Hotel Waddengenot

What a terrible disappoin**ent. Booked hotel because my daughter is a water rat. I only heard there that there was no swimming pool (which is stated on the site), so a disappoin**ent. Once in the room, the bathroom turned out to be covered in mold and smelled terribly. Luckily we slept next to the wellness area which was beautiful and we were able to shower there. The restaurant closed an hour earlier than the website indicated. So it became starvation. Unfortunately, there was no alternative because there was only one restaurant open instead of three as the website indicated. In short, we recommend that the hotel give the website a major update... New photos of the outdated rooms and bathrooms are also necessary. As well as a good cleaning. Such a shame because the location is quite beautiful.

You don't even know where to start: the most basic accommodation at prices you would expect in the center of Amsterdam. A buffet for the completely intrepid, where the best thing was the supermarket yogurt, undrinkable coffee. In summary: a disgrace.

Nice quiet village, good food and drinks, Mattress needs to be replaced, but still able to sleep well after a nice walk.

The hotel is spread over several older buildings. Our room was well renovated and, above all, very clean. Perfect breakfast included in the restaurant opposite, where you can sit outside. The only criticism was that, with temperatures over 30 degrees outside, the room didn't cool down well at night because only the upper part of the window can be opened.

Starting point of the Pieterpad was convenient. Nice restaurant with nice staff. The downside was that the restaurant closed early and I couldn't have a drink at half past 9. Also no shops in the area. Something you have to take into account.

Hotel Waddengenot is a bit of a strange hotel. The reception is in a separate building that also serves as an ice cream parlour. The rooms are in the buildings on either side and can be reached via the street. Across the street is the restaurant where you can also have breakfast and dinner. Everything is basic. The beds are good and we didn't need more. Staff is very friendly.

The rooms are disappointing. I got a cold cafeteria feeling. The staff is nice and helpful, which makes it a bit better. The area is beautiful and quiet, so if I go out the next time I can, I will go mudflat walking again, ideal for the kids, but then I prefer to look for a friendly B&B that fits in with the setting.

Hotel Waddenweelde controls just about everything in this village. There is no competition in the area. The rooms are decent, but the bathroom is not clean. The staff is friendly. However, the menu is very limited. For example, the dessert consists only of frozen yogurt, there is nothing else. The three-course menu also offers no choice: meat, fish or vegetarian and nothing else.

Arrived at hotel Waddenweelde on Sunday evening. Reception was warm. When we opened the room door we had to swallow for a moment. A large room with a double bed, a painting on the wall and two bunks that you could lower as a third and fourth bed. No cupboard space, but two boxes where you could put things and also a coffee machine. Two high chairs, two folding chairs and a low table. Shower and toilet spacious and clean. Room too by the way. If you take a look around and realize that you are at the starting point of the Pieterpad, you will understand that the hotel is aimed at a stay of, for example, two nights. Then you also understand the design. After a bike ride and when opening the front door for the t****th time, everything was normal and fine for us. The space and size was actually nice. The next morning breakfast was served in the Waddengenot restaurant. Excellent breakfast and the dining room was nicely decorated, completely in keeping with the period of the building. The friendliness of the staff was striking. We were supposed to stay for three nights, but on the t****th night I got sick and we left. When checking out, our reason for departure was picked up and we were told that, because it was force majeure, we could come and catch up that night. Very nice gesture and it shows the commi**ent of the staff to the guests.
