"This was our second stay at this hotel. Among all the options, Galatahan stood out for its location, breakfast availability, and price. It's part of a mini-hotel association, and the staff are pleasant. Regarding the downsides, we had requested a room away from the elevator, but we were given one right next to it. In the mornings, guests waiting for the elevator would chat, and it was quite audible. However, the view compensated for everything. So, if you're an early riser, room 41 might suit you. But there were a few things that could be improved: 1) There was no shelf in the bathroom, only traces that one used to be there… it was inconvenient to place toiletries on the edge of the sink. 2) The hairdryer was on its last legs – the cap was broken, it rattled, and it overheated… I was worried it would burn my hair. 3) On our last day, it rained, and water dripped from the window, soaking my foot (which meant my last clean sock before my flight was ruined). 4) The pillow had split into two large lumps. 5) The TV remote stopped working, so we had to turn on the TV using the button on the set itself. If these minor issues don't bother you, and you're looking for an affordable place with breakfast and a good location, then go for it. Many hotels in Istanbul are in a similar condition unless you're opting for a heavy luxury suite."

"Pros: Recently renovated, conveniently located on a nice street with many restaurants nearby, and close to the famous Istiklal Street. Despite this, the street itself is quiet at night. Cons: The walls are very thin, and it gets incredibly noisy when people leave their rooms for breakfast or chat in the hallway (everything is very audible). The main issue is that the room doors have door closers, so when you exit, they slam shut with such force that it shakes the bed. My conclusion is this: if you're an early bird and wake up for breakfast, this won't bother you. However, as someone on vacation, I couldn't sleep past 9-10 AM; starting at 7:30 AM, everyone would head to breakfast, and the noise wouldn't subside until around noon. Also, the cleaning service was mediocre. During my week-long stay, the bed linens were never changed, only the towels. They didn't do any wet cleaning. Would I choose this hotel again? Probably not for myself. Would I recommend it? Possibly, but it's not a definite yes. While it's beautiful and has a great location, it's simply too noisy inside. Unfortunately, the external beauty couldn't outweigh the feeling of discomfort and the lack of peace and quiet. On a side note, the staff were wonderful!"

"The room design is quite unique and the lighting creates a nice ambiance ✨, but the facilities are noticeably old. The bathroom corners were moldy and the floor drain had accumulated grime. The bedding wasn't clean either; overall, the cleanliness wasn't up to par. However, the front desk service was excellent; they proactively helped resolve issues 👍, which was a real plus. The stay itself was just okay, but the warm human touch made up for it."

"An excellent hotel in the very center of the city, close to the Taksim and Shishkhane metro stations, and a one-minute walk from Istiklal Avenue and the red tram. We booked a room with a sea view; it's small, but has everything we needed. The only downside was that they didn't change the towels even once in four days; they came to clean and simply folded the dirty towels in the bathroom. Breakfasts are repetitive, but generally delicious; you won't go hungry."

"Newly renovated last year with an English-style decor, which was lovely. The front desk staff, especially one lady, provided excellent service and even gave us two complimentary glasses of wine. The hotel is located on a hillside, just a few minutes' walk down a small incline to Istiklal Avenue. The street is lined with charming little pubs and restaurants, giving it a real local flavor. The Turkish people were very friendly and patiently helped us with directions."

"The best advantage of this hotel is its location, next to restaurants and bars. Heart of Istanbul. However, for those who value peace and quiet, this can also be a drawback, as in the evenings there is a lot of music and noise, especially noticeable on the first floor (it may be quieter on higher levels). The hotel itself is fairly clean, well-kept, and relatively new compared to many others in Istanbul. Breakfast is definitely worth including – it’s excellent, with a wide variety of fresh options, Turkish tea and coffee, and even made-to-order omelets. Staff don’t rush you out when breakfast time ends, and they keep replenishing dishes, which is a big plus. On the downside, the reception could be friendlier, and the staff’s English level is quite limited. For example, when we requested extra bedding, room service brought us fries instead. Additionally, in September the rooms were cold, and unfortunately only the air conditioning worked – the heating did not. The restaurant downstairs, Pera 77, offers live music in the evenings. In our case, the singer was late, performed only a few songs, then took a break and never returned before we left. Food quality was mixed: the soup and cheese platter were good, but the steak was tasteless and the fries soggy. Overall, the hotel is a good option if you want a lively location with outstanding breakfasts, but be aware of noise and some service limitations."

"Let me break down my review: **Pros:** 1. The staff were excellent. They were proactive in their communication, and every time I returned, they'd actively stand up and greet me with a ”HOW ARE YOU.” 2. The front desk staff were also very helpful when I asked for directions. 3. The room was clean, the carpet showed no signs of dirt, and after cleaning, they would spray a fragrance, so there were no unpleasant odors. 4. We arrived an hour early, and they allowed us to check in after waiting just 20 minutes. **Cons:** 1. The toilet seat was broken. I was already very tired, and since we had checked in early, I didn't ask for a room change. However, it was really inconvenient because it moved around while I was using it. 2. The complimentary drinking water provided was just a small cup; other hotels usually offer bottled water. 3. The curtains were too narrow and couldn't close properly (you can see in the pictures). I even had to pull and stick them together myself, otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to sleep well (as I'm sensitive to light). 4. There's a house renovation project going on downstairs, and there was a lot of noise even at 10:30 PM. Closing the window helped a lot, but it was still loud. So, if you don't like noisy city areas, be aware ⚠️. 5. The breakfast was the simplest I've had in Turkey. As you can see in the pictures, the egg pancake was an extra charge, so I didn't order it. But it might have been really cheap, which explains it. Overall, while the price was affordable, when you're traveling, you truly realize how important comfort is once you've stayed somewhere. So, next time, I will choose a place with a better environment."

"Overall, it's pretty good. The location is excellent, right by Taksim Square, making it super convenient for getting around, and there are tons of food options nearby. Plus, they offer free luggage storage, which is a nice perk. The only thing is I couldn't get the AC to work in the room, and I'm not sure why."

"The staff were all very courteous and helpful. The hotel was thoroughly cleaned daily. The location was excellent and very central, just a few minutes' walk from the Galata Tower. What we appreciated was the security, as the hotel is next to a police station. We would definitely stay again."
