It was wonderful, rooms were so clean. Just one thing, maybe they would clean or use sand to save people from sea-urchin in 5-10 meters away from the beach. Anyway, our trip was so relaxing and nice!

1) The hotel is new with excellent rooms. It also has excellent outdoor and indoor spaces. 2) I gave 4 instead of 5 to the location because the sea in front of the hotel has rocks and is very cloudy. When I say rocks, I mean lots of rocks, small, big and sharp. In a word, the sea is bad. 3) I gave 4 instead of 5 to the service because I was not informed at check in about the sharp rocks. I was cut badly by the rocks. You can only swim with beach shoes. 4) At the hotel restaurant, we ate pizza with mushrooms. The pizza was not eaten. Unacceptable for a 5* hotel. 5) There are beaches near the hotel, about 500 meters away, that you can go to with your car. They have sand, no stones, they are crystal clear, you can see everything at the bottom and they are not very crowded. 6) The breakfast is fantastic. It even has things you didn't think of. Would I go back to the hotel? Of course yes. I will swim in the nearby beaches and eat in the village of Ierissos. It's an excellent hotel, but a bit expensive.

The location of this property is ideal, right on the seafront. The staff is very friendly and the private beach offers an abundance of lounge chairs. However, a slight drawback is the presence of sea urchins in the water starting about 4-5 meters from the shore. The surrounding area is full of beautiful beaches

Beautiful rooms with nice views, quiet beach with plenty of space, warm crystal clear water. The staff was kind and helpful, the hotel/beach/pool was super clean. Very good breakfast (thank you to Vasilia for always being so welcoming and cheerful). Very good Wi-Fi coverage.

This is a strange hotel on a pebbly beach across from the Ierissos port. The property is brand new and the room I had was new too. A welcome drink was provided. The finishes were very high end and the bedding nice too. There were Molton Brown toiletries too. The breakfast was nice. What makes this so strange is the location which is outside the town and is a 20 minute walk. There is literally nothing around except the small port. Also none of the staff or guests were Greek. You did not feel like you were in Greece. Staff was unable to provide any advice on doing anything outside the hotel and they had no knowledge on the area in general.

We went there for a quick family trip because of the great ratings but it was very disappointing. Its not a 5 star like we are used to. They tried to do it stylish but at a very low cost and thats what you can see. No towel hangers or small hand towels in the bathroom and our carpet was full of stains. The resort is only 2/3 years old but looks like very used already. Some parts of the pool area/ restrooms at the beach restaurant looked very used and dirty. To get to the pool area you have to walk through the main restaurant which is weird to me in pool clothes and with wet feet. Also there are stairs to get to the pool and beach. What we liked was that it has the pool and beach very close to each other. The food was good and the staff really friendly. I would rate it a 4 star hotel at most though.

I highly recomend Mount Athos resort. It was really great vacation! Very clean rooms, very friendly staff, especially on breakfast Vasilia and Georgia and on dinner Tolis ( his advices were very helpful for us to choose tasty food). Sea is clean and a little rocky. Definetly return back again!

I’ve just left the hotel after a week with my wife and two kids (9&8). It was really great stay, Perfect location, great food, very nice pools and beach. All what you expect from 5 star hotel during summer holiday you will meet there. Thank you! Marcin & family.

Visited here at random having found it online. I booked mostly based on the positive reviews rather than any deep research, although I did go on the hotel Instagram page which is a touching homage to the page 3 era, and the hotel website which is quite cryptic and doesn't give a whole lot away. In reality this is a lovely hotel. The buildings and rooms are clean and modern, and the pool and beach were some of the nicest I have ever seen. The pool in fact is maybe the nicest hotel pool I have seen. The real luxury here is the astonishing ratio of communal space to rooms - the hotel was pretty full when we were here, but at any given time there were 10 free sun loungers on the front row of the beach, free beds by the pool, free tables in the restaurant etc. Another luxury is the high number of staff - there are people just kind of standing around in case you want to talk to them, and if you do ask for anything then they are very helpful - the hotel fulfilled a lot of non standard requests for our two toddlers. The clientele here were mostly from Eastern Europe - I am not sure why - perhaps the proximity to mount Athos, but also perhaps the marketing of the hotel does not appeal to the British market. The communication of what is basically a pretty luxurious and family friendly resort via their website is very opaque, and this strange hesitancy in sharing all that the hotel has to offer continues when you arrive - there are no signs anywhere, and I discovered some pretty significant features by pure chance by wandering around. There is a fully functioning and staffed nursery and kids club, free of charge, that is hidden in a corner, and a tennis court that you can't see unless you walk past a sort of maintenance area up a hillside. My only real criticism of the hotel is that there were a lot of mosquitos. Our room had a nice outdoor terrace and garden but we never went out there due to being bitten as soon as we opened the door, which is a bit of a shame. This problem did seem to be quite localised to our room - by the pool and beach and in the restaurant I didn't see one mosquito. Overall I really liked this place - it was very easy to spend time here and very relaxing. Our toddler loved it and staff were very kind to him.
