Very comfortable cabin with a fine view of the ocean. Our hosts were very accommodating. The tourist season was basically over so restaurant options were few but the local Coop was extremely well-stocked and the cabin kitchen was as well. Port Hood is a lovely, quiet town. We loved beachwalks right in front of the cabins and great sunsets!

Loved the view of the water. Doesn’t matter what cottage you stay in. We’ve been many times in the last few years and love it.

The view of PortHood Island is stunning.
The beach is literally right at your doorstep.
The Cottages themself are spacious and well maintained.
All the implements you need to cook a meal, BBQ, or just make coffee in the morning are there; you just need to bring the food.
My only regret is that we only planned for 2 nights; I think we may return next season for the week and totally immerse ourselves in the beauty of the region.

This was the best stop on our Cabot trail trip. Beautiful cabin with everything you need, well maintained, well decorated to make you feel at home, back porch facing the ocean, and a beautiful beach right there, we loved it and wished we could have stayed longer.

View was great - owners friendly and helpful. Good area to travel from while exploring Cape Breton and the Park. Lovely beaches in the area.

The cottage is simple and very clean. The views and beach are outstanding. Colin and his staff are warm and welcoming. They provided us with information about other nearby beaches and activities. We loved the tour of the Glen Breton Distillery. Next time we’ll try out the restaurant.
I would definitely recommend the Lighthouse Cottages and we plan to return in the future 😁💕

Little slice of heaven! Cottage was exceptionally clean and well stocked. It even had a BBQ. There was a grocery store and fish coop close by to gather food for meals. Close walk to an amazing beach for walking, swimming and collecting sea glass. The sunrise and sunsets are spectacular from the Adirondack chairs at the cottage. Colin the owner was welcoming and helpful. Wish we could have spent more time in the area. Would highly recommend the lighthouse cottages to unplug, relax by the sea and recharge.

Our cottage was super clean, well appointed and spacious. The view and sunset were spectacular. The kitchen was well equipped. Being so close to the great beaches was wonderful. The lady who checked us in was extremely polite, friendly and informative and gave us great recommendations for dining out. I highly recommend this resort!
