"We had planned to stay one night, on a spur of the moment choice, on our way to Turin, but fell in love with the area, the hotel and, especially, Dana and Antonio, the managers. We made day trips throughout Tuscany, and really appreciated the recommendations that Dana made. They saved us a lot of time and gave us the chance to visit places we had not considered. Breakfast every morning was at least 3 stars, and Dana's tour along with her history lesson of the Palazzo made it a most memorable stay. I'll stay there again the next time I visit Italy."

Didn't take breakfast - nearby is the central square with a bunch of cafes and restaurants. The room is spacious, there is no hose in the shower, only the overhead shower, but by and large for an Italian hotel everything was just fine, the staff is friendly and ready to help, everything is positive. Used as a base for trips to Barolo, Alba, Seravale - very convenient."

"The location is perfect, only a short stroll to the city centre and the train station. The decor is pleasant and relaxing and the rooms are spacious enough. The website pics are exactly what you will find. The beds are comfortable and everything works! The price is great value for what the hotel offers and for it's position, there is nothing to fault. Super clean everywhere including the bathroom and the shower. The cleaners are around first thing in the morning doing their thing but they are very quiet. All I remember is sleeping really well. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby and it's one town in Italy where the price of food is very reasonable. The hotel offers parking on availability, otherwise there are plenty of public carparks in the vicinity. We used a public carpark around the corner which cost us 25Euros per night, which is the average hotel parking price anyway. The staff were very nice and very helpful and recommended some really good places to eat and get good coffee. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Europa and definitely will return next time."

"The hotel is located outside of Alessandria, so you need to travel by car to reach it. And it offers lots of parking space. It's ranked as a 4-star hotel, but feels more like a 3-star. The rooms are wide and spacious, the bathroom too. The view from the room is on the parking lot, and you can't open the window because there are too many mosquitoes in the area. We stayed at the hotel for two nights. At the first night it was full with some group of tourists, so the wi-fi internet didn't work at all, because of the overload, and the receptionist didn't offer any solution. At the second night there was a football team that occupied the hotel, and you could hear them roar all evening/night long... The breakfast was good, but the waiter in the breakfast hall didn't help or do anything for the guests that didn't speak Italian. So you had to make yourself your own cup of coffee... Also, the staff at the reception was very very very nice. BUT when I asked them if they could put something little in my parents' room (because my father had a birthday at the second day we stayed there), they agreed, and offered to put a cake. Which they did, and even added to that a bottle of champagne. It was a very nice surprise for my father, when we got back to the room at the evening. BUT they have charged us for that 50 euros (!!). Which was very UNFAIR, because in NO POINT of the conversation with them, they haven't mentioned that the cake or any kind of "a little surprise" will cost me money, or HOW MUCH money it may cost. They could have added how many items they've wanted and I would have to be obliged to pay... Which is very unfair and dishonest."

The cuisine, from breakfast to dinner, was absolutely excellent, thanks to the choice of locally sourced ingredients and the skill with which they were prepared: a delight!
