The room was fine and the house was nice. They have no TV service, only a TV with streaming apps in a room that is the access point to a bed room. The WiFi service is terrible. But none of that is why I'm posting this. Julie who greeted us was pleasant and helpful. A snack basket was in the hallway with the coffee pot and I took 2 bags of chips for my wife and I to eat while watching TV the night we stayed. The next morning, while getting coffee, I noticed the basket was replinished but now another basket with dollar bills in it was sitting next to it. I guess that meant that snacks were not included (really?), so I put a $5 bill in for what I took the previous night. We were told breakfast would be served at 8:30. We got up at 7:30, showered, dressed and at 8:02 I get a text that stated, "Jeff, this is Bonnie Ponstein upstairs. I am not able to do breakfast this morning. Let me know you got this message." No explanation, no apology. I waited a few days and emailed her and politely asked for a $25 credit since we came out of pocket that amount at Waffle House. She responded that this was the first time she's not provided breakfast in the 20 years she's been in business, stated she came down with Covid, then launched into a tirade complaining that she did not charge extra for the Rose Petal Turndown service we received, that we used the "plush robes and extra pillows" and were not charged extra for them either. I responded that she had us confused with another guest as we did not have a turn down service, or use the robes in the closet. I also said I was sorry for her illness and I hoped she recovered 100%. I again asked for $25. She did respond, "Sorry. I am confused and not thinking straight..." I waited over a week and asked about the credit. Now, over a month later, I have never heard back. I never even got an, "I'm sorry." She heard from me that I was sorry she had Covid. But be it Covid, the stomach flu, a death in the family or an ingrown toenail, she's running a business. To ignore such a simple request states loud and clear, "I don't care." I see on another review that it looks like new owners are coming in. Maybe it's best she sell.
