Overall, we had a wonderful experienxe. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. They let us store our luggage for two nights while hiking around Tiger Leaping Gorge. The rooftop is beautiful and spacious to hang out and smells of all the pretty flowers.

Stayed here for 3 days and had a wonderful time. All the staff here are warm and friendly. They are very helpful and really make you feel welcome. They even invited me to sit and have tea with them.

Great view with areas for beautiful photos.
Cosy little stay with friendly and nice friendly host.
Enjoyed the stay.
Just gentle reminder, to call hotel for assistance of luggage as it's in ancient town mid hill. Helpful host will arrange support.

Probably the best accommodation we had during our stay in China. Room was clean with no significant downsides. They were very helpful and patient with our luggage problem.

Tinghuatang is situated at the centre of the town and on a hilltop. You get to see the entire town from the breakfast area and a great sun rise.
Xiaofeng is the 管家 that try his best to cater to our needs..one example was we need to check out early in the morning around 620am and there's no porter around...he helped us engaged someone to carry the luggages just after 6am..He also helped us rearranged the rooms and upgraded some of the rooms so that my family stays near to each other.
One of the down side is you need to walk a distance and climb a few stairs to the 客栈. But what you get is view and closeness to the town..
There's also a tea area where you get chit chat and have tea with the staff of the 客栈

Exceptional location in Lijiang old town with a great terrace with a view. Friendly and helpful staff as well! Can highly recommend this place

Quite noisy area and the rooms are not sound proofed at all. I asked for help to book the cable car up to yulong snow mountain, they only offered expensive tickets through an agent (648 yuan). Later I found out how to buy the tickets myself by part taking in the ticket release at 8 pm every day. The staff said it was pointless and no chance of me getting any tickets and that I should by through agent. I got a ticket on my first try and then it was only 140 yuan…
I recommend staying outside of the ancient town since more convenient to go places, then just visit the ancient town
