"Well for a couple the bed is quite small , we were feeling that we are slightly sliding on the sights all the time. I hope the internet being fixed already but i had difficult time to work online because wifi were only reaching to the hallway in the room and bathroom. Staff was not so welcoming seem just doing their job check in check out."
"The hotel is quite new, and the bed is very comfortable. It offers excellent value for money. The room was clean, and the staff were very good and welcoming. Breakfast was also good, served on the -1 floor. The sauna is on the -2 floor. If you need parking, please park your car at the hotel entrance and go to the front desk; someone will help you park. When you need your car, please inform the front desk. The sauna isn't always open, so if you want to use it, please notify the front desk in advance so they can prepare it for you. It's a short drive to the beach from here, and there are restaurants nearby."
"The hotel was clean, and we really liked it. We had no issues with the staff, though the Wi-Fi in our room was a bit spotty, but I guess that was just our particular room. It wasn't a big deal for us.
The location is good for Izmir, but we didn't like the city itself; it was dirty and disorganized.
However, if you have to visit, this is a good hotel.
A tip for those looking to relax: Çeşme is an hour's drive away by car, and it's simply lovely – the beaches, the sea, the streets, the atmosphere – everything is wonderful."
"Beautifully refurbished, can’t fault it. Rating for location may be lower and amenities in that no bar or pool - but I didn’t pay for a bar or pool. It was excellent service and everything for what I paid for. So it is difficult to choose a 1-5 rating for the break up. I had a single room which was great - I could have done with an extra blanket (only because I’m a bit of a fussy sleeper) but I didn’t ask for one, so I can’t complain as they have given me one (so obviously wasn’t that much of an issue, I used the runner vertically on me instead).
Shower was excellent! Breakfast really great! Style was superb and the lift was regular & effective. Oh, and the air con was very effective indeed! It was all a pleasure (just very citified at night, which you should expect in a city anyway).
I did see into a family room when at the lift and I had a little nose around the corner as it was vacant - it was spacious and very impressive, with what appeared to be a larger bathroom too to accommodate. Definitely great value for money!"
"The location is excellent. Just cross the road and you can choose a restaurant along the Corniche, sit down, eat, and enjoy the sea view, especially the beautiful sunset.
The room was at the back, on the 6th floor, and it was very quiet. The bed and air conditioning were comfortable, and the bathroom floor dried quickly. I couldn't figure out how to turn off the bedside lamp; there was a strange green box around it."
"This hotel is really new and clean, and the location is fantastic, very close to the beach – just a short walk away, perfect for a stroll. The staff are all very polite and the service is incredibly welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends."
"We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt Izmir. Although we stayed for only one night, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is elegant, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The room was spacious and beautifully maintained.
The location is next to Istinye shopping mall and is also excellent for exploring the city by ferry ,metro or tram line.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!"
"The hotel was very clean, pleasant, and nice. We were satisfied with the spa facilities. The evening piano show was delightful to listen to. However, we couldn't enjoy the room's view because the windows were dirty from the outside."
"I stayed in room 303. The room was clean and tidy. However, the shower drainage wasn't working well. Also, the edges of the bed were quite sharp and posed a safety risk. My child bumped into the corner of the bed and cut their leg.
The breakfast staff were very attentive to guests, and the food quality was good. However, I preferred the coffee and hot chocolate at Marlen Hotel Denizli.
All of the staff were very friendly and approachable."

Amazing
GGuest UserThe Izmir Marriott Hotel has a great location, right on the waterfront promenade. The staff are very friendly and professional. Ada, in particular, was always ready to offer excellent service and local insights, providing great recommendations for sightseeing.
GGuest UserHas a lovely stay, the staff are very friendly and the pool area is beautiful. We had a nice meal in the restaurant also. Would recommend to others.
GGuest UserInitial thoughts were apprehensive as we walked through the fish market but as soon as we turned the corner there was no smell at all. Very handy to all shopping. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere with rooms upstairs fronting a balcony that you can sit on and watch the inner courtyard. Lovely ambient non-intrusive music during the day with a live three piece band playing in the evening. Again we did not find the music intrusive. Staff were very professional and obliging. Would definitely stay here again. An easy and flat 15 minute walk to train station and an easy flat walk to Konak pier and clock tower.Basmane train station takes you right to the airport train station in approx half an hour then it is just up the escalator and turn right for a minute or so.
GGuest UserThe room is large and clean, but the bathroom doesn't have a ventilator and smells a bit musty. It's close to the road, and the windows are very soundproof. Everything else is OK
GGuest UserThe hotel is big and very industrial. Booked a 2 bedroom grand suite. The communal areas are very big and well furnished. The master bedroom is a good size but the 2nd bedroom is very cramped for twin beds. The kitchen is well equipped but as an apartment for 4 only had crockery and glasses for 2.
The area is very grubby as it is in the heart of the car workshops.
The communal areas in the hotel are very grubby and look dirty and rundown except for the reception area.
Would not use again and in my opinion £400 for 2 nights was excessive.
That said the buffet breakfast was exceptionally good.
GGuest UserNot far from the beach, but a bit of a distance from the main attractions, unless you take the tram. Izmir is a more relaxed city than Istanbul, with fewer crowds, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll and unwinding. The locals are all very nice.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The price was reasonable and breakfast was included, so it was a good deal. However, don't expect too much from the room. The Wi-Fi was very weak and there was no daily cleaning. This hotel is good for people who want a cheap place to stay.
GGuest UserThe service was fine. The room was fine and ok for the price. It looks better in the pictures. The shower worked but the shower head fell off so I had to use the hose as a shower. The water pressure was good and the temperature control work well for a nice hot or warm shower to your preference but the bathroom was very small with a toilet next to the shower and no partition or curtain between them. Everything would get wet during a shower. The TV did not work. It was within walking distance to coffee shops and the markets at the port, but did not feel like a very safe place to walk at night due to the dimly lit alleys. I would probably not choose to stay there again but it was fine for one night in an emergency situation. The front desk at night was personable but conversation was difficult without the use of translation apps on my phone.
