Monterey Hotels with Wi-Fi

Thalia is the bomb and this place is stunning! I have been coming here for years and best trip yet. The new management company has upgraded the rooms very nicely and whatever they are doing with staff training is amazing I have not met a single person who’s been less than delightful since checking in early at 1 PM.

We arrived at 4 pm and checked in after 7 pm. The front desk said that the hotel system has crashed, everyone can't check in, and they can't give a time when it can be restored. Ctrip's customer service is still very good, communicated in time, and finally managed to check in. It was ridiculous, I argued with the front desk for a long time in my unfamiliar English. The location of the hotel is very good, you can walk to the aquarium, but the room facilities are outdated and need to be updated. The toilet was always beeping and the shower water wouldn't leak. Regardless of the check-in waiting time, the hotel is not bad in the popular area of ​​Montrey, and the service staff are warm and friendly. Catering is good.

We had a great time! The simple breakfast is a lot better at similar places. The airport can be noise at times, but there are only a few flights coming and going.

The hotel is right next to the golf course. The entrance is very beautiful. It is very clean and the bed is big and comfortable. The breakfast is also very good. The breakfast service staff are diligent and friendly. The front desk gave the rooms already checked in, everything else is very good

This hotel used to be amazing. In the past, I would have paid the premium cost for the service, location, and experience. Now, I just can't say that anymore. I have stayed at the Portola hotel a number of times and the last few times, it just hasn't been that great, yet they still charge the same premium price The hotel is in a great location, which is still a draw, but the experience has become average. I love going to Monterey and this hotel was a reason I would want to come back, but now I find myself looking elsewhere. Portola just doesn't meet the expectations they put forward for the premium price they charge. So if you get a good price on that harbor view room, I would say go for it. Note, you may end up with a partial view looking at the roof of a building across the way, with a partial view of the water. But I would stay here again if the price was right. But if prices are the same as some of the other waterfront hotels, I will likely book elsewhere.

Very comfortable hotel conveniently located in downtown Monterey and short distance from 17 Mile Drive. Rooms are spacious and staff is very friendly. Room amenities are: individual sized coffee pot and mini fridge as well as standard hair dryer, toiletries and iron. Microwaves can be delivered to your room by request at no additional cost. The Marriott has a bar and serves breakfast (not included in room rate) and other meals. It is connected to the Monterey Convention Center so if you are attending a conference, this is the best place to be. If you need parking, be aware, only valet parking is available at $40 per day with in and out privileges. There are a couple parking garages with hourly rates within a couple block walk, they do not have in and out privileges. Valet service takes about 10-15 minutes to get your car depending on time of day. Mornings were a little longer wait. Wifi is not free unless you are a Bonvoy Member, you can sign up on the spot. Would stay here again.

Very cost-effective and suitable for families traveling by car. It only takes 5 minutes to drive to the pier. Stayed for two nights and would choose to stay here again if given the chance.

Let's be honest - Monterey Bay is expensive. I want the most bang for my buck and I feel that I get it at Casa Munras. It is definitely my favorite hotel on the peninsula - and I have stayed at many of them, worked at many of them, and lived in all my favorite cities here. Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove - this hotel is my favorite one that I can also afford on the regular. I love the Spanish style décor. I absolutely love their beds and pillows - I sleep so good here, and the best part is the location. You can walk out of the hotel, down the street, and you're in downtown, walk a little further and you're on fisherman's wharf. Go up the street and you're at the mall. Go a little further up the street and you have the freeway right there to take you to Carmel or PG or wherever you want to go. However, there are a few negatives to this property: 1. The internet is not fast (especially depending on the building you stay in) and they do not give you the option to pay for upgraded internet. 2. You have to pay for parking - which I believe is $17/night, but I just factor that into the cost of the room when I book. 3. Not all rooms offer a mini fridge, you have to pay for an upgrade to get a room with a fridge. What's that about? All rooms should have this! Everywhere!

Lovely, small inn on the edge of everything. Within walking distance to restaurants and aquarium. Room right over the water (seaguls are a bit noisy). Room was nice size and well appointed. Great service. 2 hot tubs very small - one with nice view. Cheers to the crew who helped us celebrate a birthday! Thank you.

I chose Ctrip to book this hotel one month in advance and paid the full amount online. When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that there was no twin room.
