustrating Management hotel they don’t do nothing about that Overall the hotel is very nice and the breakfast is the top….. I highly recommend"
