SpringHill Suites Memphis East/Galleria

The breakfast was horrible. I thought the scrambled eggs was grits until I dipped them on my plate. The sausage was not like any pork sausage I've ever had. It may have been turkey sausage. The consistency was unfamiliar. There were no forks. I asked the clerk and she said they were out of forks. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Price was good, but room not clean. Beds not comfortable at all. Elevator broken. We stayed on first floor but I heard a guy hollering from the elevator that he was stuck inside on the first floor. Not well kept up. Nice area and good brand usually. I would avoid this property.

We were disappointed. Our initial room had a non-working toilet. The check in attendant tried hard to help. She did move our room upstairs and apologized because the elevator was not working. The rooms were clean but the hallways and stairs were not.

We had reservations for 3 rooms: 1 elderly couple with mobility issues, one single, and another couple, one of whom was a few days out from knee surgery. On arrival, we were told that only 1 1st-floor room was available. Not ideal, but ok. Then we were told that the elevator only worked going up. Well that was a big problem as stairs were not possible for 2 sets of us. So I asked if we could have a refund as they could not provide reasonable access to a room. No because I "didn't request" a first floor room. Of course, I had no way to know the elevator was out! I wasn't interested in being out the money for 3 rooms so we stayed...the clerk put us in a room near the end of the long hall. Approx. 30 rooms would have been closer to the elevator. The knee patient's room had carpet at the entrance that was frayed to the point of creating a fall risk. The toilet paper holder is so far in front of the toilet that you have to stretch hard to reach - unless you are short & can't reach at all! 1 toilet ran all night. Breakfast was "cage free eggs" - only. They were white and looked so bad that most of us refused to eat them. The ones who did eat them said they were awful. The website indicated that this is a pet-free hotel, an important detail for 1 of us. However, 1 of our rooms was full of cat hair. We saw 6 dogs going into 1 room and 3 into another. Credentials for the internet did not work for one room; one had only enough signal to get mail, nothing else. Don't stay here!

I could tell this hotel was under new management this visit. Ive stayed here the last few years when in town and never experienced any issues until this visit. From checking in, being told my reservation number wasnt working and i didnt have one there with her doing very little to even double check. To me pointing out to her i saw my name on the check in paperwork on the desk. My room very dirty, things being left from previous people and wasnt picked up/cleaned from housekeeping, TV not working, WiFi password not working. Making us carry dirty linen to front desk by hand (no bag, basket nothing to put it in) in order to get new linen and the front desk trying to grab the DIRTY linen with her hands without gloves or placing it in bags. Never had a hotel make us do that before. Just overall terrible experience, will NOT be booking here again.

I chose because of location and reviews, but my room was nasty.Mold in bathroom and the room smelled like stale cigarettes and mold. The mattress was lumpy,dirty pillowcase on one of the pillows and the tub didn't drain.

Room was not clean. Dust on everything. Toilet in bathroom is leaning. The bed was very comfortable. Could use more pillows for pull out sofa bed.

I typically seek out the Springhill Suites when traveling with my family because I know I will get an up to date, clean hotel with enough beds for all of us. This hotel was very clearly an older hotel re-dressed as a Springhill Suites. The room itself was the weirdest layout I’ve ever seen and by the time we were ready to go to bed, we pulled the sofa-bed out to find someone’s big pile of crumbs and trash. I mentioned this to the front desk person and her solution was to give me a new sheet. Skipped the breakfast the next morning because it wasn’t worth it for some cold cereal and toast. This stay was extremely disappointing.

The room was dirty with stains on walls and carpet. No bedding was available for the pull out sofa, the pool was closed, bugs in room, extremely limited breakfast with spoiled milk. We tried to stay at another hotel but couldn’t get out of this reservation. They also charged 35.00 more on my debit card then the receipt said. We will never stay at Springhill Suites again.
