Porto Platanias Village Resort

Just got back from a week at the Porto Platanias village resort . The hotel is very modern and overall a very good hotel , staff are lovely , rooms cleaned daily etc etc , the only real downsides to this place is the pool is freezing , the food is very good but a little samey which is pretty typical of this type of resort. We went as a family of 9 which two buggies and a wheel chair for my 83 year old dad who has difficulty walking , we found the paths very uncomfortable especially for my dad , the place is stunning and so are the paths but just not flat enough for a wheelchair or prams . Saying that the paths around the area of platanias are awful for wheelchair users and my dad injured his foot on a ridiculous part of the path . There are several large holes that we dangerous for everyone . Overall a great holiday .

Wonderful stay!!! Lovely friendly staff at the dining area for breakfast and dinner. All hard workers! Made our stay so relaxing and comfortable, nothing was too much to ask. Especially Nicos and the two ladies at the podium (can’t remember names sorry). All so friendly. Lovely resort very close to beach and shops has everything you need local. Beach 5 mins walk away, as well as a shopping centre nearby. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. Lovely pools and even an adults only pool which was nice as quiet. Lovely food and drinks couldn’t get enough! Thank you to all the team for everything!! See you soon 😊

Dude this hotel is fire it got everything you need all at once btw was here in oct not November but this place is a solid 100000/10 and we are visiting in 7 days from now so the pool was a little bit cold but still it was nice waking up and seeing the pool and the beach so close was a masterpiece and that bar was even better and the supermarkets this place had everything check it out

We were put in this hotel after our chosen one was closed unexpectedly for the season. The room is adequate, but bed is two singles pushed together which made an uncomfortable lump down the centre. Other than that, room was ok and kept clean. The food was quite nice, fresh and varied. My main bugbear is the all inclusive bar. The beer is pretty poor, the spirits are tasteless and god help you if ask for another shot, you are made to feel like Oliver Twist. There is absolutely no entertainment on in the evening and the only bar in the hotel, the pool bar is dead at night probably because everyone is out at a decent bar, but when you have paid for all inclusive, you can't help but feel conned.

Our 2nd time at this hotel, lovely place with nice and welcoming staff, very spacey rooms. However, the both single beds have wheels and move very easily which is super annoying The pool area is nice, but most people reserve a sunbed before 7 am making it impossible to enjoy a day at the pool when there aren’t any beds available. Perhaps it would be an idea to close off the pool area entirely until the pool opens so people can reserve sunbeds. One family reserved 6 when they were only 3, just so they could move around during the day - very disrespectful. We had all inclusive, food not very tasty but fine overall. We ate out for dinner most nights. Would recommend but pool area needs improvements when it comes to sunbeds. And the room could use new beds without wheels.

Really good “value for money” 😊 Nice staff, nice pool, breakfast was many different choices, clean room - all in all a good atmosphere where we got what we paid for – and even more. Would definitely recommend this hotel for all types of guests.

We had a good holiday in this hotel. However this hotel is self-rated 5 star and applies 5 star prices. Unfortunately it was not at quite the level that we expected The positives : - roomy apartments - nice clientele -use of another hotel's pool -good location in Platanias, close to everything -very clean - 2 air con units in different rooms The not so good : -extra activities are at extortionate prices, e.g. 1 hour tennis for a family of 4 was 42 euros extra. Water park (a few slides) 40 euros for 4 -We only had breakfast included ( thankfully), despite the very big choice, most of the food and drinks were bad quality. Drinks tasted diluted and full of colourings. Coffee was undrinkable. Espresso was at extra cost.. I felt very sorry for all inclusive people. We only had excellent meals anywhere out of the hotel - no information given at the check-in. They gave us a QR code for the wifi, we then realized it opened an app with lots of useful information but it would have been good to be informed this was the case ( as we missed out until we accidentally found out) -the 'kitchen' was unusable, it consisted of 2 hobs, 1 pan and a kettle. They did not even have a toaster. I could not prepare one single meal. Fridge but not freezer (would have been handy for ice cream without paying the premium prices occasionally ). No cloth provided -no do not disturb sign. We had to ask for one as the cleaners kept coming in early waking us up -cleaner forgot to come one day -cleaner took one toothbrush away ( clearly accidentally) but was inconvenient -only 2 showers for check out customers (there was a very long queue when we left) so allow plenty of time if you need one before the airport I would not have been picking on these points if I had paid for a 3 star hotel. Bottom line is we had a pleasant stay but would not return. We have been to Greek hotels many times and had much better experiences in more budget accommodations

Very pretty hotel, very close to the beach. Everything was clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant, the food was good and diverse. My daughter enjoyed the mini disco, I think the animation team was great.
