Ibis Paris Gare du Nord Chateau-Landon 10EME

Paris|1.47km from Le Carrousel
I stayed in this hotel with my 6 year old daughter from the 24th of July til the 28th of July and I must say I did not have the best experience there. Firstly in my booking that I made with booking.com it said that the price included breakfast so I was shocked to hear that I had to pay for my daughter 4 days of breakfast on top. It said clearly breakfast was included.. If I book a room for both of us and the breakfast is included surely it is for both of us?? I sent several messages to get a refund but they never reply and before my trip I sent them emails about my trip but never got any replies. Also I found the staff extremely rude and unhelpful when I was asking for things when I was there, especially a black tall guy who was just rolling his eyes and staring even when I asked for an iron like it was a problem. When I asked for directions instead of actually explaining things to me I was just given a map, maybe as the English was not very good but I think hotel staff should speak sufficient English. Breakfast was good selection but once again the staff there hardly smiled always seemed rushed and pushing through the queues putting down their croissants, very rude. I been working 22 years as cabin crew so I know what good customer service is like. Also they put a transaction hold of £70 on my debit card that has not been refunded. Lastly I should have checked the location better but coming back late at night is not very safe at all, especially with a young daughter. Lots of dodgy people around.

5 nights in this hostel can be described as a place to sleep, no more. If you want amenities at the highest level, I think it's worth looking for another place. I chose a room for 6 people with bunk beds, staggering and creaking, I thought that it would fall apart while I climbed to 2 tiers. There are no drawers where you can leave the bag, everything is on everyone on the floor, on a chair, etc. If you are not there anyone can take your things, you should rely only on the decency of guests like you. I was lucky, everyone was very considerate and no one climbed into other people's things. Why does it cost a sink, but in fact it is not needed there, as it seemed to me. There was a door with slots, but each one had his own blanket, so it was normal. To wash or go to the toilet you need to leave the room, go a short distance along the internal micro-courtyard and you are in the restroom, a strange system to be honest ... They monitor the cleanliness, but ... all sorts of people and a couple of times had to run into trouble in the toilet, but it is rather a claim to visitors and their respect for others. The shower room is also micro, straight from the word micro, if you bend over the soap while showering, then you will 100% run into the wall with the boot, as men washed the mystery for me, because I did not fit there at all. The kitchen is normal, there is a refrigerator and everything necessary for cooking, but you can’t count on tea or coffee, it is not there. Laundry is 5 euros, things are washed and dried, but mine remained wet and dried for another day (In general, the hostel is not bad, but it’s worth a bunch of things to redo it to become top-end. But for Paris ... I think it’s worth the money besides, you go there not to sit in the room, but to walk, but next time I will choose a completely different hostel for myself as an individual traveler.

Hotel de France 18

If you go to the hotel, you should have no expectations. The room is too small, very unhygienic, everywhere is a lot of dust and in the bathroom is mold on the walls. In order to enjoy a nice stay in the city of love, I advise against this hotel. The hotel staff are not willing to compromise and did not want to give us the money back as we actually wanted to stay there for three nights but instead only stayed one night. Three nights for two people cost € 173 for an unhygienic room on a busy street. You have to be lucky to get a room with a bathroom, because not every room has a bathroom. For those without a bath, there are shared showers. The hotel did not really seem safe as you felt like it might collapse at any moment. If you want to go to Paris, do not go to this hotel, please.

Our third and surely not our last visit to this wonderful, charming hotel. Rooms are small but comfortable, breakfast buffet is very nice. But, the standout feature of this property is the exceptional staff! They are extremely accommodating, knowledgeable about the city, and very willing to offer help and advice. We would not stay anywhere else in Paris!

I stayed in the Playce hotel for more than 5 months and the service has been just perfect since day 1. - The personal is friendly with a daily good vibes. - The location is just perfect to discover Paris and specially the streets around Sacrée Coeur (Montmartre). - The metro is at 2 min by walking and serve all the key touristic spots. - The most interesting point is that too many supermarkets and restaurants in the neighborhood which allows me everyday to taste a plate from a new country. I could just recommend this hotel for the people who wants to stay in Paris for a while either for professional or personal reasons :)

Montmartre
This is a very clean and comfortable hotel. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend it. Our room was of good size and very comfortable. It overlooked the front, but there was no noise as the windows and walls are well insulated. The bathroom was small and the bathtub was narrow, although it had a powerful shower head above. On the ground floor next to the reception area is a smart dining area. We only had coffee here and relaxed in the comfortable sofas. The staff are very friendly and gave us sightseeing tips and advice in fluent English. We loved the location - it’s in a quieter, semi-residential district, whilst still close to several shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Most importantly it’s around the corner from the stunning Sacre Coeur and the artists’ square. We like walking and enjoyed ‘getting the steps in’ by strolling down the hill to the central areas and main sights. The funicular makes this hill climb easier for those wishing to take this option. The bus is a great option for getting to and from the hotel. We used it to return to the hotel on one occasion - the hotel is located close to two stops - tickets are cheap.
