It is difficult to rate this place. It is only a small place, rather basic but clean and honest in its way. Friendly and well-meaning staff but a bit challenged when busy in the restaurant. Our room (room 4) was a bit small but clean and OK. The bathroom was also small but it worked. Breakfast was in the building across the yard and was surprisingly good in a very nice breakfast room. The train tracks are close by and the Sachsenstübel provide ear plugs for you. But we didn't need them – despite having the window open at night. Sure, the trains pass by but they are quickly gone and we did not find it a problem. I give this place three stars because it is quite basic, but our experience was OK. – Just don't expect too much in the way of "luxury".

Wir wollten ein tolles Adventswochenende in Königstein verbringen. Daher buchten wir im Sachsenstübl mit Blick auf die gute Speisekarte ein Doppelzimmer. Dann der Schock. In einer lapidaren Mail teilte man uns die Schließung der Gastronomie mit. Ganz klein, am Ende der endlosen Mail. Rein zufällig 2 Tage nach der letzten Möglichkeit einen kostenlosen Stornierung (ein Schelm wer Böses dabei denkt!). Der Kontakt mit der Pension war so gut wie unmöglich. Nur per Mail, gelesen werden die aber nur einmal täglich. Nach der Stornierung kamen dann aber doch Mails, allerdings nicht sehr freundliche... Also, wenn ihr das wollt was im Portal als Service / Angebot des Hotels angepriesen wird, sucht euch eine andere Pensin.
