Amazing
หหมาสกู๊ดเตอร์The accommodation is very good, quiet, the view is very beautiful, the room is very spacious, very clean, the staff are lovely, everyone. I really like it here, the value is because it is next to the waterfront, so there are some insects. Which we understand the value The hotel has really cleaned very well. Another problem is the way to enter. The road is a bit difficult to drive because it is a lot of pits. But overall, we really like it here.

NNGUYEN HOANG SSRiver Kwai Resotel is a nicely located resort by the River Kwai, surrounded by a beautiful and well-maintained garden. The rooms are spread out within the garden, offering good privacy, and they are spacious and comfortable. The overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing, which suits travelers looking to disconnect and enjoy nature.
The resort facilities are decent and well maintained. Staff are very friendly and polite, although the number of staff is limited, so service can sometimes feel a bit slow during busy periods.
Breakfast is acceptable considering the remote location, but expectations should be modest. Despite being in Thailand, there are no fresh juices available, only canned options for breakfast, which is a bit disappointing.
Food at the restaurant is reasonably priced with good portion sizes. The quality is generally fine, but the flavors are quite mild and lack the depth typically expected from Thai cuisine, almost as if dishes are prepared without fish sauce.
The spa, while popular and often fully booked, is unfortunately underwhelming. The massage lacks proper technique, and even after a full hour, it feels as though little to no treatment was done.
Overall, River Kwai Resotel is a pleasant place for its location, garden setting, and friendly staff, but improvements in food quality and spa services would significantly enhance the guest experience.

GGraeme CoulterBrilliant place. Catch the boat from the pier if you are catching transport there as it cuts 30 min off a dirt road trip. The villa rooms are spacious with a comfortable bed, coffee machine, stocked fridge and a view that is fantastic especially stargazing at night catching the stars and moonlight on the river. Plenty to do especially around water including tours around the area. Nice restaurant to enjoy breakfast and dinner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next trip for an Anzac Day service at Hellfire Pass.

RRUNGROATHThe room is spacious, and the balcony is wide as well. There’s a partition between balconies, which provides good privacy.
The food is extremely overpriced. The raft activity is also quite expensive, especially considering it only lasts about 30 minutes.
One downside is the very loud air conditioner. If you get a room with a view of the dam, it can really ruin the atmosphere.
I recommend choosing a room located further inside the property.

The presence of a natural hot spring overlooking the lake, along with a clean and well-maintained private onsen in the room, adds to the appeal. However, the overall experience is limited by operational constraints. Dinner is served only until 9 PM, with no food available thereafter, which can be restrictive given the secluded location. The food quality was average and may not cater to all taste preferences. Additionally, navigating the property involves considerable uphill and downhill walking, which may be inconvenient for some guests.
Is it worth it??
Yes absolutely, if seclusion and connected to nature is your choice.

Jjaws kingFor location wise we gave a 4 star because it is almost 1hr 30mins away from Kanchanaburi, but nevertheless it is a place with history and we really enjoyed our stay. Hintok River Camp is a beautiful accommodation, it is clean and staff are friendly. It is a regret that we only stayed 1 night. No time for the river kayaking, cycling the surrounding area and trekking the Hellfire Pass trail. We had a wonderful and relaxing Thai massage though.

GGuest UserWonderful hotel. It's in a remote location, so I recommend having your own car to get there and to explore the area if that’s what you’re looking for.
The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was really helpful and accommodating to vegetarian guests like me. They even took us to a nearby coffee shop (U Terrace, which I strongly recommend) in their own car.
The food is tasty, and both breakfast and dinner are included.
There is free rafting available in an amazing location, and the swimming pool is great.

We stayed at this hotel more than 10 years ago and were a bit worried it might have lost its charm, but it turned out to be even better than before. The raft house was perfect for one night — very exotic and peaceful — but if we were to stay longer, we’d choose a room in the new building, which looks fantastic. The restaurant was great, and we especially loved the hot springs!
The hotel staff were very helpful — our friends forgot a wallet in the safe, and the team kept it safe for us and arranged a boat trip to the spa outside of working hours. Excellent hospitality and a beautiful, well-kept jungle hotel! Definitely recommend for staying.

GGuest UserThe hotel was very enjoyable, the location of the rooms is just super, took a room with view to the garden, this bungalow on several rooms, to the nearest such bungalow of meters 50-100, respiratory and restaurant are in a separate building, breakfast on the menu is very worthy, Services at the height, staff are very responsive.

GGuest UserI stayed in a raft room. It was very clean and modernly furnished, but had a few minor defects, like a broken curtain tie hook. It was also hard to find the light switch. Anyway, these are minor issues. The main problem was the balcony. It didn't have a partition between rooms, only a small pot of died bamboo. When people walked past my room through the balcony, we felt we had no privacy. We can see other people face when i sit at the balcony. Also, the balcony didn't have access to the river. Although there were steps leading down close to the river, they weren't low enough for my feet to touch the water, and there were no stairs down to the water. This might not be an important detail, but this is the thing you expect when you choose to stay on a raft. About the breakfast was in a la carte. You can choose only one plate. You can't order more. And for my porridge it was too salty, disappointing. About the staff try to do their best, but they still not professional. For example we saw the group before us they had had a welcome drink which we didn't.
