Ikos Olivia

A fabulous Ikos property. We last visited here 7 years ago and it was wonderful up gave returned. We’re Ikos lovers and have visited nearly all of them. Olivia’s gardens have blossomed beautifully and their new restaurant and bar refurbishments have really brought the resort up to more recent Ikos standards. The team are experienced and genuinely want to offer you the best and most genuine hospitality. Your deluxe area is beautiful and the swimming pool is peaceful and picturesque. Thank you to Athina, Maria and George and all of your amazing team for truly looking after us for all 8 nights. My parents first Ikos and it won’t be their last. We have just returned from a week in Ikos Olivia and have a had a fantastic family holiday however feel let down on some elements of the stay. This was our 3rd visit to an iKos hotel and the 2nd time to Olivia. We decided for the 1st time to book deluxe room with a private pool. The pool was great and bigger than expected. We had diner on the beach (included in the deluxe option) which, the lady who served us, Anna, was fantastic - great personality, attentive and a real credit to Ikos. The french man who was working alongside her was lovely also. The room, with private pool which we booked I advance had a good layout. The floor tiles on the patio near the pool are very slippy - these need to be changed for something safer. The children really loved having this available to them. We were disappointed that the room (619) had no view - it looked onto walls of the deluxe pool kitchen. We did raise this with the concise offered a different room but it would’ve meant moving everything 4 days into our stay and whilst appreciated was inconvenient for us. I’d recommend playing close attention to the location of the room if you are booking this room type. The rest of the Deluxe offering was not what we were expecting and a disappointment. The deluxe beach adjoins the public beach. The kids on arrival (around lunchtime) did not receive the welcome pack as promised and on departure we didn’t receive the gift of olive oil nor the lunch that we’d pre ordered for our travel, this didn’t make or break the holiday but is it indicative of the Ikos brand getting too big and losing sight of the little details. These were basic mistakes. We tried to make changes to our dinner reservations as we didn’t want to eat in the same restaurant 2 nights in a row but this couldn’t be accommodated. We weren’t offered the dine out option which a few other people we spoke to had, not sure if we would have done this but it would have been nice to have the option. We felt the standard of food in general was not as good as at Aria nor as good as our last visit to Olivia, especially case in Provence on our last night where 3 of 4 starters were cold (meant to be hot) and the mains courses were poor quaility. Our kids starters and main courses all came at the same time. Communication was difficult also with staff not able to understand what was happening. The day time room service options have very few healthy options. Across the whole resort the drinks on offer seemed to have declined and when we asked for certain things on the drinks list the were not available which has not happened before. The food in Fresco and Anaya were great but would highly recommend booking these in advance. We took full advantage of the sports and activities available at the hotel - the football academy, football tournament and also the tennis course every morning. It would be great if the hotel did a bit more to encourage more numbers of kids at these activities - if you don’t research them y

We were recommended to try one of IKOS hotels and we were disappointed. We stayed at IKOS Olivia and had a great, relaxing and well looked after week. Staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. We like to thanks all the management and their staff. They all worked really hard to make sure the guests are comfortable. We had one of the bungalows which was very comfortable and quiet. You get option to eat at the al carte restaurants which need to book on arrival or if you have a preference you can email the hotel prior to your arrival and book in advance. Highly recommend the Fresco restaurant although the quality of food overall was pretty good. If you book direct through hotel a year in advance you get 10% off and you get private transport to and from airport. IKOS Olivia seemed very popular with families.

We visited Ikos following my parents highly recommending the resort and chain to ourselves and although it was pushing our budget, we pushed ahead and booked the ‘holiday of holidays’. All I can say is this holiday was all that. I cannot express how friendly and helpful all of the staff were, from stepping foot off the transfer, we were treated like royalty. We were greeted with a warm face towel to refresh ourselves to a lovely helpful lady suggesting we headed straight to lunch after a morning of travelling while she checked us in and took care of our bags…at that point we knew we had entered a hotel that really cared and wanted to make us feel welcome. The food was OUTSTANDING, I have read the other reviews on here and I am baffled what others want from a hotel. The buffet had so many options on a daily and catered for so many wants. The staff and the head chef were present every sitting, greeting and ensuring the food was always presented in a way that looked appealing. If you didn’t want the buffet, the choices were endless from Provence (French), Fresco (Italian), Anaya (Asian), Ouzo (Greek), The Garden and if that wasn’t enough, you could eat out as part of the all inclusive offering. All the food from these restaurants was amazing and everything so tasty, with so much thought put into them all and again, if there wasn’t anything you particularly wanted, you could ask and you would get! Yes booking early is advised but isn’t that the same with anything good?! The staff - PERFECT. The staff were/are priceless, they made the experience, from Petro on the pool side, to Dmitri at the Aqua bar, to the beach buddies cleaning the sunglasses to Stella at Ouzo, to Anna at our Dinner on the Beach - thank you for making our holiday so special. There was nothing that they wouldn’t do for you, they truly wanted to see you enjoying your holiday. On our last day, there was no seating available for breakfast, the lady manager (I forgot her name) moved heaven and earth to accommodate our last request. We paid for the deluxe and I’m unsure if I would pay for this again as for us, my husband doesn’t drink so the champagne in the room wasn’t drank and the kids loved the splash pool so the deluxe pool area wasn’t used. However, the room was beautiful with views out of this world and the ability to prebook more meals was very handy, along with the very responsive WhatsApp concierge which dealt with a lot of things very efficiently (Anatasia and Ioanna) The hotel was always clean and tidy, I didn’t see a branch out of place and our room was forever immaculate with daily room service and daily night service, complete with a cookie which my kids found brilliant when we returned on an evening. The pools were spotless and again the staff were very quick to bring you fresh towels while you selected your bed for the day. Yes, there are kids, it isn’t an adults only hotel but there are adults only sections so you can avoid kids if you’d like to. The entertainm

We spent an absolutely phenomenal week at Olivia. The entire team took care of every detail of our vacation and made sure that all experiences were at the highest level. The lovely and hard-working Athina was sincerely interested in making our stay at Olivia the best family vacation possible. I will also mention that the entire resort is exceptionally well-kept and the gardens are very impressive. What we love at Ikos is delicious ala carte food. Each restaurant has delicious food and the selection of wines (including non-alcoholic ones) will satisfy absolutely everyone. My son had his first birthday during the holidays and I wanted everything to be perfect, and it was. We are happy that we could spend this special time in this wonderful place! The level of service provided by the staff at this hotel is exceptional in my opinion with nothing being too much trouble. The food and drink at all of the restaurants is of a high standard with our favourite being the Garden which is smaller and more intimate. You can also take advantage of the opportunity to use a Tesla for the day which enables you to visit various villages in the surrounding area and places of interest. I really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning in the future.

Oh Ikos Olivia you didn't let me down! We have just returned from a week here - rotten weather but hey ho, not Ikos's fault! The welcome, the attention to detail, the beautiful Ikos smell, the fabulous staff, meals, room - every single thing was 100%. I stupidly left all my medication at home (in a neat bag which fell out of my in flight bag.....) I was so concerned, I got an email from my GP with the list of dosages and then needed to get to Pharmacist. On going to reception to book a cab to find one I was told not to worry that their Pharmacy would sort it all out - and they did. No fuss, no more panic and fear of having to return home early - all done so graciously. I'll be forever grateful for that alone. Customer care is utmost in an Ikos, regularly asked if all was OK, could they do anything to make our stay better....Yes there were lots of noisy preschoolers there, and yes it does start to get on your nerves - not the kids fault, or Ikos. Ikos Olivia has specific adult only areas, pool, beach and restaurants, so I really don't think they can do any more? The grounds are beautiful, guess we were seeing them at their best in spring? Food to die for, drinks on hand all the time and (wait for it) someone coming round to see if we needed our sunglasses cleaned!! I can't wait to go back

The staff at this hotel are amazing. They are 10/10. We went in may having previously stayed at Oceania before. The hotel was 90% parents with babies and toddlers. It was unbearable with screaming everywhere. Nappies prams. Middle class parents. Milo / Hugo / Henry / Oliver (pick a name). I love to see Henry run up and down the restaurant with a Peppermill 7 times. I love that Hugo did a poo in a potty on the beach right next to us. I love to see how loud Oliver can scream at dinner at 930pm as I’m trying to eat a pad Thai. Get the vibe? I am sure it’s fine the rest of the year but we won’t be coming back because you can tell that the accountants have had a hand in the food and drink. The wine value has dropped significantly and the high value items have now been rationed. Even the feta has been “dusted” over the salads. I have this vision of 2.6cm cubes of feta being rationed. You try getting a bottle of the wine you actually want. It was not like this before. A shame really as it’s a beautiful place with amazing staff and I honestly don’t know how they put up with the screaming kids and entitled rude middle class parents that love to complain about everything. French German Dutch families all seem to have impeccably behaved kids. A really stunning place and I’m sure it’s great in the school Holidays. Great food in fresco, the garden and Anaya. You try getting a booking in there tho?! Buffet was poor. Provence was very poor for breakfast lunch and dinner. The garden was a nice respite and should be adults only. Nice bar by the beach. We slept really well. The room service food and room service breakfast were excellent. Again though try getting the wine you want vs the €5 bottle they send / offer you. The eat out option at Mouragio was great. Lovely food.

Absolutely excited about my vacation. The results are exceeded our expectations! Amazing customer service, staff and all environment. For my opinion, this all inclusive even better than Mexico, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Jamaica! Love food, especially our favourite - Flavours restaurant. A lot of activities you can do for fun for yourself and with kids. Great kids club. Complementary Tesla rental to go outside of hotel. We enjoyed. Nice room service. 24/7 food delivery to your room, and seems like there’s no limit of what you want. Highly recommend!!
