Best Hotels with Gym in Mount Pleasant

I live here every time I go to the child's school. The front desk is very friendly and it is very convenient to check in and leave. Free parking and free WiFi. The room is large and can accommodate four people. It is very close to the University of Central Michigan, so you don't need to drive, it only takes about 10 minutes on foot. There is a Chinese restaurant in front of the hotel. The owner is a pool player and the dishes are authentic. It's not too far from great wall, and the buffet is convenient and affordable.

We stayed at this property on a weekend in April 2021 for a family gathering in the area (a memorial service). The last time we stayed at this particular property was in April 2006, also for a memorial service! The property has been significantly upgraded since our first stay. As it was still in the midst of the COVID-19 period, all of the protocols were being observed and exceeded in many cases. The front desk personnel at both check-in and check-out were very pleasant and efficient. The room amenities were well above standard. At first we thought the walk-in shower with the swinging door was going to require getting into the shower and getting a blast of cold water before turning more temperate. But, the door design deflects the spray so one can easily turn it on and let it warm up for a shower! Nice job, designers!! We ate an evening meal in the Bennigan's Restaurant that is connected to the hotel. The one demerit I give the hotel is that the signage to the restaurant could be improved. We walked past the directional sign the first time and made an unnecessary trek to the end of the property and back before discovering our error. The height of the signs is not consistent. Anyway, we did find it and had great service and tasty meal items. We would stay again if we are in the Mt. Pleasant area.

We pull in and it seemed like it was a parking lot hang out. People just sitting in their cars, dogs leashed to their cars, people just sitting around. We walked in the lobby and it was a mess. There was no coffee or tea available. The whole hotel smelled of cigarette smoke, even my room. The elevator sounded like it was going to breakdown any minute. We got to our floor and a room had nasty dirty yellow stuff on the towels on the floor in the hallway. The cleaning lady was a few doors down and she walked right past them with her cart. They were still there the next day! We got to our room and it was nothing like the pictures. The first thing I noticed was the blanket had some white crusty stain on it. That went straight to the floor. Disgusting! The pillows were not your standard size pillows. They were throw pillows. My husband found toenail clippings on the ottoman. Clothing tags on the floor. The carpet needs to be cleaned, same as the bathroom floor. Only 2 towels were given in our bathroom. The microwave was gross. Just glad we didn’t have to use it. The fridge was on the floor. The ac/heater didn’t work at all. When we tried to see how it worked there seemed to be mold/dust inside the vents of the ac/heater unit too. We stayed there only because we weren’t spending any time there. The next morning my husband went downstairs around 6 am and there was a party going on down there and he said people were getting high down. A lot of weed was being smoked. The breakfast was stale bread for toast with a dirty toaster, belvita breakfast biscuits, chocolate chip muffins, and pop tarts. No coffee/tea available, again. We skipped breakfast and packed up and left.

Booked a one night stay because we were going to the ****** to see a concert. Pleasantly surprised that there was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. Rooms were very neat and clean. They did serve a complimentary breakfast including eggs and sausage.

The worst customer experience I have ever encountered. I booked a block of 14 rooms for a group of High school students in February. This is our 7th+ year of doing this trip and we have always stayed at this same hotel with no problems. First the hotel messed up and didn't have the rooms ready because they put the reservation on the wrong night. This was despite my 2 calls double checking that everything was correct. When I got there the manager told me she was sorry and that ”She didn't know what she was doing.” I'm a patient person and said no problem and we waited in the lobby for 45 minutes to get our rooms ready. When I asked for my receipts the following day, the manager could not print them for me because she had to adjust their error she made before. The following week I found out I was charged for the rooms twice (28 total) and I have been dealing with trying to get this fixed for 2 months. I have spoken with the manager who was ”going to fix it right away.” Nothing happened. Then I called Marriott corporate. Many emails were exchanged with them supposedly taking care of the problem. Here we are almost two months later and they still have not fixed this and then disputed my attempts to dispute the charges on my credit card. I have spent hours and hours dealing with this hotel and Marriott corporate and now my credit card company and we are still nowhere. Marriott has not been helpful as this is their problem and they can't get their act together. I WOULD AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!

Wow where do I start, to begin, I booked this trip to see a show at Soaring Eagle ******, we were going to stay at the ******s Hotel, however, they were booked. So we looked for nearby hotels. We came across Baymont by Wyndham, I selected a King Suite with a hot tub in the room. $384.62 for the 2 nights, Friday night and Saturday night. When we booked the room over the phone we were told that we had to give a credit card to ”hold” the room, also told that there are no pets allowed in the hotel, so we asked if when we got there we could pay cash, the nice lady on the phone said yes. so we hired a pet sitter to watch our dog for the 3 days, costing us $200. Here's where it all went bad. We arrived at the hotel and as we pulled in we saw a lady with a dog going into the building, other than her we seemed to be the only car in the whole lot. But all things aside we walked in and went to the desk to check-in. We were greeted by a man named ”Dallas”. Dallas was very kind in the beginning, then once he asked for our card, we gave him cash, and he seemed to be confused. We explained that when we talked to the woman on the phone to book the room she explained that we only needed to have a credit card to HOLD the room, then we could pay with cash. Dallas told us that they don't ever accept cash, we asked for the manager (Because all we had brought was a credit card and the cash for the room) to our surprise the manager was not available that day. It appeared that Dallas was the only person running the building and we did not want to give him a hard time so we paid on our credit card. we then asked about the dog policy and we were told that they only allow service dogs. now, our dog at home just so happened to be a service dog. We were aggravated by this because now the $200 we are paying some lady to watch our dog is for nothing. Anyways, we get our items from our vehicle and take them to the room. We set our items down in the room and we left to go get food (We were starving from the long drive) when we got back to the hotel we took a closer look at everything, my first concern was the tub, it was literally right next to the bed, like maybe 2 feet from the bed, plus there seemed to be long black hair in the tub. As I was looking at the tub, my wife was putting her jewelry on the desk and found a notepad with very disturbing images and notes on it, the notepad was obviously the hotels because it had the name of the hotel and address on it. The notepad had probably 15 different pages of inappropriate words on it. ”F*** me Da***” and ”Beat my A** like a drum” and more but you get the point. In the very very small bathroom we had several problems, first, we noticed that the toilet paper roll was more than half gone, plus that night when using the shower about 2 minutes into the shower, the head itself started making a very loud and obnoxious noise that sounded like the head was literally going to explode. We passed by the desk several times and no one was the

For the most part room was clean. There was no bath mat in the rest room and hair on the walls of the shower. Nice pool and hot tub. Had to go to the front desk because no towels on the shelve. Convenient to soaring eagle ******.
