Big Spring Inn Madisonville

This motel is right off the Interstate so very convenient. It’s an older place, but has been kept up. No amenities, but has the standard things most motels have. It was clean our overnight stay was adequate.

Well this is a you get what you pay for hotel.It was reasonably clean,everything worked and was about inexpensive as you will find.

Pleasant. Fresh clean room. Heat control was easy. Water pressure good. Especially like wood floors - no carpet!!!

I meant to put 2 stars over all but it put in 4 stars. No amenities to speak of, my receipt says continental breakfast but person at desk said they haven't had breakfast for 3 years. The ceiling looked like it was going to fall at any time. Would not return to this place.

They were not very friendly charged me 25.00 more a night than I was supposed to pay and there was supposed to be breakfast included yet there was nothing.

This is our second time staying and we really enjoy the convenience the friendliness of the owners, and how they are striving to improve the building

There was a heavy damp moldy smell. Holes and stains in the towels. Beds were very uncomfortable. Tub backed up and we stood in 6 inches of water. Microwave was dirty before we used it. Fridge was not cold enough at all. When we first arrived the manager walked in front of us into the office by five feet and didn’t hold the door open for us and just let it shut in our face. No smiles from the two people running it. No “thank you for staying with us” or checking on our needs during our stay. I expected a little more courtesy and comfort. The rooms weren’t super cheap either, so I expected a little more. Will not stay there again.

Budget hotel that’s a lot better then the other big name budget hotels in Madisonville. Don’t let the fancy national brand names fool you. You are gonna pay more to stay at many of them and get a lower quality room and less service.

Front desk employee was rude. Would never recommend or book with again
