Premier Inn Plymouth City Centre (Derry's Cross)

Stayed 26th of April till the 28th amazing stay staff were really nice! Room was really clean best one we’ve ever stayed at and will be back again :)

I've had a series of disappointing experiences at various Premier Inns across the UK recently, mainly due to staffing issues. However, this particular hotel stood out as a pleasant exception. The staff made us feel very welcome, and they were prompt and attentive to our needs whenever we required assistance. Thank you for the wonderful service! We look forward to our next visit!

Returning from Spain on the ferry, I knew I would arrive in Plymouth too late to get the train home, so I booked a night in a hotel so I could travel onward the following day. I booked with Premier Inn because I have used them before. I arrived about half past four. I booked an evening meal for six; it was good but not great. I slept well; I particularly liked the purple nightlight in my room (I don’t like sleeping in complete darkness). Breakfast was excellent. I knew I could get a bus from outside the hotel to the station for my train the following morning.

Saw a fantastic show tonight at the Theatre Royal and afterwards went back to the hotel bar for a drink. Cracking end to the evening which was made so much better by the friendliness and helpfulness of Caitlin and Terrie. They're both a credit to the Premier Inn, an absolute delight to see someone happy in their work and enthusiastic when dealing with customers, hope they're both on again tomorrow. Thank you ladies.

Hotel in itself rooms were tidy and clean manager downstairs in the morning called Kerry verbally abused me shouting at me in front of customers ruins my whole weekend this woman should not be on front of desk mixing with the public all over because I had an opinion over their breakfast because there was hardly nothing there and the cook food looks like it had been sitting there eight hours Plus avoid this hotel at all costs not very well run

What a brilliant place to stay to explore Plymouth. We took my parents for their wedding anniversary. The staff could not do enough. They were all so friendly and accommodating. Lilly, Ryan, Nicola and Terry went above and beyond to make the time great. The House Keeping staff also provided us with extras and the rooms were big,clean and comfortable with a great view of the theatre. Evening meal and the Anniversary breakfast was hot and tasty . Thanks so much for making our time so special. We had other evening meals at Positanos and the Chinese Buffet City. Both were excellent but Buffet city was cheaper . Both had great service.

We all had a lovely stay. Me the wife and our 2 young children really enjoyed ourselves. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, all of them went out of their way for us couldn't of asked for more. Breakfast was really nice great selection of hot and cold food. My 4 year old daughter was made to feel very special as we spent Easter Sunday there. She got lots of chocolate, one happy little girl.

After travelling from Newcastle Upon Tyne to see my family who live in Plymouth I have to say what an absolutely fantastic stay with a lovely clean room . Service was 100% massive thanks to Lily, Cait,Terrie who made our stay that extra special. I would highly recommend this Premier Inn.

This has to be one of the best run Premier Inn’s I’ve stayed at. Built from a converted department store, it has been really thoughtfully done and the design works well. Wherever you are in the hotel, it’s calm and quiet. All the staff were friendly and professional but particular mention should go to Terrie, Cait & Lily for their sterling work at reception and the dining area. It’s the attention to detail that sets this place apart from others: at breakfast, the hot food is always fresh and the staff constantly top up stocks of cereals, milk, bread and other continental breakfast items. Tables are cleared quickly and the whole dining area has a feel of being cared for. There’s plenty of cutlery (teaspoons not wooden stirrers) and tea pots as well as decent sized mugs for tea and coffee. The hotel is perfectly situated for the Theatre Royal (it’s literally opposite) and the town centre, with areas such as the historic Barbican and Hoe, just minutes walks away. My room was huge and very quiet. I stayed for 4 nights and heard no corridor noise at all. (No noisy cleaners shouting to one another or wedging room doors open leaving the tv’s blaring) These cleaners were discreet and went about their work quietly. This hotel even has a freephone taxi service which worked perfectly. I would thoroughly recommend staying here. It’s the people who make this hotel something rather special.
