Hotels near Eglise du Saint-Esprit in Paris

I first stayed here in October 2022. I’d intended to write a review saying that it was “fine”, a solid 3.5 rating. I stayed again in January 2023 and I’ve changed my mind. This property is actually kind of perfect! It’s not luxurious (it doesn’t advertise that it is) but it IS clean, safe, conveniently located and filled with all the things you need to work or play. This is a perfect option for those who want to rent an apartment but may not feel comfortable using one the big named private rental companies. On both my visits I was there for work and play. Half of my days were vacation days and I didn’t spend much time in the room but the other half were days where I worked remote so I spent about half the day inside the room. I rented a two-person studio. The space is small-ish by American standards but right in-line with European standards. It had separate spaces for dining and working (although I used the dining table to work because it was more comfortable for me). There are LOTS of outlets in the room and the Wi-Fi is really good. This came in handy because I was working remote and it was critical to be able to easily power my equipment (laptop, portable monitor, camera, cell phone and earphones) and stay connected to my work in the states. The bathroom is fairly large. There is a full kitchen with standard appliances and all the dishes and utensils one would need to make a complete meal. I don’t love the coffee maker in the room, but it’s fine because there are several cafes within walking distance and there’s a Starbucks nearby too, if you’re so inclined. The staff is very nice and extremely helpful. Everyone I encountered spoke English, which came in handy because my French is kind of terrible. The neighborhood felt safe. I often walked to the market after dark and never felt unsafe. There are two Metro lines within a 3 - 4 minute walk and there are many bus lines within a 6 minute walk. There are at least two markets within 3 - 4 minute walking distance and also two pharmacies. The neighborhood is quiet. It’s far enough away from the touristy stuff to feel like you’re living like a local, but you can quickly and easily get to the touristy parts of town. There is a laundry room onsite which comes in handy for longer stays. The machines seemed a bit pricey for me but they may not be. I haven’t had to use a laundromat for a number of years so the prices could be standard (I believe they were 5.00€ to wash and 2.50€ to dry. Laundry detergent is included). The machines do a good job of cleaning and take about an hour each. Breakfast can be purchased daily. Coffee is free. I didn’t purchase the breakfast but it looked like a decent spread with many good options. The front desk also has a small selection of foods, snacks and wine for sale. They’re a tiny bit more pricey than at the local market but they come in handy if you need something quickly after the markets have closed. The hotel is very close to the bus station, so I booked this Ibis to stay. The price is very favorable, the room space is quite large, the sanitation is also good, and the price/performance ratio is very good

The staff and service were friendly, welcoming and nothing seemed an issue. The daily house keeping was up there with 5 star hotels. There is everything you need either in the hotel or right outside - including weekly markets and the metro. Our room even had the cutest lil balcony and they made the most of every square inch of storage in the room.

From beginning to end this stay was one I'd rather never have had the unfortunate opportunity of experiencing. Let's begin with the ”pre-authorisation of funds from me account which was not mentioned anywhere within the hotel policy over on Booking.com . Myself and my partner decided to pay at the property because for us it was more convenient economically speaking as this allowed us more control in our finances before traveling. However the hotel decided 4 weeks before our trip to place a hold on €104 ”which was not in the policies ” on my account. When I contacted the hotel they apologised and said they would cancel the charge immediately. That was Feb 9th the funds remained in a pending transaction state for a further 3 week's until my bank retrieved the funds at my request. The very same morning within 30 minutes of my funds being released the hotel again placed a hold of the same amount €104 on my account which was only a few days before we were due to travel. Upon arrival we were met by a truly lovely lady at reception o didn't get her name unfortunately but she was the only positive I could write about this hotel. So if you are reading this the young lady who was on reception on Sunday afternoon you are a treasure. That is where the positives end I'm afraid. The room was clean on arrival. However not once in the 3 night's we stayed was our room attended by cleaning staff . Despite leaving the cleaning request clearly hanging in the external door handle. We received no replacement water no replacement of tea or coffee making supplies. I had to bring our rubbish to reception in 2 occasions and request clean towels on 2 occasions from the reception both time's I had to go to and from reception to do this. When I raised this issue on the 2nd day a blonde lady who I can only assume was management was less than helpful regarding the matter giving 2 different excuses for the situation. One was the cleaning staff may not have understood the cleaning request tag for the door which the hotel provided the second was she her cleaning staff weren't there because of a strike which was untrue as I observed the staff cleaning room in our floor early that morning as we left to go out for the day. The funniest thing was the cleaning staff arrived at our door at 11.36 am on the morning we were leaving when we were doing our final preparations for the day ahead to travel home ironic really or is this perhaps standard for the hotel? So basically this lady lied to my face rather than accept responsibility for the horrendous service the hotel was providing. I did complain on 2 occasions during the stay and again at checkout not once was responsibility accepted. My ad

Location: Wonderful, it's next to Barcy Village, a shopping area, with many restaurants, cinemas and stores. Along with a park and the metro station, within a 2 min walk from the hotel. There is a Metro supermarket along with a Carrefour there too. On a map it seems a little far from the centre of Paris, but its a lovely walk along the river and a lesieryly walk took us into the heart of Paris within 1 hour walk, or just take a 10 min taxi ride or a 10 min subway ride. Location is great. If you go into the centre of Paris then you probably looking at small 11-18sqM rooms, don't do this, travel out a little bit and get a room that you can relax in. Room Good size, modern, clean. Big TV, fridge, desk etc... Some bad things now, the AC did not seem powerful enough to keep the room cold, it kept the room cool, but not cold. Also, there were no plug sockets near the bed for charging phones, so bring a really long charging cable Bed is comfortable and the big windows provided a nice open feeling (note, the windows do not open though) Fast Wifi too. Bathroom: Big, clean, modern. Good water pressure, a big mirror with good lighting but it did steam up - but not a big deal. Has a bathtub and shower combined. Breakfast / Food Buffet-style breakfast with patties, eggs, bread, yoghurt, cheeses, tea, and coffee - all pretty standard for most European hotels that offer breakfast. Cannot say I was amazed by it but was not disappointed either - normal. We did have dinner at the hotel which was lovely. Beautiful salad and pasta. No complaints here. Facilities It's like a modern art gallery. Has giant sculptures everywhere, table football, ping pong tables, a hairdresser/barber, a cinema room, a BBQ area, a pool, spa, gym... it's a lot for a hotel to have. It's almost too much but it's lovely to have and if you are spending a long time in the Hotel then there are many things you can do - but we were here only for a few days so did not try out everything. But much better to have than not. Gym Some free weights, a yoga studio area, a punching bag, callisthenics bars - it's all pretty good. Set in the basement of the hotel and accessible only by 1 of the 4 elevators they have is annoying, but again, Pullman offers a lot of facilities Pullman is a wonderful hotel which offers large rooms and is a plus in a city like Paris. Everything is clean and modern with only the AC power being below average. I cannot say Pullman is the cheapest hotel, next door there is an IBIS but we wanted a larger room - I would book Pullman again, especially if they have a good price. For a short stay it is good because of the location and for a long stay its good because of the room size and facilities.

I was paying close to $200 a night and I was there 6 nights. Only on check-in was I told there would be no housekeeping unless i was there 8 days. If I wanted housekeeping it would be another 18 euros a night. Excuse was ”its like an apartment”. Pathetic. I had asked for a higher floor in advance and initially got the 4th of 8, then was given the 5th. Not good enough. Paper was left on the hall floor outside the room for days. There was no non-skid mat for the bath/shower which was slippery. The TV was faulty on the meagre english channels and nothing was done to fix it. The room floor was dusty as wiping with a towel showed. Etc Etc. Staff were poorly trained for information. I wrote to the hotel GM and never even got an acknowledgement to the email. The room itself was fine and so was the breakfast and no issue with the location for where I had to go work wise. Everything else was very poor. Replacement GM is needed. Not good.

It has a quite good location. but still little bit far from the city center. And staff at front desk are not that work well. they are sometimes confusing what bed is available. also they are not that concentrating on the online booking. seems like… But really clean and good facilities i highly recommend

The hotel is in a very convenient location, staff are great and the metro, restaurants and supermarkets are close by. The room was small but adequate, and suited our needs. Suburban area with family apartments close to the peripherique, our room was at the back looking over the balconies and gardens of an apartment block which was quiet, the front rooms overlook the motorway and city, which is probably a great view at night but potentially noisy. Convenient parking is available. Laundry service is available a block away.

El hotel queda en la parte sur de París, no tan cerca de la parte turística de la ciudad, pero está cerca de una estación de metro. Inicialmente, estábamos super preocupados por los comentarios de chinches en los cuartos, pero afortunadamente no paso nada de eso, pero se que a unos amigos que iban con nosotros, si tuvieron problemas con los chinches, parece que es algo de suerte. Los cuartos son algo pequeños: una cama, una barra para colgar chaquetas y una pequeña mesa con una silla y lucen algo antiguas las habitaciones. El agua caliente funciona bien. La calefacción no la usamos ya que no hacía tanto frío. Al baño le falta algo de limpieza, tenia mucho moho. El desayuno es buffet y es bastante bueno con diferentes opciones. El servicio del personal también fue muy bueno. Fueron muy amables. Solo un detalle para que tengan cuidado. Un día salimos todo el día y cuando regresamos, la puerta estaba entreabierta. Al parecer, la persona de la limpieza al salir, no cerró bien la puerta. Afortunadamente no se nos perdió nada, pero la verdad nos asustamos mucho.
