We were greeted by very friendly staffs, and were given early check in as well as an upgrade to a 2 rooms apartment (originally booked as 3 single beds room).
We signed up for the member and got free parking fee but since we didnt drive, the staff was nice enough to give us a complimentary hotel break for 3 pax on one of the days during our stay.
We tried our luck to request for late check out and managed to get it as well.
The location is also great, locating within the free tram zone so its convenient and cost-friendly for us to transport to different places (including different meet up points for our day trip). Right opposite the southern crossing Station where theres alot of food options as well.

This hotel left only unpleasant memories for foreign tourists.
A day before I stayed, I was informed by a hotel app message to stay at the ibis melbourne hotel and apartments, which are linked hotels due to room conditions, without elaborating. (I was not told exactly what the room conditions were and it was a one-sided notification without asking for understanding.)
If it had been a few days before arriving in Australia, I would have asked for a refund and booked another accommodation. However, I had already been on a flight to Australia when I was informed of the move to the accommodation. I was angry after the phone call with the hotel, but there were no rooms available at the nearby hotel on the required date.
I booked a four-star hotel and moved to a three-star hotel, and of course, there was a difference in facilities. However, there was no compensation and I complained over the phone, but the hotel lied that both hotels were the same price. (I checked through several travel apps and found that the price difference between the two hotels was 30-40% based on the same date of the same room.) Also, since I am an overseas tourist, I made a reservation for a hotel in front of Southern Cross Station for convenience of transportation, but additional transportation costs were incurred as I went to ibis.
