Hotels near Wat Phayap Temple, Nakhon Ratchasima

The entrance is quite a distance from the main road. It might not be convenient for backpackers, but it's more suitable for travelers with their own car. The picture isn't relevant; I can't find the correct one anymore. Service was average, as I barely saw anyone. For room access, I checked in via LINE with an admin and received an unlock code for the room.

The room was spacious, and the staff were attentive. However, parking was an issue. We arrived during the rainy season, and with a small child, it was quite a struggle. The hotel is a bit old but not dilapidated. Overall, I'd give it a 90 out of 100. I have to deduct points for the old smell from the pillows and the carpet in the room. Other than that, it was acceptable. The housekeeper was lovely and even gave balloons to our child. The chef at the restaurant was also friendly and good with kids. The food selection was a bit limited; my family mostly stuck to the egg dishes.

The room was large, but it had no functionality at all. At first, I didn’t expect much because the price was cheap, but the room turned out to be worse than I expected. There wasn’t even a hair dryer. There was no Wi-Fi information provided in the room. I had to use my phone to call the staff, then add them on LINE, and send my phone number and room number just to register and log in to the Wi-Fi. It was very inconvenient. The room was big, but that’s the only good thing about it — there was basically nothing else. Nothing at all. They provided two bottles of water, which was fine. The location is good, close to the night market. There is a 500 baht cash-only deposit. If you don’t have cash, they will keep your ID card instead. Overall, I was not impressed.

Stayed here before. Lot of the rooms have been refurbished throughout the years; we were allocated one of those refurbished rooms, but the (kingsize) bed had an old, wornout and uncomfortable mattress. Got a another room without any trouble, which was nice. We stay here mainly because of the excellent location, i.e. next to The Mall, but the hotel still has a good price/value rate.

The hotel was exceptionally clean. Free coffee for breakfast was a nice surprise. Overall it's good for budget travellers, but there were 2 issues. First of all, no hot water in the shower. It was slightly warm at most. The second thing is that there is a gap between walls and the ceiling of the toilet (like in public toilets). That means your roommate will clearly hear you poop, so maybe consider another hotel if you are in a new relationship. I also prefer to have shower gel and shampoo in big dispensers instead of small (10ml) bottles. It's better to reduce single use plastic.

Clean room, and easy access, but the wi-fi on the 5th floor was a total disaster. Basically didn't work most of the time, and when it did give a signal, it was one-bar, glacial speed - totally unable to do anything with it). If you need to do any work on your computer, this is not the hotel to stay at. Also, the shower head in the bathroom was very low, hard for a six foot foreigner to have a good shower. The breakfast was your standard Thai breakfast, with boiled rice soup and fried rice, and fried eggs, etc. - perfectly adequate but nothing to write home about. The best part is the location, right across the street from a lovely park, which is actually operated by the Thai Army - with bike lanes, walking areas, etc. and very clean. and a huge lake.

Decent hotel for the price. Rooms are clean and functional, though amenities are fairly basic. B2 Korat Hotel is a practical choice for travelers who prioritize affordability and convenience over luxury. The check-in process is smooth, and the staff are generally polite and helpful. While the facilities are minimal, everything essential is provided for a comfortable short stay. Its location allows easy access to nearby attractions and local dining options. Overall, it’s a reliable option for business trips or quick visits to Korat without stretching your budget too much.

Everything was good – the furniture, the view, the room. However, I wish the room smelled better; it had a musty odor. Plus, I don't think it was cleaned thoroughly because there was a lot of dust around. The first thing I saw when I entered was a cockroach, but the staff were very quick to fix it and moved me to another room. Unfortunately, that room had the same musty smell, and I'm not sure why. The smell made it very difficult to sleep; if I hadn't been so tired from work, I wouldn't have been able to sleep at all.

This time, my friends and I took a road trip to the north, and on our way back, we stopped in Nakhon Ratchasima before heading to Pattaya! We arrived at Central Plaza earlier than planned this morning for lunch, then headed straight back to Pattaya. Sometimes the navigation on the rural roads was a bit off, causing a delay of over half an hour, so it took us almost six hours to reach the apartment. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the front desk staff recognized us from previous stays... We paid a 300 baht deposit, and toiletries were not provided. There weren't many cars in the parking lot and not many guests staying, so it was quiet. I'd probably stay there again if I had the chance!

Price of room same on trip vs walk in. The room wasn't cleaned well. Floor felt greasy and there was a lot of random hair lying around. Bed was comfy especially given the price of the room. However cleanliness is questionable. Fyi the fridge shuts off when you remove the keycard from the room. My ice and desserts melted while we were away for the day.
