The local breakfast was delicious and featured fresh, organic ingredients from the area. We particularly enjoyed the evening stargazing, as the night sky was crystal clear away from city lights. This place is absolutely perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or anyone looking to reconnect with nature. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem to all our friends and family, and we plan to return again in the different seasons to experience the changing beauty of the mountains. The farmhouse was lovely, a 5-minute walk from Xinglong Mountain Scenic Area. The courtyard was clean, spacious, and bright. A small slope opposite the courtyard led uphill, where orchards and cornfields lined both sides, creating a tranquil environment. I enjoyed a morning stroll with my dog ​​along the paths through the fields. The courtyard had no walls, but was surrounded by its own homegrown vegetables: scallions, chili peppers, lettuce, bok choy, and other greens. The owner's cooking was superb, far exceeding our expectations for farmhouse meals. All the ingredients were homegrown, purely organic, resulting in a unique and flavorful taste. The stir-fried pork with chili peppers was fragrant, the tofu and vermicelli casserole was delicious, the stewed chicken was tender, and the pork belly stew with green beans was flavorful. Every dish was delicious, satisfying, and generously portioned. We even made a special trip back to have lunch there on our second trip to Xinglong Mountain. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the place was quiet at night. Overall, it's a friendly, down-to-earth, and affordable farmhouse, highly recommended, and deserves a five-star rating.
