Great hotel for the money, well furnished with good food and drinks options. Traveling around is easy with the metro down the road and the bus stop right outside that takes you direct into town.

Had a lovely stay at the great north hotel whilst visiting family in Newcastle.
Check in was quick and friendly.
I did get allocated an accessible room which I’m never too comfortable with, I understand these rooms need to be accommodated but as someone without disabilities I just prefer the cosier setting. The staff on the reception were very helpful and were able to swap me to a standard room without any fuss, I really appreciated this!
The room was very comfortable and all the facilities were very clean and felt new which is always nice. I had everything I could possible want and having the 3 mile just downstairs was perfect as it’s a lovely pub and the food is great!
Will definitely be back! Thank you for a great stay!

A really lovely hotel, perfectly placed for my business appointment the following day. I had been staying in Premier Inns all week and this was a good step up in quality without any extra price. Obviously some work has been undertaken to update the facilities which has been done well. Having the restaurant available was great and the Caesars Salad was absolutely perfect.
