"Just back from 2 nights staying at this charming Chateau. The local area is beautiful, with plenty of restaurant / bistro options in Oudon and the surrounding villages. My room was decorated and furnished to a meticulously high standard, and I had 2 great nights of sleep on the comfortable bed. Great bathroom too; I was lucky enough to have the room with the "shower in a tower" - very cool! The views over the Loire valley are to die for, and every window frames another fantastic view from inside the Chateau. No light pollution at night makes for some amazing star gazing too! Breakfast was an event! Home made bread and preserves, excellent coffee, an egg from the Chateau's hens, local apple juice and lots more! The highlight of the stay was to be welcomed and looked after so well by Lars. A heartwarming experience!"

"We loved this hotel. The owners are very nice and friendly. Thank you. We picked this hotel as we were travelling south and wanted to stay somewhere en-route that was not in a big city. This hotel turned out to be ideal and we found lots to visit in the area. The restaurant at the hotel is very nice and relaxed. Every evening they have a different special dish for starters, main and dessert. It is a real treat to be there. While staying we discovered the lovely view of the Loire river, we visited Oudon nearby and we went a walk and discovered the ruins of an ancient castle. It is possible to get a train at Oudon and travel to Nantes or travel east to Ancenis and change train to Angers or elsewhere. Also in the local village of the hotel there is a nice supermarket and a patisserie and a few other small shops. In summer high season there is an open air swimming pool but it was closed when we were there. Thanks for a great stay."
