Holiday Inn Express Boston - Quincy

Quincy|2.46km from Adams National Historical Park
I booked this hotel because it was the least expensive place I found anywhere remotely close to Boston. While it was far from cheap, it was affordable. It's also a very nice hotel. I arrived just shortly after noon. The desk clerk was extremely pleasant and accommodating. While I expected to just leave my bags and go out exploring, he actually checked me into a room immediately. The hotel couldn't be better located. It's a block and a half to the North Quincy 'T' station. You can go from your room to the red line platform in five minutes and then easily get anywhere greater Boston. While for some reason they keep the front door locked at all times, the area around the hotel seems quite safe. It's mostly transit-oriented development--brand new condo towers and a variety of chain stores and restaurants. The room was large, immaculate, and quite well appointed. The only thing I'd improve is the lighting. It seemed quite dark both by day and night. Some overhead lighting options would be nice. Another quirk was that the alarm clock was set to the wrong time, and there didn't appear to be any way to set it correctly. While I use my phone as the actual alarm, I do like to look at the clock if I should wake in the middle of the night. With one exception, the hotel facilities seemed quite nice. The exception is the ice machines. They are strange (quite different than what most hotels use), and they seem to break down frequently. They really should swap these out for a more standard alternative. Those quirks do not lower my rating, though. The room was nice, and the breakfast was also quite good. When I return to the Boston area, I'll very likely stay here again.

The overall is not bad, the service is okay, the room is clean but the room is a bit small. Sound insulation is also good. The location is ok and the price/performance ratio is high.

Stayed here in 2022 and there were a few things that needed improvement. Stayed again in May 2023 and learned that the hotel is under new management. Service was great, room was sizable & clean, and they now offer free coffee & tea and free breakfast … which was well-stocked and satisfying. Certainly will be staying here again!

Location was excellent, very quiet area. The only inconvenience was: -On 4th night, bathroom ceiling was leaking water and we had to be moved to another room. -Had to call guest services to request new fresh towels and other items since housekeeping does not check rooms every day. - There is no hot breakfast. Just a few ”to-go items”. -Hardly any cold water in shower.

My Family and I stayed at this property for a little less than a month and it felt like a second home to us almost immediately! The entire front office, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were wonderful! Shannon, Kevin, Julia, Wilson, Amy, Elaine, Allen all went above and beyond for my family and I and we will always be so thankful! Keep up the good work!

The distance from the hotel to the airport is about 20 minutes. If there is no traffic jam, it will take about half an hour to get to the city center. If it is traffic jam, it will take about 50 minutes. I stayed at this hotel for a total of five days and booked a total of two rooms. After checking in, I found out that it was an ensuite. The room size is very large. Very pleasant surprise. I booked a room without breakfast. I brought an electric heating pot myself. The breakfast at the American hotel was always uncomfortable, so I bought bread, eggs, and milk from the supermarket and ate it in the morning. Crossing the road from the hotel is a big shopping mall, supermarket, very convenient for shopping. When I went, it happened to be the memory day of the United States. The malls were discounted at the discount, so they went shopping. Near the mall, on the other side of the store, there is a Chinese restaurant, but the hanging brand is a Japanese restaurant. In fact, many waiters and dishes are Chinese food, which is suitable for friends who like to eat Chinese food. More than 20 minutes drive from the hotel to one of Boston's largest outlet stores, shopping is very convenient. This hotel is a very cost effective hotel. Worth choosing.
