Grand Hotel Vittoria

Checked ✔️ into such a tasteful hotel 🏨 . How magnificent it is! From bedding to furniture 🪑, from windows to bathroom 🚽 , from minibar to city 🏙️ view, it is an awesomely authentic Italian architecture. Took some pictures of the hotel 🏨 facade and bar. Such a classic one 1️⃣. It was built in 1908 and has undergone multiple renovations to get to this. Very blessed 🥲 to have this experience. Even the bathroom 🚽 is so aesthetic and artistic with marble floors and wooden walls. More eye opening is the painting 🖼️ known as fresco. It is indeed an art 🖼️ gallery. Italian art 🖼️ , you have made me totally 👍 speechless 😶. I’m completely stunned 😳 by your grandeur.

As you can see from the photos, the exterior of the building and public areas are grand and delightful. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. But for those who want more of the nitty-gritty read on: Room: We were in room 124, which is a standard room near the elevator. Like most European hotels, the room is considerably small. I appreciated the large armoire, night stands, and drawers so that if one wanted, personal items can be stowed out of sight. I found the bed to be very firm, but have a PranaSleep mattress at home, which is super comfy. I read that the rooms were "recently" renovated, but ours could have definitely used a touch-up. There was a mark that appeared to have been where someone killed (and smudged) a bug on the wall, and several spots where the walls were scuffed and chipped. Cleanliness: The housekeeping did a sufficient job of cleaning the room, and the dining areas were immaculate. What struck me as odd was the beautiful red carpet on the grand staircase was in need of a vacuum during our entire stay. Minute detail, for sure, but one that struck me as odd. Amenities: Here's where I think they could improve. There is not an iron in each room, however, they will bring one upon request. In my case they asked for it back 24 hours later, which was problematic for me, as all of our clothes needed ironing. I requested an iron four more times before I received another one, three days later. Sadly the one I was given was completely broken. (Good news: I learned to get wrinkles out of clothing by dampening the garment and using a hot hair dryer!) The toiletries were paltry and the bar of hand soap was the size and thickness of a quarter. I am imagining this is done for the sake of conservation, but be aware: if you are the "DO NOT DISTURB" type, you will need to find housekeeping to stock up daily. The towels and bedding were all stain-free and seemed to be of decent quality. Temperature: We are from upstate NY and the room was very hot for us, even with the AC on the lowest temperature. We stayed in October and ended up sleeping with the windows open. Bathroom: The shower is incredibly small! If you drop your soap you would actually need to step out of the shower to pick it up! No joke! The water pressure is incredible, however, and there was always plenty of hot water. WiFi: Nearly non-existent. I have heard that they are planning to upgrade. Otherwise, you need to sit in the lobby or use the laptop they provide in the front area. Typical to Staff: Most of the staff was professional. We had many pleasant exchanges with a young waiter named Federico. The evening/night staff were not as pleasant and almost seemed bothered that they had to interact with patrons. Food: The breakfast was plentiful and consistent: a table full of breakfast pastries, cold cereal, melons, yogurt, scrambled eggs, muffins, bacon, sausage links, several types of cold cuts and cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes. We ate dinner at the hotel three times and so

Very good hotel. Nice breakfast and very good location for exploring Tuscany. Room very confortable and clean.

The outside of this hotel and the lobby area are very nice. The hotel is also in a very nice area. The room is large and the bed is comfortable. However, I rated the hotel as average due to the following: Air conditioning is controlled by the hotel. They turn it off during the day all together and raise the temperature at night so our room was warm. It averaged 75 to 77, not great for sleeping. The shower is so tiny that you can barely move in it. The toiletries looked super cheap like something you would get at a budget motel. The breakfast and overall food was mediocre. Although we didn’t have issues with the internet, I heard from other people at the hotel that they could not access the internet from their room.

Hotel is ok, some of the issues include: Internet did not most of the time from our room, only works in the dining room, we have no control of the room air conditioning, breakfast and dinner in the hotel are ok but nothing special. If you come for business, don't count on the internet from the hotel.

We stayed here from 7th September to 12th September 2023 and we were in a standard room. The room was spacious, with a table and armchair as you entered the room. The bathroom comprised of bidet, WC, shower cubicle and sink. There was a travel sized hair dryer in the bathroom which was efficient. The room was immaculate and housekeeping did an excellent job every day. The breakfast room was spacious with plenty of options, cereal, fruit, egg, bacon and tomato. There was a good choice of croissants and cakes. Fruit juice, coffee and tea and water. All of the staff were friendly and polite. A special mention goes to Pia, she greeted us every morning with a warm smile and was attentive and efficient. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful too. I will return again sion. The only suggestion I would make is to have milk in the rooms, as we had to ask for milk which was given to us in a jug which we kept in the fridge.

Gorgeous hotel downstairs, our bedroom was lovely and bright with a huge double shuttered window that opened out onto the garden and hill view. Our friends however had a split level room which dark & had a lot of wasted space in it so it did not have any chairs to on a the tv was where mirror should have been. It only had a very small window which didn’t open. Choose your room carefully. Hotel services could be much better it coffee machines were in rooms and a water/ice machine was available on each floor. You could buy water from the bar, however this was often unmanned so had to go to reception to ring for bar person to come down and then go back to bar to be served. It was pretty costly as well. There was only one staff member in bar area when it was manned. A bar menu was on display however nothing available except 2 types of focaccia . The bar lounge area was more of a meeting area rather than a social place to sit with friends. It was very tastefully decorated however sadly lacked any atmosphere. Hotel was ok and would be much more appealing if more services available.

Wow! What a grand hotel! Has loads of "old world" charm without being old. Rooms were clean, staff were all very helpful and gracious. Breakfast was included and was marvelous. Beautiful place! Fairly easy walking distance to restaurants, in to town, and train station.

The hotel is very pretty with nice outdoor garden. Rooms are good size. We are here as part of the Gate 1 tour. Staff were friendly. I was very disappointed with their Hi Speed Wi-Fi. The connection was very unstable and I had no use of Wi-Fi for one day. The explanation is that only the center rooms have good reception. I guess they don’t know much about extender/routers.
