The Risboro Hotel

Booked 2 rooms for family vacation. There was no soap or handwash in bathroom/toilet. Also no shower, only bathtub. Duvets are smelly and room carpets are extremely dirty

Room had not been cleaned, dirty towel on floor in middle of the room and the bed vallance was all stained, 1 night we were told we had to have dinner in function room singer was that loud while we eating, because of my hearing aids I had to cover my ears, artist came and told me I was rude covering my ears when an artist was singing, while we were eating I would have expected maybe quiet background music not a singer screeching, another night we didn't know what we were doing as there was artist on again, a guest told us dinner was again in the function room, couldn't put up with that again so the 4 of us went out of the hotel to eat, 1 morning they ran out of eggs, beans, so we were given 1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon and a dash of tomato juice, the manager had gone to Sainsburys and fetched eggs but we were told there wouldn't be scrambled eggs that day, why not as it is easy to make if you have eggs, unless of course they were using powdered egg, we were a party of 6, 2 of them went home a day early, we stayed. 4 of the party had been to hotel and said they had not seen it so run down, it was the first time 2 of had been so none of us will be returning

I would stay here again, excellent value for money, friendly family run hotel, good location in between the tram, town and seafront.

Poor cleanliness very dusty and got locked out on first night kept ringing the bell noone came husband had to go round the back and forced his way in staff apologised next morning,staff were friendly.

We had a great time. The staff were lovely, happy and friendly. The food was lovely and well worth the stay. The hotel is dated but it is fine and worth a stay

The hotel needs updating but that didn't matter as it had character. Staff were friendly and made the stay enjoyable. The breakfast was lovely. Wished we had booked for 2 nights. We will be back.

Good location nice friendly staff and good breakfast however rooms very outdated and poorly set out bathroom and shower was appalling bad experience with this however cheap and cheerful

First impressions isn’t great, the hotel looks very run down and stuck in the 1970s. But the staff were fantastic and extremely friendly and helpful. My room was on the first floor had no wardrobe or drawers for clothing. Room had an extra small tv and a vanity table and chair. There was only two plug sockets in the room which there located behind the bed. Also light switches were located behind pillows and during the night they would switch on. Room wasn’t cleaned the best, I found one green nail one pink toothbrush one sliver and pearl ring 50p and a £20 note. Bathroom had a few hairs on the sink and in the bath and lots of diy touch up. Room was warm and had a large window. Hotel is in a great location plus free parking and I can’t fault any of the staff they were all very chatty. I think if the hotel had a renovation it would be fantastic also I thought the bar was a bit expensive £14 for a glass of wine! Would I stay again? Yes !

The lady on reception was not welcoming, the hotel is very run down which is a shame as it is such a lovely building. The rooms are run down and felt dirty, the walls were paper thin we could hear every word of next doors normal conversation. There was no plug near the bed, no shower gel/shampoo in the shower or even soap at the sink. The shower was temperamental, it either scolded you or you were freezing. It says it is a budget hotel, it certainly didn’t feel budget at £63 a night and it certainly wasn’t worth that. Really disappointed as we were looking forward to our stay in Llandudno.
