Larisa Beach Resort

Excellent stay, beautiful Beachfront resort. Non crowded beach, delicious food. Pintu especially made our stay a delight. Would definitely recommend for a calm, peaceful stay by the beach. We had come for new years

We had a lovely stay at LaRiSa in Morjim. The rooms are basic but everything worked, and we had an unbeatable view of the beach. It's like having your own private cabana, which is preferable if you don't love being directly out in the sun surrounded by other people (like me). The rooms also have hot tubs with a sea view, which is a very unique amenity in all of Goa. We used ours a lot! There's also a cat and kittens on the property---we immediately fell in love. We got massages at their sister property for a very reasonable price, too. Overall it was a great place to stay for a relatively quiet part of Goa. The staff was incredibly helpful, from booking to checkout. Whenever we needed anything, they were right there. If you're a foreigner, you may want to bring cash, as their card reader currently didn't support international cards. I don't usually write reviews, but some of these recent ones seem so unfair I had to say something. This place is pretty and the service is excellent. Yes, there is water directly outside the property; this water affects at least eight or nine other properties in Morjim. It would be best if they could all fill it in, or build a bridge over it (like Shaan) and then it would be perfect. But it was fine. And to the guy who complained about the hissing cats, they must have sensed you weren’t a very nice person---they were absolute sweethearts to us!

Great stay with the sea view and easy beach access. Friendly staffs and very accommodating. They have breakfast served at room. And also all the nice clubs/shacks are just 50 meters away from this property . Taxi stand is just next to the hotel and also rent a car is also available. Will definitely recommend. The Larisa is a great little collection of beach huts in an amazing part of North Goa. It’s a very short walk to numerous restaurants on the beach. The bed is extremely comfortable. The shower is fully enclosed, which was a welcome change for us, and is quite warm. Each room has an outdoor bathtub that is really closer to a jacuzzi, and when you fill it up, the water can get quite hot. The only two downsides is that it’s apparently prone to power outages and it happens to be located next to Goafornia, a beach restaurant that blasts really loud music from around 11am to 1am. However, the loud music from next door can be mitigated by using the room’s A/C, fan, and ear plugs. The Larisa also has mini-fridges and provides bottled water and good toiletries. Definitely recommended, if the noise from next door won’t bother you.

The location of this resort is very good, it’s one of the few places in Morjim that actually has a beach front location although they fail to make the most of this. There are sun loungers available to guests but these were never properly set up or cleaned throughout our stay, there was’nt any consistency to the cleaning regime of the outside areas available. I must say the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful when asked for anything but unfortunately their lack of experience in serving and actually understanding a guests needs was very apparent. For example breakfast was included in the price of our room but this usually took around one hour to arrive and when it did it was a very standard affair, it all arrived at once so were left without even a drink for that time. You could have an evening meal at the resort but the bad experience with the breakfasts made us never take up this option, this was a real shame because as I say the setting on the beach is one of the best. The resort is in need of updating and renovating, it’s definitely now more shabby than chic. The general condition of the resort as a whole is totally unacceptable at this price point. We paid in excess of £150 a night and for this price you should receive a lot more. Fixtures and fittings including toilet, shower, bed and wardrobes are all looking very tired and although staff try and keep them all clean when something is old and worn to start with it is never going to look clean and fresh. So all in all a very disappointing stay the main issue is the price it’s so expensive for what you actually get and therefore left me feeling very disappointed. The pictures on the website do not look as things do in reality. Finally we had read about noise and music from the bars next door, until you actually experience the pounding music from approximately 11 am to 1 am does it become a reality. If you’re here for this then it’s fine if not you have been warned.

Spent six nights here in March. The location cannot be faulted as it is completely beachfront, however, for the rates that are being charged per night, you would expect a higher standard of room. The rate also included breakfast but every morning we had a minimum wait of an hour and everything was brought together on a tray. We weren’t even given a drink while we were waiting for the food. Because of this we will put off eating here in the evening as service did not really start until 7 pm, so did not want to wait more than an hour for our evening meal . That being said the staff were fantastic and very very friendly
