Hotels near Centre for Teaching and Learning in Melaka

We stayed 5 nights in a double room. The location is great and it is cheap - 2 good points of this hotel. The room was run down as was the whole hotel. It is in need of a reno. Paint peeling, bathroom door damaged and there were leaks in the bathroom from the hose near the toilet. The toilet/shower were all in one in our room so the water from the shower went over everything. The shower was hot though so that was good. The AC was cold which was also nice. The room was quite cramped and unfortunately it doesn't match the pictures on the internet. First 2 days there was no real breakfast supplied as I think there were very few guests so they didn't bother apart from asking if we would like eggs. I had fried eggs both mornings but they were cold when served. The last 3 days they had a proper breakfast as there were more guests. It consists of toast/watermelon, rice, baked beans one morning, noodles. Have to get there when breakfast starts as I got the impression they don't refill the trays once it is gone. It is close to a mosque as well so you get your early morning wake up call - not ideal if you are a light sleeper. Grab is only 8RM to Melaka Sentral - better than a taxi which is 30RM Overall it is cheap and a great location so if you don't mind a less than flash accommodation option then it will do the job but I would not stay there again.

We stayed at the TF Riverside for a night in May. This happened to be during Ramadan. The entrance from the street has steps up to reception (there is a steepish ramp, too steep for a wheelchair unless assisted by a strong person). We were able to check in without any issues. There's a car park under the hotel but there is no direct access from the car park into the hotel. We were allocated rooms on the 3rd floor overlooking the main road rather than the riverside. The lifts were functional but a little bumpy. The hotel was refurbished about a year ago, and whilst what is there is clean and OK, it's more towards a budget set up, and the furniture looked fairly tired. However a really basic annoyance in the room was the lack of and location of power outlets. There was a power outlet just above the floor level behind the fridge, and another about 1m above the floor halfway between the bed and the window in the middle of nowhere. The kettle (provided in the room) couldn't be plugged in unless you held it in mid-air whilst boiling or moved furniture to the outlet between the bed and window, or you moved the fridge. Whilst I can understand that the cost of moving power outlets isn't a minor thing, surely this should have been sorted out when the hotel was refurbed about a year ago? And could easily be mitigated for limited expense by providing a couple of multi-outlet power bars to provide desktop power by the fridge and bedside. The bathroom was again clean but fairly basic. Oh, and the hot water was barely warmer than ambient temperature both evening - which we reported the receptionist - but the issue still persisted the next morning. We had booked two rooms, and the power and hot water issues were the same in both rooms. After checking in we left the hotel for a wander aroound the city - which is gorgeous, and easily walkable from the hotel. As we left the hotel and walked initally along the riverside we could see an Iftar buffet being set up by the hotel on their riverside dining area, and the selection of food looked to be impressive and comprehensive. We got back to the hotel having had dinner elsewhere with friends and saw the tail end of the Iftar buffet, and looked forward to our breakfast the next morning. However, we were to be disappointed. When we got down for breakfast the next monring, we were presented a menu card of five items, of which two - the nasi lemak and rice porridge congee were unavailable. We've been at hotels when low occupancy means it's uneconomic to run a full buffet, and I completely understand this - but usually in these situations you get presented a decent list of whats available and a commitment provided they have the ingredients within reason they will try their best to make something for you. Considering what we had seen the previous evening we knew the hotel could do seriously good food, and the previous reviews of the good food back this up. Once you arrive, park at 7th or 8th floor and inform the receptionist your car plate later. At the reception, Alif assisted me with the check in like a close friend. He even informed me how to navigate around Jonker Street. As for the room, it is clean and the shower water pressure is strong and hot. No insects found or seen around the room. The lift may take a while though during peak hour. The location is okay, about 15 minutes walk to Jonker Street. But what I like is that it is next to the jogging path by the river and accessible to speedmart/7 11.

They are not lying when they said unlimited breakfast buffet from 7am till 12pm. This is the most great thing about this hotel. Their view is beautiful. Like others mentioned, we can see melaka river cruise at night from the balcony. Other than that, facilities in children a bit wear out already. However we did enjoy the pool because it’s quite big. The adult pool have infinity view but slightly poor in cleanliness.

Good experience stay here, clean room, comfy bed and I got view Kg Morten. So mesmerizing with lights during the night and so warm during the day. Management put efforts to guest needs when I requested for iron & refill of shower gel in the morning. However, they took some time to respond in whatsapp. TV, kettle, hairdryer & mini fridge functioned. They also have swimming pool and mini gym for guests.

It was a great stay, Amanjiwa 99R is located by the riverside of Melaka city area. the accommodation was so lovely and comfy, spacious environment, superb cleanliness and good enough for couple. Value for money with basic amenities: small gym room, the pools with city & river views, plus a children playground.

Terrible pillow cleanliness as photo attached. Smelly & very dirty pillow. Yellow spot ( which im very sure is air liur basi stain) every where. We asked to changed 3 pillows then they give new pillow with the same stain. 2 nd time asked to change pillow again & they gave us new pillows. This time no stains. Thanks to the housekeeping guy for helping us.

Very good location. Walking distance +- 30 min to Jonker Walk, walking by the Malacca River side walkway. Avoidable traffice jammm & parking problem if we're to drive there.

The hotel was much bigger than we had anticipated. It is a really beautiful place, hidden away in the nice city of Melaka. The lobby is beautifully designed, but freezing and the whole hotel seemed drenched in some kind of perfume, which made me a bit dizzy. Our room had the weirdest smell- but I think it was intentional...as though they had made it smell like that on purpose...like mouldy hay. The room was really pretty and the little patio is a nice touch. We informed the desk that we's be checking out at 12:50. but still, the same concierge called us at 12:00, waiting impatiently for us to check out. We were also hardly ever greeted upon entering the hotel. Weird. Once everything is done, I'm sure it will be a nice place. I wish the plants were real. They are all plastic and it shows, unfortunately. The location is perfect, just around the corner from China Town and Junkers Walk. I think it's a decent place to stay for a night or two.

Room is bigger and nice view facing to the river. the room is nice just the toilet a bit smelly if the staff clean properly is better then the toilet will look good. the staff can improve for the cleaning. the staff at receptionist friendly always show your smile. we will ome back stay again at your hotel.
