This is a great place if you are tech savvy and not in need of significant services. There is no front desk although a person is available to handle issues during the day. They speak English and French. Rooms have all kitchen appliances and washer and dryer. The bathroom was roomy and one end of it is the shower with a waterfall type head. No tub. Lights are a bit confusing with on and off and programmed sequences that incorporated automatic drapes and lights. Not sure I ever fully figured it out. Spurious signals opened the drapes spontaneously at odd hours. No instruction manual for the room, which should be easy to accomplish through a QR code. Closest metro is green line Saint Laurent, which was 500 steps for me at a brisk walk. UQAM was about 800 steps. Lots of food options within a few blocks—lots of variety along Saint Denis on way to UQAM metro. Streets seemed safe at night. Spa on roof was nice—even jacuzzi in winter! Using metro you can get to everything on foot within 15-30 minutes. Flat screen TV should have a manual, and streaming from phone or laptop never worked for me although google and Apple software was built in and I was on the hotel wireless network as instructed. Nice to have full refrigerator and ice. Coffee/espresso always available with fruit in the lobby. Need room key to enter front door always. "Boxie" the Boxotel rescue dove mascot was in the lobby and always up to sing (coo) to you. Nice place, and will definitely return.
