Bakhan Village Resort

The place is beautiful and staff friendly. I was hoping for peace and quiet. Got it during the day but at night they were blasting music right across from my room. The fact that I was right next to the reception and restaurant didn’t help. Room was very spacious.

Book phòng Junior Suite view Sông Đà là sai lầm khi suốt ngày phải chịu đủ tiếng ồn, từ lúc set up bàn ghế, kéo tấm sân khấu đến set up, test âm thanh bằng nhạc remix và đến hò hét karaoke vô tội vạ cho đến đêm. Nằm trong phòng đóng kín cửa vẫn như đang nằm trên sân khấu. Cơ bản là không có phòng nào ngang hạng để đổi. Ăn tối món gà xào chặt có nhiều vụn xương, canh thịt bò lá lồm mùi mỡ bò hoặc trâu nồng nặc. Nhà tắm dùng khử mùi rẻ tiền, vẫn còn tóc hay lông. Hàng khăn cũ, khô cứng. Amenity phòng suite như hạng thường, không tương xứng với giá tiền.

We almost did not go to Bakhan Village Resort, we had been in Sapa for a couple of days and had an exhausting but interesting trip to Sapa and returned on the train. My wife and I had done some research on Bakhan, and it was a 3-hour car trip to get there and another 3 hours to get back, and it seems like it's basically on its own, apart from possibly a lake boat trip, but my wife reminded me that we had paid for everything including meals, and it was also the last real adventure in Vietnam before we travel back to Australia. Our tour head agent Danny had booked us a few hours at the TK123 hotel next to Hanoi railway station, to shower and have breakfast, before being picked up by our driver and guide to go to Balkhan Village resort. Our guide Hanh and the driver met us at the TK123 hotel, and we were on our way, its a long drive but there is always something interesting to look at on the trip, Vietnam is a busy place, with people moving everywhere, on bikes, motor scooters, buses, and cars, like the rest of the world, but there is something different about the way they do it in Vietnam. At one stage we turn off the main highway onto a secondary road, and you then start to see a different set of scenery, as you start to ascend firstly hills and then a mountain, the scenery changes and you again start to see rice fields and water buffalo, wooded houses, and as the road gets narrower you feel that you must be getting close, the time on the road seemed to fly past, and we saw the entrance to the resort on the left, though a thick mist, we drove through the gates and along a long driveway towards the main reception, our room was ready for us, and it was about lunchtime, so our bags were taken to our villa, we followed and were shown where we were staying, which from first impressions we a good size set of rooms, big bed, TV, nice bathroom good shower area, settee/convertable bed, balcony overlooking a garden, comfortable, place to stay, but lunch was being served, which we were looking forward to, as we were both hungry, we went to the dining room, which is just across the path from our villa, it was a large space, with inside and outside tables available, we sat outside, when we both noticed the crisp fresh air, which we both commented on, it was refreshing, and cool. The mist was heavy but we could see a large swimming pool, we could see we were high above a large lake. Lunch was very satisfying, spring rolls, chicken, salad, and fruit. In the afternoon, our guide arranged a 2 to 3-hour trek for us and apologized that the lake cruise was not available due to the mist, both my wife and I thought about not doing the trek, but Hanh convinced us that it was a gentle walk really and that another family with small children were doing it with us. My wife and I had been on a few treks on this trip to Vietnam mainly in Sapa, but the walk-in Bakhan was very different, it was gentle and although we did go up and down a few hills it was a real pleasure to walk

Bakhan Village Resort: A Relaxing Getaway in the Heart of Nature Bakhan Village Resort is a great choice for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The resort is located just next to the primeval forest and has an infinity pool with stunning views of Lake Hoa Binh. The rooms are quite beautiful and well-appointed. The staff is friendly and attentive, always willing to help.

Extremely welcoming staff. Gorgeous views. They helped us out with getting to the resort with our bicycles. Drinks and food much better than the more expensive resort we’d stayed at previously. Great breakfast with lots of Vietnamese cuisine (and Western options) and fantastic coconut iced coffee.

I recently stayed at Bakhan Village resort with 2 friends and we absolutely loved our time there. The resort is very remote, but has everything you need, including a very strong WIFI connection. We first stayed in one of their luxury tents overlooking the lake, then moved to a villa for our last night. My favourite parts were the net chill out area off our balcony where we could lay and take in our surroundings, and the infinity pool. The food at the restaurant was really good and the staff are extremely attentive. You can also watch the sunrise over the lake on a morning. I would definitely recommend this location for a short getaway :D

We stayed one night at the Bakhan Village Resort as part of a two-week tour in Vietnam. The resort is new, very well kept, clean and in an absolutely stunning environment. The landscaping is lush and beautiful—a creek with fish runs through the property. We saw many butterflies outside our room. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the creek. The main lobby is beautiful inside with tall ceilings, nice furnishings, & local art. The staff, while most don’t speak English, is extremely attentive, sweet, and accommodating. Our stay included three meals, each of which was absolutely delicious, made fresh for our table and beautiful. Actually, we were too full from breakfast to eat our last lunch meal. We missed out, but just because we were too full. The views at this resort are gorgeous. One can see three layers of water—a pond, the infinity pool at the resort, and a very large lake way down below. There is a pool, bar, restaurant and pool bar. A local guy came to take us on a walk around the local village. He didn’t speak English, but it was no problem. It was interesting to see the local homes, yards, animals and their farm life. You should definitely visit the Bakhan Village Resort if you are in Northern Vietnam. It’s a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, which is about a 3.5 hour drive.
