It’s an ok motel some rooms have bugs some of the employees are awesome but others very unprofessional

Great stay; comfortable bed and pillows!

Never cleaned our room

The stay at the Howard Johnson was One of my best stays I've experienced in a while but it fitted my needs because I'm in a wheelchair but overall it was Great. I think the breakfast could have been better and the facilities were good as well like I really say it was nice.

Good place

Convenient for a one night stay. Clean bed. Bathroom should be cleaner. Hair in the shower. Stain in the toilet. Cockroach in the sink.

I've stayed at this particular Howard Johnson's many times. They've always been very accomodating & friendly. Rooms are great....love the bed...haha! Good location too.

i arrived on march 7 and checked out on march 15th no one emptied my trash, changed sheets, swept floor bathroom sink would not hold water, and was still broken when I left, paint was peeling off the bottom of tub, microwave did not work, so worker just switched mine with some other room, refrigerator stopped working and all food I purchased had to be thrown out! and my cell phone was taken from in front of my room.

Was supposed to be poolside. They didn't give me poolside. When I booked, the big perk was dining from 6 - 9 pm, as I was working all day, when I asked about the restaurant upon check in, I was told they only did pizza, which they were out of. Floors in room was sticky. Rooms were extremely small. They had my reservation for three people, I had.to go back and get more towels. There was no soap and the fridge was broken. The TV stations were mostly in Spanish, so relaxing was not easy. I travel to Ocala a lot and I haven't experienced anything like this at other hotels. HJ used to be such a a nice place, no more. I won't be going back there.

We had BUGS BAD, kids got ate up and we all woke up at 3am beating off bugs. Old mattresses dirty and uncomfortable. Rooms clean and facilty clean.

So, overall this place has 2.5 stars and I really can't tell why. The 50's called and they want their hotel back. The location is so close to the interstate and ALL of the doors face it, so all day, and all night the traffic from I-75 is droning on. The room itself was drab and blah. The TV was small and not smart. The Jacuzzi tub was as old as I am and EXTREMELY loud. The one saving grace for this property, the staff!! They were outstanding, understanding, empathetic and accommodating.

Unfortunately, we booked two rooms with this hotel for three nights and upon arrival the rooms undated, runned put, smelled of mold and the rooms were dirty. It was like housekeeping just pulled the covers up and over. There was hair in the sheets because they were dirty sheets and bathroom was disgusting. However, the young gentleman apologized and gave us our money back.

We were chsrged for the rooms before we got here even though it said we wouldn't be until.arrival. The room smelled of cigarettes but otherwise everything else was fine.

The old HoJo feel is still alive around here. The office and lobby are in a separate building across the parking lot. Rooms are spacious and clean, bathrooms are large. Rooms have mini fridge and microwave, no coffee maker but you can request one at the lobby. Staff was friendly and efficient, breakfast was free and good.
