"What a wonderful place. Very peaceful out in the country. Very clean accommodation. Lovely comfortable bed and pillows. Wonderful continental breakfast, with a great selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, sourdough, flapjacks, jam, butter, ground coffee etc. if the weather is good, you can sit outside. The pub is lovely and cosy, had a meal there on one evening, had the pie which was devine. The pub is currently only serving floor on a wed through to the weekend, but there is a village a few miles down the road where there is a Tesco, Asda and takeaways. My only very small criticism is that they could do with a small light on the desk so you can do your makeup, as it's a tad dark. There is a great mirror and light in the bathroom, but nowhere to put the make up, so it was a catch 22, sit at the dressing table with all my makeup or put it in the sink in the bathroom to have good light. 😂😂😂"

"I have stayed at The Red Lion some years back. This time I was very pleased to see that the interior decoration had been updated. The room I had was very pleasantly decorated with William Morris wallpaper. The breakfast and restaurant and restaurant area had had a facelift too. Definitely an improvement from what it looked like previously. The staff members at reception were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Thank you."
