Not bad. Although it is not in a tourist area or the center of Rotterdam, it is in a local residential area and the service is quite timely. You have to get used to not having a kettle, but this hotel is also strange. The cups and teeth-brushing cups are disposable paper cups. They have been like this for so many years. The dining is pretty good and lively, but there may not be many choices around.

There are blood stains on the quilt and cigarette butts on the balcony. The hygiene is very bad. Everything else is okay.

I came from the UK, no taxis no bolts so I called the hotel for help. Ricardo at the desk told me I had to make my own arrangements. I could not get through to the taxis he suggested and had one bar left on my phone. I ended up having to walk the 37 min in the dark by myself. I questioned this approach when I arrived and he was terribly rude, stated he did not care what could have happened (this was almost midnight). His colleague ar the desk was very professional and kind. I certainly would not suggest anybody from abroad trying to make it here without a car and looking at previous reviews, helpfulness is clearly not a mainstay of this hotel.

Admittedly it is a bit of a trek to get to/from this hotel if your meetings/holiday are in central Rotterdam (25 minute taxi or 60+ minutes on public transport), but the hotel itself is really quite good. Large, bright and modern rooms (many overlook a canal and park), a perfectly good restaurant/bar and very friendly service. I was very positively surprised once I got over my grumpiness about the location.

Very spacious room, excellent facilities, immaculate bathroom. Friendly and efficient staff. Great food. Large car park and EV charging. Excellent hotel.
